Pros: 1) Location is good Cons: 1) Room had sand all over the floor from the previous guest 2) reception gave another couple the same room after we checked in and they walked in our room 3) no noise insulation so you can hear everyone at night and hardly sleep 4) stain on my pillow Booked for 4 nights and checked out after 1. Told the manager would contact us to discuss but nothing. We went to another hotel at £20 a night and it was much better!

I absolutely loved my stay here. Definitely get a pool access room if there is one available. I was in the pool early each morning to cool off, then sat on my step and read a book with a cuppa tea. It was so relaxing, I would've loved to have stayed longer than 4 nights there.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. My first impression were great, the hotel was clean and quiet. However, their staff save my phone number on their own phone and text me with an impertinent question. It's terrible, the staff is not only were so rude but the staff is sharing my number to some friends. Well, I will never ever come back again to this hotel. It's violating guest's privacy. Thank you so much for the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.

Well.. I really want to like this place (as every place in Bali during these tough Covid business crippling restrictions). To begin, the health compliance form you must complete on registering is way over the top. Asking me if I will wash my hands every hour is a bit over the top along with a litinany of other questions. As there is no time qualifier I suppose I could set my alarm to wake up every hour and wash my hands if I elected to check the "Yes" option, if not checked as yes will my stay be rejected? But the problem I have is that the walls are thin. With low occupancy you think it would be easy to space guests out but no, I had to suffer noisy neighbors. The biggest problem was no hot water. I come down from the mountains of Plaga, where I only have a solar shower, to enjoy a hot shower. I pointed out the lack of hot water to staff, they went to check, and was not offered an apology, etc. So no thank you as to a return visit.

I'm a little surprised at the mix of reviews here, it seems like people either give this place a 1 or a 5. Well, I'm adding another 5 to the list! I thought the price, given the competition in the Canggu area, was reasonable. I wish my rate included breakfast, but I knew that it didn't when I booked (oddly enough, I didn't even have the option to book breakfast included when reserving my room). Anyways, not a complaint, just a thought. Breakfast is only 65k for the buffet anyways which includes coffee, juice, hot & cold items, fruits, pastries, etc. Plenty of choice and a tasty. The views from the restaurant aren't bad either. The room was comfortable and clean, no complaints there. It was on the smaller side, but that's ok I'm not here to sit in my room and examine the walls. Speaking of, the walls are not paper thin. They're made of bricks or concrete... What is thin is the door, it's hollow. And sound seems to transfer fairly easily through the floor/ceiling. Our room is below the 4th floor restaurant and you can hear them cleaning up/moving furniture at night when they close. As others have said, staff is super friendly, always smiling, have welcome drinks on arrival. All great, all around!

Good hotel. Pretty clean. Good location. Good underground parking lot for bikes. The other reviews say that the walls are thin. I would agree but I am a light sleeper and didn’t have any issues. Hotel was fairly quiet. Improvements: - there is only hand soap & body wash in the washroom. Need to supply shampoo, conditioner & lotion. - no fridge in the room - we had asked for towels in the afternoon & they wouldn’t have any available. Told us to wait a couple times until 4pm or 6pm - there was only 1 outlet near the bed - they don’t allow you to use their pool towels outside of the hotel. You can’t take them to any beach or pool bar. I find this strange because how can they even control this. Instead they should just charge you if you lost the towel.

Honestly beside the location, I don’t think I will stay there again. The first day they put me in a room that the safe box was lost, the draining was not working, the air conditioning was broken. Secondly, the staff refuse to refill my water and soap saying that their policy is giving the water and soap only once lol, when I booked 5nights there, so if I want a refill I have to book each night separately? Because then I would be entitled to it, which is really weird. Thirdly, they don’t clean my room unless I ask them too and they didn’t empty my bin for 3days even after I asked them. The towel and sheet had stain on them. The only good thing is the location. The hotel was very run down and tiring to get any service done. The check in time is 3pm btw, even the room was ready you have to wait outside, this is the only hotel that check in so late.

I had to switch rooms 3 times. This hotel had a flea infestation BEWARE!! The mattresses in 3 of the rooms were absolutely disgusting. They also screwed things up so we had to wait for our rooms for 5 hours. Would not stay in this hotel again.

I have just completed the photo and video refreshment project at FRii Bali Eco Beach Hotel, and the collaboration with Mr. Phay, the Sales & Marketing Manager, was truly fantastic. His coordination was impeccable, allowing our team to execute the photo and video refreshment work smoothly. Mr. Phay proved to be an outstanding collaborator. He professionally guided and supported the entire team throughout the project. His effective communication and efficient coordination made the entire process run seamlessly. In addition to our tasks at the hotel, Mr. Phay also provided guidance to several fascinating destinations around the hotel area, which we utilized to create destination videos. This allowed us to capture stunning footage that showcases the beauty of Bali. Moreover, Mr. Phay always provided solutions to every coordination issue we encountered during the project. His support and dedication to the success of the project were truly remarkable. We consider ourselves fortunate to have collaborated with Mr. Phay on this project. The excellent teamwork and a cohesive spirit resulted in satisfying outcomes. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Phay and the entire team at FRii Bali Eco Beach Hotel for their incredible support and cooperation throughout the project. We hope to collaborate again in the future! It's a 7-minute walk to the beach. The location is good. The room is spacious. But we were situated at the last room on the floor and it was a very long walk from the elevator to the room. On the first night, the air conditioner is not very cold even when set to the lowest temp, but it's all good on the second night. The bed is kind of comfy but the texture is a bit rough/itchy. The toilet also kind of smelled bad - a little bit like the smell of sewer. Also the walls and lower parts of the toilet is very stained. The bowl, also, is stained. The towels are okay. We didn't get to swim in the pool but it looks quite good. Well, you get the price of what you pay, anyway. It's practically beside Penny Lane and one street away from other restaurants like Milk&Madu, Varuna Warung, etc. 2 streets away from Fold

Pros - nil Cons 1) We booked through Airbnb and the staff made us wait for freaking 2 hours! Just because they’re waiting for confirmation from Airbnb. You don’t have they courtesy to allow us to check-in first. We were given a so-called temporary room and have to pay for deposit. Overall, it was super terrible check-in experience, which I’d spare the dramas behind it. 2) Our bookings include breakfast and while having our breakfast, the staff kept harassing us that our rooms didn’t include breakfast and we were looking at them and asked, did you check with you colleague? Obviously they didn’t. And they expect us to walk away after having the ‘courtesy’ to ask us that question? That was unbelievable. 3) There were no toiletries given. Full stop. 4) The bed was terrible and not well maintained. I’d suggest to sleep on the floor instead. 5) Most of the staff were poorly trained. I’ve been to Bali for several years and this hotel is by far the worst. This is a very very very unusual experience in Bali. So go figure.

Located in Canggu, near to the beach. Room is quite clean. I dont know why sometime wifi connection is too slow. If you need tooth brush and paste, you have to ask to receptionist. I think every room have a balkon to have a pool view. Breakfast is on the rooftop.

The room reeked of mold, pillows and mattresses were awful, double bed is just two twins put together. Cleaning crew didn’t clean garbage or replenish towels. Location superb, in the centre of everything with ATMs and supermarkets nearby. About 15mins from the beach.

Lovely hotel in the middle of everything in canggu. If you stay here, you avoid the terrible accident-driven "short cut" of canggu since you are already in the center. Walking distance to everything. The rooms are nice, clean and cute. The roof toop cool, the is food good but nothing new from hotel food. Nice area for swim and sun, a little bit much shadow but you will find a sun spot just drag your lazy bag around. Nice touch with some books and all servie available. Not expensive for being Canggu. Im not the biggest fan of hotels over smaller places, but like this one 🧡

Very basic rooms. Ok for backpackers. Room had no curtains and was small. Pool access room. More like a hostel. Moved to better hotel next day.

I stayed here for 20 days and I loved my stay here, the staff is super helpful and as a solo traveler I found it safe and very comfortable, there were so many other solo travellers staying here. Quite friendly and it’s only 5 mins walk from the beach. The location is perfect and if I ever plan to visit canggu again I’ll definitely be staying here.

We stayed for 2 weeks here. The location is very good as is close to the beach and the center of Canggu. We had some problems at first because they have 3 type of rooms: one with pool access and 2 with ocean view or pool view. We though we booked the biggest one they had and with pool access but when we got at the reception they gave us just a regular one. Very small, perfect if you want to use it just for sleep. The bathroom looks dirty, even if they clean the room daily. The toilet smells and sometimes the water in the shower. Good AC, good internet connection, good enough storage, there is also a small table that you can use when you work. We had breakfast included but tried it one time and I didn't feel good afterwards. The staff is very kind and helpful every time we had any problem. Also, they have a nice rooftop as a restaurant, not many people go there, but you can work and enjoy a nice ice tea there. All in all I think the staff was the best thing here because were always smiling and there to help you. I would recommend this place only if you get a good deal because of the location and the people working there.

Honestly? This place is a dump. It's only redeeming feature is the location, but even that doesn't make up for how awful it is. Firstly, we arrived at 5pm, and despite check in time being 2pm our room wasn't ready so we had to wait in the lobby for 30 mins whilst they cleaned the room. Cleaned, you say? Barely. The room was filthy. Visible grime and hair on the bathroom counter, and stained sheets. Yuk. It was also horrifically loud, absolutely no noise insulation so you can hear people coming and going all through the night, as well as the very loud elevator dings (our room was right next to the elevator). The A/C unit was like a freight train, so you could either not sleep from the noise of it or not sleep from overheating. It also wasn't that cheap, compared to other places we stayed at in Bali that were cheaper, cleaner and more comfortable. Would not recommend.

Overall not bad but a lot to be improved. Location is great and staff are nice. Also bed is pretty comfortable. A few basics that were missing were shampoo (only hand soap included), change towels (every day they ran out and didn’t have any to replace our old ones), mini fridge. A couple other things that were not ideal were the paper thin walls and the bathroom had this weird roof that you can constantly hear water running above you.

Simply awesome!! Love our stay here at the magnificent Frii hotel, which is in the heart of Canggu. The concierge happily upgraded our room to one of the epic rooms downstairs which lead directly into the pool, for only an extra 100 00 IDR. Loved the contemporary room design.

The terrace is beautiful. This hotel offers good quality for the price. It's well located, the breakfast buffet is delicious, and the customer service is good. However, the bathroom needs a deep cleaning; the walls and overall cleanliness were lacking, and there were ants. I would recommend it if you're traveling on a budget.

  • 3/5 Yomna E. 5 months ago on Google
The hotel is quit small and the rooms are very tiny to be honest, but they were clean. I had a problem with my room that the window of the balcony wasn’t tight enough and it could let ants and lizards inside but thankfully they changed the room for me. Breakfast was good to be honest and staff are nice and trying to be helpful.

The staff always have a big smile for you, superb friendly. The problem of the room I’m stay is the bathroom. It’s hard for the water to flow down when taking a shower, so the water will flow outside, like flooding. Can have a sunbath in-front the pool. Will come back again.

This is my 6th nights staying in 3 rooms of this hotel. Well, everything is great, it's comfortable enough unless young white people coming and make noise until late night. Power source issues make the TV can't be turned on. I will recommend this place to everyone when visiting Canggu

we dont have much complains other than that its a bit worn down. the rooms are cute and clean but just the toilet seat is yellowish already. when we arrived my dad requested for them to clean the toilet bowl cause it was yellowish also. but they responded fast and cleaned. also the towels were really old and stained and a bit icky. we didn’t dare to swim in the pool also hahaha but really appreciate the staff (receptionists) they are very helpful and kind. on our way to the airport we realized we left our passports on the vault and they were able to pass it to the grab rider we booked to collect them. we received them on time and we really appreciate it. the place was very convenient, theres a mini mart in front, a souvenir shop on the left and restaurants and spas and bike rentals just few walks around. overall we enjoyed our stay. its not too bad. actually good place to stay. comfortable. complete amenities. my dad said he thinks its better in person than on pictures. :)

A lovely quiet, clean, beachy hotel. It's not fancy but it doesn't need to be, it has all the basic amenities and more. Absolutely amazing friendly service, the food and drinks were excellent value and very tasty, and it was nice and clean and tidy throughout the hotel. Located right on one of the main streets in Canggu, the Frii is a great central location to stay as it's walking distance to the beach and to the shops, restaurants, etc. The Minimart across the street has all the basics like milk and bottled water. Despite being on one of the main streets it is very quiet once inside the hotel. The beds were comfy and the buffet breakfast at the Frii is so amazing 😍 and the view from the rooftop bar is really nice! The pool is lovely and clean also. As an adult family without young children, the Frii was perfect for some peace and quiet. Definitely recommend staying here and we will hopefully return soon 🙂 Thank you to all the wonderful staff, we had a wonderful stay!

Good location but the worst hotel i ever try. Check in Time 15.00 im waiting so long . Fyi check out time 12.00. the hotel is not really clean. Dirty water, the bed is making noises when i move. We stay on 3rd floor and we heard a lot of noises coming from ceiling like someone stumping and jumping all night.

Great location, amenities are a bit worn down. One of the showerheads was rusted and produced water that smelled like sewage. Ant trail on the wall. The hotel reception was responsive and came up immediately to fix our issues with the shower, faulty air con and TV remote. Pros + Mini-fridge, free coffee and kettle + Warm but not hot shower + Good customer service + Good location Cons - Pool closes at 7pm, couldn't get to use it - Worn down amenities

Staff was all friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. Restaurant view was great because you can see the Canggu beach. Although when we check in, no one was in front of hotel so we didn't get any help for our luggage. And your parking space was soooo limited I had to park in front of hotel which is not safe. Other than that it was all great.

I've stayed here a few times over the last few years. As mentioned by others on here, the spaces are a bit stainy and worn down, mostly due to moisture in Bali. So are the towels and bed linens. It's an organized and well driven hotel with good and stable WiFi. Superb staff, breakfast, and location. It's just a 5-minute walk to the beach with stunning sunrises and sunsets.

  • 1/5 R 1 year ago on Google
Its a party hotel for young white people. Its possibly the noisiest hotel ive ever been in. You can hear people walking above you. You can hear the service trolley outside in the corridor. You can hear the young folks laughing drunkenly at 3am by the pool. You can hear the motorcycle’s passing by the road- the hotel is right next to the road by the way. The aircon barely works. The home made screen door (they dont have curtains for the ground floor rooms) leaves a slight gap in the middle, so people in the pool/by the pool can see you into your room. So if you are a young white women looking to party and be noisy- please stay here and keep each other awake. This will allow other people leading healthier and more normal lives room in all the other hotels in canggu.

Amazing staffs!!! Too bad everything still closed because of the pandemic would love to try their pool club, spa and the resto. But that's ok, because the location itself walking distance with everything and the beach.fast internet, Oh they have gallon water on every floor so, that's an extra point as well. Now what I find their lacking: small parking space, if you drive car it would be hard especially if you're a std women driver. Only local tv, the bed is not that comfy, no amenities whatsoever

Nice rooms, staff was really nice and breakfast comes included in the price and it’s buffet with nice and various options to choose. The bathroom was a bit smelly but nothing too serious. Nice cleaning and perfect location. Would recommend this place and choose it again!

Pretty clean they also make up the room everyday, good location, very humble employee. If you need hair dryer ask in advance, room not really big but ok but the walls are thin sometimes can hear sounds from outside / other rooms.

This hotel is perfect if youre planning just to spend times around munduk, echo beach and canggu beach area. If you like to go other area like Ubud, Kuta or central Bali then you have to consider traffic jam which is always occurred in Canggu main road. The room is quite clean, AC was not cold anymore, I just dont have a chance to tell the housekeeping. I like the location, only 5 mins walk to Echo beach, so many famous cafe like Penny Lane, Crate, avocado factory etc. The pool is something else, love the length, also clean dan well maintained. They have breakfast area in 4th floor which is quite nice. Road was narrow, thank God they provide parking area in the field right across the hotel.

We stayed at the Frii Bali Echo Beach for almost a month! It’s super close to canggu beach, the staff is super helpful and friendly. The pool is always clean. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the area. They clean hour room as frequently as you like and they do a great job. I would definitely recommend this place!

The beds were old. I could feel the bed's springs while lying down, it was really uncomfortable to sleep in. Had some trouble while checking in as well. Definitely do not recommend staying here. You can find a better place to stay for a better price in Bali.

Close to beach if you love to surf. Roof top breakfast. Pool was freezing for me as it never gets any sun as building is too tall. Room are what you pay for. The staff are absolutely lovely. Great customer service. Close to restaurants and shops.
