If you want to get away from the happenings in Canggu, this is a perfect place to check in. Around 5-10min motor ride from the main city. The room maybe needs a retouch, very spacious, bath tub is really nice. Pools are clean, great for an afternoon dip and book reading. Attended a few Yoga classes as well. Loved the afternoon tea provided, with a little food to go along with. Overall 4.2/5 ☺️

Really nice quiet place to stay. The rooms are real Balinese style which was great. The outside bathroom was lovely. They have two lovely swimming pools with plenty of space to relax. They also offer yoga twice a day which was a bonus. The breakfast menu was good and the rooms were really clean and the grounds beautiful. The staff were friendly and they offered twice a day a drop off into town, and scooter hire. Lovely place to stay.

Beautiful villas surrounded by nature close to Canggu, we stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed our stay a lot. We especially loved that there are two separate pools for guests to use so it doesn’t ever get crowded and they provided different kinds of sun beds. Staff were really thoughtful as they would provide us with mosquito coils outside of our room every evening! The only downsides to our experience are 1) there’s not enough hot water because you’re sharing the hot water tank with your neighbor, 2) you can hear everything from next door.

We booked this property because the social media posts looked so fancy, but the reality was quite the opposite. We got the luxury villa, which was massive and cute but riddled with mosquitos, lizards, geckos and a SNAKE! We discovered a snake in our room on our first day there and immediately left the hotel. We tried to seek help first, but the staff was super slow to respond and pretended like we are crazy to jump at the sight of a snake. In retrospect, it's not crazy that there would be snakes on the property because a smelly and muddle creek runs through it. The trees and bushes are unkempt and the outdoor tiles are slippery. I fell and sprained my ankle (near the dining hall with 5-6 staff members witnessing) on the said tiles, but the staff didn't even bother to ask me if I was okay or needed anything. They didn't even have a first aid kit. The food was TERRIBLE! I had never seen or tasted a worse green curry chicken in my life! And the pancakes smelled of rotten eggs! We couldn't eat the food and sent it back to the kitchen, but they still charged us! The staff are woefully untrained and just don't know how to talk. The most unprofessional and dangerous hotel I have ever seen! I wan't my money back!

We took villa with private pool and was nice. One of the room was not possible to close with key so was a bit annoying even if we didnt feel unsafe any second. The water of the bath was not coming out warm and the welcome basket fruit was there and minimal with no cuttlery to open it so we didnt eat it. Overall nice but to get 5 star need some work. Nice brakfast

Baby crib for 250K per night made me feel angry about that place. In all other hotels we stayed it was complementary! Also so many mosquitoes there. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

We are a travel agent who needed to make a reservation for our guest’s package. It took us half of the day to contact a number of the sales department provided by their front staff, no one pick up. We called back the reception, front staff Eka gave us an agent rate, which later on we confirmed to our guests. We then called back to make a reservation, another front staff gave us a new price which is 20usd/ night higher, while we have confirmed the first price to our guests. We then called back their sales department, still no one answer, finally we got a hold of the manager, who amitted there was a miscommunication within the front staffs and offered us a discount but the price is still higher than the original price. So at the end, they made a mistake, admitted it, but we have to face our guests to tell them the price changed, how unprofessional! To the owner of the resort, if you guys dont wish to work with agencies, please make it clear, so we would not have to pay for YOUR mistake.

My husband and I went here for our 10 year wedding anniversary in October. We stayed in one of the private villas and were completely amazed at all the amenities. The staff was so sweet and accommodating. We highly recommend the honeymoon package for just a little bit more. Massage and candlelight dinner were to die for. There is absolutely nothing like this in the United States that would be remotely within our budget. It felt like a dream!

Beautiful oasis away from the busy centre of Canggu. The service is great and they offer 3 classes of yoga a day. Which are included in the room price. Please note that breakfast is not included.

Lovely Balaniese resort for anyone sick of international style hotels. Charming callets, super comfy bed, nice gardens with two pools and wonderful staff. Kano and Sita especially looked after us all with a yoga calmness. We don't do yoga.

Private pool room- it’s is incredible. We felt like a million dollars. Our dine in breakfast was the best my partner has ever had. Airport pick up was easy & driver was great. ☕️🍰Free afternoon tea is a must & if you need anything the staff are happy to help. 🧘‍♀️we missed the yoga but it sounds great We had a miscommunication through what’s app about room but it was resolved fast. Distance- If your worried about distance to the beach use grab or Gojek app 70c - $1.40 AUS for a scooter each way. Gojek— WARNING USE APP & DONT LET THEM PICK YOU UP WITH OUT BOOKINGS. (We where scammed $20 each by Gojek drivers the first night when our phone was flat!!! 🦎☀️You can book through hotel, Agoda or bookings. If choosing online company save your search a few months out and allow updates. I would definitely recommend spending the bit extra for a pool room 🏖

We absolutely lovedddd staying here! The vibes are incredible for any nature lover, while also super luxurious at the same time. The staff just make the experience so much better and are extremely friendly & hospitable. We were honored to meet Rai, Kano & Wayan. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and answer all our non hotel related questions as well.

An absolute GEM (juwel), This resort has an X-factor. We stayed here for 10 days: First of Mr. Kano and Mr. Rai are the outmost Hosts, you could wish for on your holiday. The room, the bed, the breakfast, the room service, everything is excellent! The location as well, is fantastic! No noise from the busy streets and still close to a great lively area! This resort is special, as you feel very connected to the nature of the gorgeous Jungle garden that spreads out throughout the whole resort... and this straight from your luxury room or villa. The yoga space is stunning as well, and has a special atmosphere, due to the classic Balinese old wooden house the practise takes place. We received an absolute genuine friendly and care throughout our whole stay. Can't wait to come back here!

Cosy boutique hotel located near Canggu with rooms designed in a traditional Balinese style. Really cosy and quiet but not too far from the city.

When I say Balinese care and sense of community is unlike any other, this is what I mean. On top of having an incredible night’s stay at this beautiful resort, I experienced the staff going above and beyond. I had to work middle of the night (345AM) and asked if I could do so in the lobby. During the day, I randomly asked a staff if there will be any night guards or staff on duty. I just wanted to know there would be someone I could reach out to in case I need some assistance. The front desk staff made a brief note on his notes and I didn’t think too much of it. When I arrived at the lobby, there was a staff who was assigned to “keep me company” at the lobby so I would feel safe while I work. It was such ungodly time and their lovely staff offered me their company, an adapter and even insect repellent spray. Genuinely so touched by their kindness. In the morning, the other resort staff came over to see if my working experience was good. I cannot recommend Kalapa Resort enough! It is a place if you are looking for a quieter stay with easy access to the bars, restaurants and beaches which are about 15 mins away. Also, FREE YOGA LESSONS!

We loved our time at Kalapa! Kano and Nico at the front desk were amazing and very welcoming. We loved our room and the outdoor bathtub! It’s very quiet at night but close enough to all that Canggu had to offer. Highly recommend!

Simply magical - a luxurious jungle stay, minutes away from the center of Canggu. My Deluxe bungalow was absolutely stunning with an incredibly comfy bed, and stepping outside in the lush greenery felt so special every morning. The two pools are true havens of peace (and cool enough!) and surrounded by greenery. Excellent breakfast and dinner options. The free yoga classes are not very challenging, but a great way to relax and embrace the Balinese gratitude.

Loved the Balinese Yoga teacher — but free classes are currently only once a day at 11 am so we only caught one session on our last day since the timing cuts into any other activities. Pretty garden grounds. Loved the free water dispenser — I wish all hotels offered this — that’s worth at least half a star! Rooms are conceptually nice (modern-rustic cabins) but in practice they left me not wow-ed. The construction is not airtight — wooden plank walls and nice-looking revolving mirror door to the outdoor bathroom have gaping holes that let the mosquitoes in (and air con out). If you wanted to skip the air con you could open up a bunch of windows to let light in, but we needed the artificial cool so it always seemed dark. A few details like tables and shampoo trays that weren’t sturdy annoyed me, but if you’re up for outdoor living, you’ll be happy. The more expensive rooms have a hammock on the front porch and a private pool.

Kalapa Resort is a beautiful oasis in busy(hectic)Canggu. The accommodation is superb, staff are lovely and the service is friendly, professional, and very caring. Highly recommend you stay here. You will be impressed!

Loving the whole concept, vibe, and service; as if we were transported to a secret sanctuary while located in the heart of hustle and bustle of Canggu. We stayed for a night at the Joglo suite at the back of the property. Very spacious with impressive high ceiling, oversized round bath, and solid stone vanity. Mosquito can be a problem so please prepared with your choice of repellent/ lotion. I wish we were staying longer to enjoy the pool and organically designed landscape. A true hidden gem.

Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast & spacious villa/rooms - bathrooms could do with a renovation but cool that they’re outside! Pretty good location, 2 great pools and comp. yoga classes - if you’re a light sleeper take ear plugs as there are lots of animal / big noises due to the location! Would definitely recommend :)

Great concept, I was a big fan of the design and aesthetics while preserving heritage. Service however was average, and the staff generally looked confused most of the time. Will return when back in Canggu.

I like the garden and concept . But obviously the conception couldn’t imagine by a woman! 1/ We had a diner in a classy restaurant but i was obliged to take off my shoes until the parking and rince my feet there cause the stairs are so dangerous and slippery ! Our big villa entrance had a parking view and nuisance without any fence for our privacy. To make up or shave there was a mirror cover by a wood stick ! So just there for decoration… 2 windows without curtains left us full of mosquitos and awake very early…

We enjoyed our stay at Kalapa Resort. We had begun our trip at another villa in Canggu which was closer to the beach but wanted an experience of staying somewhere with more amenities (i.e. larger pools, restaurant, yoga) and just to experience a different part of the neighbourhood. Kalapa Resort delivered. We stayed in the private pool villa which was thoughtfully set up, clean and tidy. We absolutely loved the bathtub, waterfall shower and the traditional decor! The grounds were beautiful and tranquil even though you are still in the heart of Canggu. We made use of the pools, attended a yoga class and had dinner in the restaurant one day. Everything is easy to get to from the resort as long as you have a scooter or some motorised transport. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and assisted in booking us a driver to transport us to Uluwatu at the end of our stay. The resort is named Kalapa Boutique Resort and Yoga, however I probably wouldn't specifically go here for yoga, as there are plenty of high quality yoga shalas around in town. Kalapa was the accommodation we spent the most on per night on our trip to Bali, so I think I had higher expectations however it was well worth the stay. Would recommend.

Great for people who like forestry, natural vibe of living, far from crowds. Feels like glamorous camping with hot tube and comfy bed with aesthetic views. Plants around are super pretty. However they could have better maintained the rooms. We knew it is not a new resorts. The toilet barely flushing, outside hot tube can be covered to avoid dirts, windows need cleaning from spider web, etc. Also, food service is so so.

Reception service on arrival was good. My wife and I were actually impressed how we were informed of the services available, What there was to do etc. Overall, I would rate the staff service and professionalism 5/5. However the cleanliness, wear and tear of the toilet, shower and vanity unit was hard for me to ignore or let it go. After paying above average rates, I expected above average accommodation. The grounds are amazing. Very happy with the maintenance of that. So resort has so much potential if they renovated the room we stayed at and improved the front entrance to the resort-50m + of serious bumps and potholes. I do recommend this place based on the service we received, & the beautiful grounds. Only main fall back for me was the bathroom / toilet cleanliness and condition.

Went for the standard room and got upgraded to one of their suites. Super comfortable room to stay at. Quite and peaceful area. And super close to places around canggu area. The staff all were super friendly and helpful too. Would definitely come back here when in Canggu.

Beautiful place in a jungle setting in Canggu. Nice rooms with private bath/swim. So yes you need to love nature to stay here

One of the best villas I’ve ever stayed in Bali. The entrance of the place is quite small and the road is bumpy, however once you are inside you are welcomed with this green peaceful, serenity and calming atmosphere. All staffs are extremely helpful and will definitely make your stay enjoyable.

I wanted to thank all the Kalapa team who took care of me during my stay and made me feel at home. Thanks to Pandu, Yunita and especially Kano who was extraordinarily kind and professional. I recommend this hotel not only for its beauty and tranquility, but also for its staff. I'll be back again!

😠 This place may look vibrant because it is massive in size, but it’s the worst gym I’ve ever been to (I’ve been to over a hundred globally). I’ve been Crossfitting and lifting weights for years, and I’ve never been injured until I joined this gym. My injury is not by my own doing; I was injured becau...
