Cancel my booking last minute without any confirmation, causing me having no place to stay. No empathy from the hotel, trying to blame me for everything. And when they see this comment, they still whatsapp me and blame me for the bad comment…Did you seriously think you have no responsibility at all? You blame Agoga, blame me, but you never considered others’ feelings and offered any solution. For those who want to book this hotel, I hope you will never meet any surprises or unexpected because the owner here will just say “oh it’s your fault. We can’t help at all.” And please! Don’t pretend to be polite and helpful in the Google comment while messaging people blaming people midnight in WhatsApp!!! So rude!

Very good location, close to echo beach and la brisa. Clean fresh rooms, and you can order breakfast on the first floor. I was so happy to wake up on sunrise and walk with my board to the surf spot :) Friendly staff. Next time come back to Surf Motel again . 5+

Not to come here again. Room is a bit rundown, especially the bathroom. Can’t use GoCar to go out as local driver association controls the area and force hotel guests to use their cars with exorbitant price.

The surf motel has a rather good location. Quiet, tucked away in an alley, but near convenience stores, massage, haircut, food & restaurants. It is very new & clean. They have a pool downstairs and a pool bar upstairs as well. Wifi was pretty weak. There wasn’t much of a view except construction sites. Bed is comfortable, toilet is nice and everything was good. Staff is also very helpful. Would definitely consider coming back again!

For me it’s overpriced for what you get. Everything is super basic, cheapest soap, no pot and cups in the room (yes, they do have a bar where you can get tea, but I love drinking it at night)! Balcony - just a big window - it’s super tiny and no chairs and table there. So not very bad, but you definitely could find much better for this price in Canggu. Bed linen with yellow stained

Rooftop pool and lounge area was under renovation during our stay which they didn’t tell us even though we were in contact before our arrival. So that was disappointing. Staff were very nice and helpful. Room was clean and nice. Our balcony doors had large gaps which let some bugs through. In general it was chill and quiet. There is a large seating area with workspaces and another pool downstairs. They serve food and drinks which are quite good as well. You can rent a motorbike from them but it’s relatively expensive.

Great location if you want to visit La Brisa Beach Club which is easily walkable. Hotel was very clean and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay, roof pool was a bonus. Beds were comfortable, water pressure was good.

We enjoyed our stay here. The employees were very kind and helpful, the breakfast/food was good and the rooftop pool was a nice place to relax. It’s possible to rent a scooter at the hotel. 4 stars because the room was a bit noisy, we could hear the elevator and people in the hall kinda loud.

I really loved it here! First I only booked a week and then decided to stay full three weeks. the staff is amazing, super friendly, always happy and helpful :) the design of the hotel is really nice, I loved the downstairs coworking area (they also had a little café here, which I didn't know!) bathroom & water pressure are perfect (its a thing with long hair...) best thing tho is the location, right in the heart of canggu but super quiet and peaceful. you can walk or scoot anywhere! THANKS for an amazing time guys!!

I spent 3 months on Bali and I tried a lot of hotels and guesthouses. But only in Surf Motel I felt myself like at home. Definitely on of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The place isn't bad. Nice co-working space and friendly stuff. The room was of a good size and we liked the large desk. However, the Internet connection in the room was vunstable especially during peak hours. This was very frustrating to us as we needed a quite area for online meetings. Also the bathroom would costantly get flooded.

Super friendly staff. Good location next to the beach. There was a common room for working. During my stay the rooftop pool was under construction so I didn’t get to experience that unfortunately. The only thing I didn’t like was that you can hear footsteps in the hall and above me. But in general, the other guests who stayed were quiet. Most of them were there for surfing and working like me.

Amazing place & amazing people! Thanks to Surf Motel for organizing our stay in Canggu! We loved the rooms & they upgraded their menu that is crazy delicious, we surfed and stayed there all the time! Thanks for becoming the best part of our travels to Bali!

Really nice hotel, the roof and lobby are really cute and the staff are super sweet and extremely helpful! The only small thing was that the bed wasn’t amazingly comfortable… nevertheless great hotel, peaceful and quiet as well! Also- location is spot on!!

I really really enjoyed my stay at Surf Motel. The location is great - quite but really close to all the places to eat and the beach. The rooftop is so nice to chill at and the rooms are very clean and new. Highly recommend and will definitely come back again!

Excellent location in the city center, close to the beach and comfortable rooms. Can’t imagine a better place to chill than on the rooftop including swimming pool and sun stretchers. Don’t forget to try their (cheap) smoothie bowl breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay!

Such a Nice and cool place.. love the roof top and evenmore the lobby.. good for relaxation and work.. super friendly staff the manager did a Great job working with Them.

Pros: The location is relatively close (15min walk) to the main canggu street and 3 min walk to the beach front. You can’t flag a taxi to get around, so you either walk or rent a scooter or pay for their transport which isn’t cheap. Cons: This is a bare minimum accommodation. Aside from bath soap and a safe (with bad instructions), there are no other amenities. The “bar” on the top floor is not open, the reception closes at 5:30pm. Construction beside the hotel goes on all the time. Basically, not many people choose this place, mostly surfer dudes who spend the day out. This is an extremely basic hotel accommodation.

We initially came for only a few days, we ended up staying for three weeks :) great service, very good internet and coworking space, comfortable room and very central location.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Good Story Surf Motel. The staff were incredibly accommodating and were willing and able to meet all of our needs. The rooftop pool area is the perfect spot to relax have a drink and a swim and enjoy the sun. We found ourselves up there for the most part of our stay. The drinks are reasonably prices but hotel is also accommodating of BYO food and drinks - which makes the space feel more like home. The area is very central walking distance to many of Canguus most popular attractions like La Brisa, and The Lawn. Easy scooter hire from the store out the front. Rooms are a decent size, basic but clean, and require everything you need for a mid range hotel.

Awesome central Canggu stay that truly ticks all the boxes and more for a good price. The rooms are cozy, spacious, with good wifi (and multiple to connect to) and strong aircon, Netflix which is great, and work desk. Staff are LOVELY and always smiling and ready to help. Rooftop pool is beautiful and great space for coworking with a cafe on-site. Very homey space, convenient underground garage for scooters too. I loved my stay here and would definitely return!

This place met our expectations. The rooftop area was awesome for sun bathing and the location is near beach. Staff was helpful and co-operative when we faced difficulties.

Dirty stained bed sheets, one plug in the whole room and terrible smell coming from the drains. Big construction going on right next door. I left after one night

I loved how close this hotel is to all the hustle and bustle of Canggu, the rooftop bar is such an amazing touch especially when you get sick of the beach and sand, it’s got such a chilled vibe and the staff here at the bar and In reception easily go above and beyond to help you - we will definitely be staying again and would recommend for any couples looking for somewhere close enough to the airport to start or end your travels in Bali! Tucked away off the busy road but 3 mins away from the beach and literally 30 seconds from everything else. Easy walk to main street shopping in canngu. Roof pool is fabulous and nice to hang out and relax. Room Was modern and clean, staff were really great. Also some gym equipment available with trx ropes. Will be back next year!

One of my favorite hotels in Bali. It's quiet at night... That's huge. The location is so close to Dojo co-working space that you can walk there in 2 minutes. The ground level pool is shaded and surrounded by a great chilling area. The rooftop pool has a gorgeous view and is attended by a bar so drinks all day long. Love this place, truly
