I give five stars because I don’t need to have a door that look like the normal house door and absolutely don’t need TV. This place is cozy, clean and you will have your travel basic needs. Most importantly totally safe and awesome 🤙🏾 ~ they have surf guide too 🏄🏾‍♂️

The place is amazing, such a calming and awesome. The owner Bli Wayan is very friendly and kind to me. This place is super clean and I'm grateful that I can use the kitchen to cook my breakfast, lunch & dinner. Honestly, I meet a lots of new people who is stay in Salty Shakas, from strangers we are become friends now, we are also cook and had a dinner together, we're going to the beach together and also we're going to the club together. They're so amazing and I miss them so much!! And especially cutie Franky doggie is the best thing here. I celebrate my birthday here a couple months ago with them, they're also prepared a dance perform surprise for me, Oh my God it was unforgettable and amazing🥰. A lots of beautiful memories we made here & definitely I will back soon to Salty Shakas. This place like second home to me🤍

AN HONEST REVIEW. About me and the place. As an Artist specialising - speed writing. (With a huge following) Salty Shakas, has been a great inspiration. As an ex Professor, HKU. With an interest in child development. Salty Shakas has been a wonderful place to stay. My creative writing style has been perfected, and words and texts fall out of me. THANK YOU SALTY SHAKAS and the children. Staying there - that have been my inspiration! An experience. I will never forget! And they have helped me almost finish my fourth book in Speed writing as novels. Come read it. My fourth book trying to push the genre of performance poetry. Called. THE STRANGE CONFESSION OF DR C C LEMENTO. some of the kids even helped me by looking through my discard’s And notes along the way. Thanks for that kids. You are all very unique. In your own special way. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY. the bosses. Assistant. Putu. A representation of the pure light of our divine presence LORD BUDDHA Please go. It will not disappoint. Such an amazing place. We stayed there for a week It’s near the main road which is always so busy, but surprisingly the place is very calm and quiet. They don’t accept card, only cash The owner and his staff are all so kind and accommodating. The pool is clean and a perfect place to chill. The atmosphere is also very fun and sociable, we spent some days just talking with the other travelers by the pool or at the common area The room isn’t soundproof since it’s just a hut, but it’s very clean and comfortable. You can hear your neighbors talk in the common areas at night and maybe the sound of their alarms in the morning but that didn’t bother us much at all. The bathroom and showers are surprisingly cleaner than we thought. There’s a cafe near by (Amolas cafe) where you can work and stuff. I think you can ask the staff if you wanna do laundry as well for an additional fee? but we found ourselves a nice laundromat nearby too. Will definitely comeback and stay here someday 9/10 would recommend

Great value, traditional huts for a real feel of Bali. A little too far from the beach to walk, but easy trip in Grab for under 50,000Rp. Plenty of food options close by.

One of the best stays in budget at Canggu. A hut styled calm cozy stays. Would be ideal for travelers, who are planning to cut down the noise and live with low budget, this would be a great choice. Host is friendly, and they keep the whole stays so clean. Community out here is also so welcoming and international mostly. Everything is at walkable from the stay; thats the other advantage.

This place is amazing! Loved the bamboo huts. Place was clean and well thought of. Wayan the owner was sweet and a great surfing teacher! This place is great for value. So sad we had to leave.

No joke! This place is full of amazing people. Not just the manager and staff is great. Also the guests were amazing and from all over the world. You can ask for anything and they will be there for you! Go surfing with Wayan - he’s a pro teacher ;)

Fantastic guesthouse, super clean. Love Wasan and Putu. You will have a great stay and they can also arrange surf lessons, motorcycle rentals and much more. The people there are so cool. The huts have air con, a locker, they even have shampoo and soap. Loved it.

Stayed here for one night after arriving at Bali. Location is very convenient and the room is easy to find, only 20m away from the main road. The room was tidy with a comfy bed and one plug source for charging electronics. Recommended for those looking for a short and budget friendly stay.

It's a great place, I stayed in there 3 months. The people was always very friendly, it's perfect for meet new friends. All the homestay is very clean and beautiful! Is a private room of bamboo with mosquito net and AC. Shared bathroom, shared kitchen with all the necessary and a clean pool. Near of restaurant, cafes, supermarket and the beach. You can book surf lessons in here and they have scooter available for rent.

Such a wonderful comfortable place. Living in bamboo huts felt close to nature and Wayan and his staff made us feel very comfortable. These are not walled rooms so there can be some noise but it didn’t bother us. We even took surfing lessons with Wayan.

Great for the price. Very cheap per night and a fun social atmosphere, we spent a lot of time talking to other travellers by the pool. Rooms are very basic with mattress on the floor and a safe for valuables. Shared bathrooms did not have any hot water while we were there but not sure if this is always the case. Hire a moped from the hotel to get around as there isn't much in walking distance. If you're after luxury then look elsewhere but if you want a cheap bed then I would definitely recommend it.

Cute cabins with aircon. Don’t expect luxury or privacy, then you’ll love the place. The owner rented us a scooter and it was the best one we’ve had in Indonesia.

Nice place to stay. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The bamboo cabin room are comfortable and have air conditioner. The owner also offers you a scooter rental. Great value.

My stay at Salty Shakas was incredible. Wayan was a hospitable host and a great surf teacher. I met lots of people here and made some great friends. The pool is great, the rooms are comfortable, have a cupboard with a lock and air con. I spent a week here and had to book again because it was so good. Definitely recommend!

Pretty original concept, bamboo tent. The staff is committed to make your stay the best as possible. Nice swimming pool but you can hear animals during the night It's 2km from Canggu beach, 1.1km from Wanderlust Crossfit. We advice you to rent a motor bit to move around the city. We stayed there for 3 days but our room wasn't cleaned during our stay. Bathrooms are shared and they could be cleaned more frequently especially those closer to the swimming pool. A lot of empty bottles of Shower gel and shampoo left on the floor in the shower, the provided gel and shampoo containers were nasty.

I loved staying there so much. The owner is so kind and friendly. The place is so beautiful. Theres a pool that you can chill. Shared Bathroom. The room is lovely. The bed is soft. This place was worth money I spent. I will definitely be back!

Excellent! Very friendly, helpful host who is a surf instructor and good opportunities to talk with other travellers. Some distance from the beach but not too far to walk and it's possible to hire a moped if that's your thing. Simple but sweet.
