Perfect location, party atmosphere, amazing owner and very clean

The best hostel we’ve ever stayed in. The staff are amazing. The free pool and nice pool/bar area is fab. A good mix of chill and party, and it’s so quiet through the night. The beds are comfy and rooms always kept clean. Free water and tea/coffee, plus guest fridge to keep everything cool was a lifesaver. The dinners were also so delicious. The overall vibe is just perfect. Nice and social, we met so many lovely people. Queen & the team went above and beyond to make our stay in Canggu a great one. Very sad to leave Castaway but we will 100% be back!! Cannot recommend this place enough. Huge thanks to Queen, Yanti, Ayu, Gede & Made!! Xx

Nicely balanced hostel. Good atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They organize lots of activities and the hostel facilities are decent. I do feel the bathrooms and the appliances in them could use some maintenance. Like the loose toilet seats and water fountains. But in general a great hostel! My go to for Canggu.

Who knows that the best local food I tasted was the free dinner by Queen. The staffs are kind and helpful. Room is clean and comfy. But for those whom easily got bitten by mosquito, prepare the battle gear so you got the max best time staying.

Planned to stay at this hostel for 3 nights but ended up staying a week as we loved it so much! Really great location and the rooms were nice and clean. Nice pool too. Sociable hostel but also not too loud. Staff are so friendly especially Ayu who was so lovely 🥰❤️

The staff has been so nice and family like. We partied with them, hugged, talked, laughed. It was just great. In the evening they organize dinners and parties to go together to. The hostel has just the perfect location. About 4 minutes drive to the beach and cool cafes around it. Would definitely recommend🤍

I really enjoyed my stay at Castaway! The staff are super friendly and funny. Had really nice conversations with Ronan. I was in the six bed mixed dorm and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was...like literally spotless! My bed was comfortable and curtains were thick enough to keep a good amount of light out. The bathroom was also very clean although the shower could have been more powerful. Castaway is a very social hostel and I met some incredible people there that I will definitely be staying in touch with with. Lovely pool and decent chill out area. The hostel arranged a surfing lesson for me (additional charge) which was amazing. On one of the nights they cooked dinner which was delicious and made that evening even more social. Great location...many shops and restaurant just a walking distance. Would highly recommend this hostel and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Thank you for a lovely stay Castaway team. X

Loved this hostel! Only 5 dorms which means you get space to relax/sleep but also really easy to meet people. They have friendly staff, a swimming pool, pool table, free dinners, a very affordable happy hour and help you plan travel to your next destination. Also they make a big point to prevent bed bugs. What’s not to like?

The crew at castaway hostel were so nice to me and my friend at our stay here. They found my AirPods I had lost and kept them safe until I came back to get them! Highly recommend staying here such a great atmosphere and really kind people 🥰

During our 4 week vacation to Bali this was the place that we had most fun in. Got to meet alot of new people from all the world, made friends for life here. The staff is lovely and welcoming. Daily cleaning of the rooms, they organise things like bbq evenings etc. Thank you cast away for making our last week the best , see you next year ❤️

Best hostel in Canggu. The beers are cold, the staff are friendly and best of all, it has a swim up pool-bar and a pool table. Lots of space to grab a tan too. Too good 😊👍🏻

Stayed in Canggu for one night and I was looking for a place to stay at a low cost. The hostel was really cool, the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice too. Met some great people there even though I was there for such a short amount of time!

Loved it. Social enough to meet people, quiet enough if you need to get some work done (the WiFi is good enough to do Zoom calls!). Even after moving into my villa gonna pop by the bar the service has been that good. They also do airport pick ups which was really handy. Yeeewww

Cheap beers, super fun the be there. But the bathrooms spelt of bad sewage and that I couldn't handle especially as it's a party hostel so you're gonna be hungover in the morning.

Constant hammering and construction starting 8am... absolute nightmare if you’re hungover. Otherwise it would have been a decent hostel but the inability to sleep means I could never recommend to anyone.

Awesome hostel. Very friendly staff and chilled vibe. There might be the odd gathering depending on the guest but it doesn't carry on late. Pool is perfect.

Favourite place! Spent most of my trip at this hostel. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff is wonderful and the place has a homely feel to it. Have so many nice memories from this place, highly recommend ♥

Staying in castaway was great experience,s Staff was super friendly and helpful for any kind of requests. Rooms are clean and everything is brand new, awesome pool straight on the bar.located in canggu in a quiet place but still very close to the busy party area only ten minutes walk from the beach. Highly recommended and great value for money.

This place is amazing. Stayed there for 3 nights but wished to have been there longer. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, a superb pool with a swim up bar, the most friendly staff ever and more make this probably the best hostel I've ever been. Thanks!

Friendly, clean and comfy. They sprayed the beds for bedbugs before we got in the room so they really work to keep them clean. Internet was good and there was free water. The other guests were a bit noisy but not much they can do about that.
