Feels like home, friendly staff, very safe, bed are comfortable and everything is very clean. When I arrived late during the night the owner left for me signs how to find my room and my bed 😂 Steph is incredibly caring person , and treats everyone like an individual! She put all her heart in this place ! Thank You so much!

I had a wonderful stay at Tipsy Gypsy, very social hostel, I made lots of amazing new friends there. They give you lots of ideas for going out and they even helped us get the best deal when a group of us guests decided to head to Nusa Penida. Cannot recommend more highly, one of my favourite hostels in Bali!

Best hostel in Canggu! Perfect relaxing vibe in the day by the pool and lots of drinking games to enjoy around the table at night. Saki and Cena are extremely accommodating and will make you feel right at home. The beds are comfy, they come with curtains and there are private bathrooms in each dorm room. They almost feel like staying in a bungalow! Highly recommend.

It's okay, mosquitoes in the room, luckily they weren't attracted to me. Kinda expensive hostel coz of the area and the breakfast isn't cheap coz it's not included like some other places. Overall it wasn't rly my kinda vibe coz they blast music like maybe from afternoon to 11pm but I think if ur a party party kinda person maybe u like it. Did not rly like the construction to climb up to second bunk because it's steel and the metal strips were super thin so it was like painful every time moving up n down Also the plugin is installed at the side of the bed, and so it won't work if u have a slightly wider plug. It only fits single slot plug if u get what I mean It's nice they have a storage area so u can keep ur stuff if u check out early. It's not always locked tho so, a bit iffy. But yea nothing got taken from my bag so luckily there was mutual trust and respect among people around there It was cool that I was able to get a room when I went there last minute just around 10pm or so coz of some personal travel complications, so that was kinda a win

Stayed there with my partner for almost a week. Staff are super friendly and accommodating and always down for a game of something. It does get loud but 11pm sharp they cut it off and get everyone either out the door or in the dorms so can't really fault them. Location is pretty solid too with the cheapest coffee so far right out the back in the alley.

Looooved staying here so much. So much fun meeting people from all over the world with a great socialising and fun atmosphere. Staff are beautiful and so accommodating. Can’t wait to come back

This is my favourite hostel in Canggu by far. We've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The value for money is crazy and I've recommended Tipsy Gypsy to so many friends. People end up staying so much longer than planned and it's easy to see why. Trust me - you'll love it!

Very clean, the service was nice, the owner was friendly and very helpful she gave tips to improve our travel and also knew how to make everyone feel comfortable and have a great time drinking We had a very pleasant stay! The staff are also exceptional, felt like I was leaving a new family made in Bali. Best hostel! Fully recommend

Tipsy Gypsy is the best hostel in Canggu especially if you're a solo traveller and want to make friends. The place is like one big family and I was super happy with the quality of the rooms. They sell really affordable drinks and there is always something going on. Couldn't recommend more!

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights, the vibe was social and friendly, and the hosts were perfectly charming/amazing. It’s a perfect place to stay if you’re just flying into Bali, as you’ll get accustomed to the party vibes straight away. Also check out Old Man’s for clubbing/dancing. 5/5

THE BEST hostel in Canggu. Have had such a good time here! I keep going back haha. The owner and staff are soooo fun, friendly and full of advice for what to do in the area. I love how the hostel is so social and really strives to include everyone. Have made lifelong friends here! :)

Probably THE best hostel I’ve stayed at in Bali. The beds are super comfortable, everything is always clean, the staff is amazing and the owner Steph personally makes sure, that everyone always has a good time. Can’t recommend it enough especially if you want to stay for a longer period 🙌

The worst hostel experience I had. I knew it was a party hostel so I expected partying and drinking - which is fine, but what was not fine was a couple of absolutely drunk Brits barging into the room at 2 am, turning on the lights shouting and pestering people. I felt really uncomfortable. The staff was really apologetic and changed my dorm. Unfortunately, next day someone stole all my cash from the "locker" (which can be easily accessed from the other side by moving the bed) and took details of my cards and tired to use them online. The hostel offers zero security, anyone can access and the "lockers" are obviously a joke. After these two occurrences I didn't feel like socializing with the drunk crowd anymore. I really wish I chose a different hostel, because this experience really spoiled my time in Canggu. The staff were nice though.

Great hostel, smaller area to chill which means deeper connections. The owner Stephanie is awesome and very helpful! Great vibe and totally worth checking out to meet new friends and explore Canggu!

The rooms are spacious and the lockers are big enough for two backpacks. The bed was comfortable but there were stains in it. Also the bathroom wasn't very clean. Besides that it's a good party hostel in Canggu, the staff is fun and helpful and the bar and pool are nice. Next door is another hostel where you can eat and rent a bike.

What a nice place to stay! I came back 4 times because the staff is so amazing. You make a lot of friends here. Had the best time! Thank you guys so much for making Bali an even more beautiful place then it already is 😍

It’s so loud. One of the loudest hostels I’ve stayed at around the world actually because there are literal holes in the walls so there is nothing blocking your room from the loud drunken people in the “lobby”. This place is also not easy to find with their lack of signage in the alley. I was staying at another hostel before this in canngu, and really wishing I stayed there instead. Will update my review if it gets better, but the construction of this building being so open to the bugs and elements and sound…. I doubt my rating will increase.

The tipsy Gypsy is great! Steph and her staff are the best, helpful and personable. They have a little family there and everyone is welcome ❤️. Even though it’s a party hostel, I slept well! At first, this hostel located not in the main road which it was hard to find. But this hotel has a great ambience. The staff here is friendly and ready to help you. The bed sheets, bathroom and the dorm room are clean. The pool here is not too big but still good to chill in. If you are more like a social - party hostel, this place is suitable for you.

I was there for only 1 night along with my friends. Its a pretty chill space, the host and the staff are very friendly and understanding. Its walking distance from restaurants and other places. The washroom was clean and the rooms were well maintained. I would highly recommend for a people looking for a good hostel with good vibes.

The tipsy gypsy hostel was the first hostel I tried and I would do it again anytime. The staff is super nice and helpful and so is the owner! I made friends for life there, who where there for me like family, and experienced crazy things! It's just so much more than just a hostel to sleep in! Real great! It was so hard to say goodbye to everyone and travel on but I'm sure we'll see each other again! For anyone who loves adventure, meeting people and just having a good time, the tipsy gypsy hostel is perfect!

The owner steph is amazing, this hostel makes people feel like home. Small hostel with amazing staff. Location is perfect, only 10 minutes walking to beach, bar and other famous location in canggu. Staff are friendly and helpfull. The area are clean. Perfect for solo traveler who want to meet other people. Will recomend to people and definitely will coming back!!!

A very nice hostel, it’s small but in a good way- you can get to know people easily. The hostel owner is so much fun and in general it’s a very good vibe there, it also has a small kitchen and a refrigerator which is very convenient.

Staff were amazing and such good fun. Rooms are nice and comfy, the outside area is beatific and also it’s a very nice, social hostel. You will definitely meet a lot of new people there.

Beautiful cozy new hostel in central Canggu! Hotel quality beds & solid wooden bunkbeds with curtains, power outlet and light - super clean! 5 minutes WALK to the beach and all the main restaurants, bars, clubs (Old Man's / Pretty Poison / Deus Cafe). Noisy beds, bathroom was no more than okay, the sink and mirror are literally in the room so if you want to brush your teeth there is no seperate room for that so sleeping roommates get disturbed. No food offer at all and measly relaxing area outside next to the extrem tiny pool. At least hot showers and possibility to lock valuables

I stayed at The Tipsy Gypsy for a night and extended 2 more nights as I really liked it. Location is in walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops, the beach and all the hotspots. It is completely new and clean and has a lot of details I missed in other hostels, like curtains and little lamps at the bed. Atmosphere was great but it was also quiet at night. Definitely can recommend it and will come back!

Great hostel and awesome staff - highly recommend it. This hostel was great to stay at. Steph (the owner) was more than friendly and hanging out in the evening, drinking together and then going to the nearby bars (I recommend old man's and sandbar afterwards) was great fun. The hostel is in good shape and the rooms and bathrooms are clean. The beds get sprayed to prevent anything like bedbugs once a week. The beds have big storage units beneath them where your whole backpack fits in so that the room looks nice as well, gets easily cleaned and all your valuables are locked away when you're not there. The pool is nice to relax at and the beach is very close. If you need anything the staff makes sure to help you (renting a scooter/motorbike, washing your laundry, helping you with the police after your wallet got stolen (watch out for the ladyboys!)...). I highly recommend it!!
