Actually this is very good hotel, nice staff, good dinner but why i give 2* is because the breakfast service. That makes me dissapointed. Is better you split the breakfast for GIT & FIT. Because no one serve me or ask me for the bfast. I just found an empty buffet. When someone asking me for bfast,it's become alacarte bfast. That's fine for me. But it's take a long time for waiting an omelett. Self service for tea or coffee. Drinking water on request. Iam understand maybe they have minimum staff but you must served the guest equaly (GIT & FIT). Bath, tea & coffee aminities (in the room) on request. Before bfast time i want give this hotel 5* but until bfast time OMG i can't say anything. Really feel dissapointed. Unfortunately & so sorry to give you 2*. May be next time when the pandemic is over, i will try to stay here again. To get better bfast experience. Best regard & thank you.

Worst hotel experience in canggu. The room was dirty, they never did the service even though we asked for that. The didn't want to give us new towels and you can't be in the rooftop drinking or eating your own food. Also when we do the check out they charged us because the bedsheets were "extra dirty". DON'T GO IT'S A SCAM

Love the set up. But, aren't the wooden chairs a bit dangerous and small..? you need to really sit still and right in the middle as it's like a plus on the bottom. So one wrong move and you wobble.. cute thou.. oh, and the staffs are super friendly. I experienced this the moment I walked in, the security was nice, the receptionist was nice too. Loved it!

Bad experience with the hotel. Purchase room with breakfast, but when check in, was told that my room was without breakfast. Receptionist attitude was not very helpful, don't care. Room air con was leaking, shower water was very small.. Not recommended.

The hotel is fine, but the restaurant gave me and my friends food poisoning. We all ate the same food the whole day apart from lunch and exactly the ones who took ā€˜the Koa D chicked sandwichā€™ ended up really sick. Donā€™t eat on the rooftop bar!

I want to give 5 star to thanks all the staff that was always very nice and helpful, but I would have given 4.5 if it was possible. The room was nice and comfy although you could feel some forniture was not in its golden era. Wobbly nightstand, loose lamps and some minor things could probably be fixed without so much effort and it would have made a good deal of a difference to me. The facilities in the hotel are good, the rooftop is cool and their services too (from booking massages to surf lessons at reasonable prices). The location in also nice. Itā€™s not my favourite part of Canggu, to be honest, but with 5min on the scooter you can be anywhere you want. On the hotel street there isnā€™t much, so the little mini-market just in front was a great plus! I donā€™t know if I was the only one struggling with it, but the proxy they use for Internet access was not getting along with my devices. Lots of log-ins to do that could be avoided. For the rest, I had a great full week there! Hope to enjoy their big pool on the rooftop in the future!!

Service is ok but the room is a bit humid and the shower water is easy to spray outside the shower room since there is only a curtain. The sound proof is quite bad also, can hear voice if people talk and walk outside the door. Location is good since itā€™s close to some cafes, shops and Finns and Altas.

All these will be 5 stars rating if the pool is long enough šŸ˜€ i knew Ive not been objective here but i just wish they build longer pool. The water in the pool was also lacking so it makes it a bit hard to swim. You know if you also a swimmer šŸ™ƒ On the other hand the room is nice, clean, neat. Bath room also clean, we got all needed ammenities available. Location is perfect if you love beach club such as Atlas or Finns, its just 3 minutes walk! And only takes 5 to 7 minutes walk to Berawa Beach, what a great way to spend vacation!

The location is very strategic, close to the popular beach clubs! however, the light is so dim, the room feels so damp- rather got fresh air at the balcony. the water in the bathroom did not drain well and keeps flooded, very small bathroom, hit the wall when having shower, I think they need a renovation on that! The staff so friendly - breakfast is fine

Nice popular hotel in a great area. Totally forgot to get some pics of the room and bathroom but can confirm a great size, very clean, good bathroom and the best smelling sheets and towels. Only one suggestion from us was the shower curtain wants to join you in the shower as soon as you turn the shower on haha, so much so you have to shower with it, we found it very funny but may annoy some. Weā€™re not even sure why it did this lol. Maybe a plastic or glass door instead. Nice balcony to chill on. The quietest aircon ever. Staff were absolutely fantastic and very helpful.

Rooms have a moldy smell, linen had blood stains, towels were not clean, floor was wet from leaking aircond. We asked for room change or refund but staff could not help.

The location is really great. It's located between Seminyak and Canggu, so it's easy to go anywhere. Finns and Atlas are right in front. If you have a hotel key, you can enter Atlas for free. There is a convenience store right in front and many good restaurants nearby. The staff are all so friendly. Hotel breakfast and coffee from coffee shops are not recommended. Indonesia is a good coffee producer, but people here don't seem to know the taste of good coffee. I donā€™t recommend rooms with a terrace on the side of the road because they are noisy. The room is clean and good value for money, but there is no hand shower and only a rain shower, which is inconvenient. This is a case where a welcome coupon is given, but it seems like it was given for a good purpose, but you get criticized even after giving it. They give you black tea, but if you're going to give a drink of this quality, it's better not to give it. I took it, took a sip, and felt quite bad. It was really so bland.

Perfect stay for solo travellers or in groups. Convenient for many reasons - walkability to beach clubs like FINN, cafes, shops, literally everywhere. Itā€™s very safe and has a nice pool view during the sunrise.

Staying at KOA over the weekend and the staff were very friendly right from the very beginning. Thereā€™s an awesome rooftop pool and bar on top, but it gets very busy in the afternoon, so sometimes could be difficult to get a spot. Drinks were also cheap and good!

Very friendly and helpfull staff, perfect locacation if you like surfing. The rooms get a good clean every day. (That's really necessary because of all the sand you bring with you from the beach)

  • 2/5 Isabelle L. 4 months ago on Google
The location is perfect and the service great, however the rooms have a big aeration problem... Even when the AC/fan is off and the window is open is it absolutely freezing inside and our floor was CONSTLANTLY wet for a reason I couldn't figure out... Best way to catch a cold :( Also, there is no way to close the doors without slamming it so we were woken up like 10 times during our sleep...

Good place for a night in Canggu, wouldnā€˜t stay more than one night though. Isnā€˜t the newest anymore and the rooms are poorly soundproofed both inside and to the street. Breakfast was okay, not great but not bad.

Nice staff, good price and the cocktails also good and good price . Staff are always friendly. Very close to Berawa beach, finns beach club , atlas and many restaurants. Always happy to stay here . šŸ¤©

I stayed here one week and I had a really nice experience. The staff is really kind, good coffee in the morning and good food if you need to eat something without going somewhere else. 5 Min on foot from Finns beach club and Atlas. Nice rooftop with a swimming pool. The room was clean with AC and fridge.

If you want to spent your day on canggu, near fins area, take this place to rest, for on budget presssss. Place is nice to rest, and near the berawa beach.

This Hotel is ideally situated a short walk from Finns as well ideally situated that you can get to Food in all directions.. Rooms are minimalist with surf theme and very clean.. roof top pool and bar is great and a big sand box area for kids to play...

The rooms are too small. The washroom is even more smaller. Expected a better place but not up to the mark. Stayed at a better hotel in Bali for the same price

  • 4/5 Santoso P. 8 months ago on Google
Room is small, but for the price cant complain, location is at the heart of Canggu, brings different vibes, just feel it for yourself.

Nice spacious room, friendly staff, close to beach clubs and beaches, walking distance to cafes around. The bathroom drainage needs improvement, but overall me and my friends are very happy staying at KOA.

I had the best time staying at KOA surfer hotel! The staff was excellent, the location is very strategic and close to beach clubs and restaurants. As for the rooms is clean, quite spacious and very comfortable! Definately a reccomended place to stay when in bali.

Really great value for money and really close to the beach! Staff are friendly and will help you out with things like taxis, then the rooftop pool and restaurant is really cool and reasonably priced!

Great room, clean and spacious. Lovely sunset at the rooftop pool! The food at the restaurant was also yummy and with a good price! Mango juice is a must to try! Cool vibes at their roof!

Nice budget hotel nearby atlas beach club. The access is easy, but not very croded areas. The hotel is clean, but amenities is a minus. Im not getting tooth brush here (?) They provide small fridge and deposit box in the room. TV cable. Parking area is available but limited esp for cars. In the rooftop there is a bar and swimming pool

  • 4/5 Tonee T. 4 years ago on Google
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was spacious with everything we needed and no insects to be seen, which is most unusual. The breakfast was lovely covering something for everybody and the setting is very pleasant, complete with background music. The only downfall was the swimming pool...it was a terrible colour which completely put us off swimming in it. To be fair, when we commented on it at reception they got into it immediately, but unfortunately it still didn't fix the problem.

TV was in disrepair. White spots on screen. Needs new mattress but still comfortable. Only 2 pillows on the bed. AC worked great. Cute hotel. The breakfast was cheap but quality of the food was just OK.

Very thin walls. You can hear everything anytime. Roof pool is nice, location is close to finns and other clubs. I wouldn't say that this hotel is something special. Depending on the price it might be overpriced for what you get. Our shower was sparying everywhere so the bathroom was always flooded.

My room was clean. Itā€™s not the most fancy equipped place but it does the job. Iā€™ve stayed at worse hotels before. The aircon was abit leaky, the shower wets the whole bathroom, thereā€™s only 2 pillows and the online pictures show a balcony but when I asked for a room with a balcony they said they had none which was frustrating but itā€™s whatever. Other than that nothing too major. The rooftop is nice and the hotel is right down the road from Finnā€™s

  • 3/5 Jesse C. 1 year ago on Google
It's a very basic room for AUD$60/night. Stayed at far better equipped and nicer hotels for the same price in Bali. Sheets on bed and towels were filthy dirty. Bed is hard as a rock and the two pillows provided were lumpy. Staff seemingly couldnā€™t care less about you. On checkout, the guy at the front desk wanted to rush us out the front door, we were there for a week and werenā€™t asked how our stay was, how everything went etc. Desk in the room is really not useable either. Wi-Fi (wifi) was not too bad could streaming on it. TV in the room was terrible with big white spots on it. There's a nightclub down the road which is really loud, it can be heard all night long so bring your earplugs - surprised other reviewers haven't mentioned this. We were in a room furthest away from the club and could still hear it. The fridge was out right next to the bed also and was buzzing all night. If youā€™re here to party, great hotel, here to actually sleep? Forget about it. Our window didn't close all the way so we had to stuff toilet paper in the cracks to help it close properly and stop mosquitos from entering the room as we were eaten alive on our first night of six. Private transport with the hotel from Legian was 25k IDR, was good. The scooter/motorbike hire is more expensive than other places (80k IDR/day) but the bike we got was fine, no issues. Across the road is a convenience store which is good for basics, but everything else like restaurants would be at least a 5-10 min walk minimum. Didn't bother trying the food option (one restaurant) at the hotel.

WORST HOTEL IN CANGGU DO NOT STAY HERE The hotel is DISGUSTING. Our first room smelt like smoke and damp so we asked to move room. The second room smelt even worse but it was 9pm so we had to stay for the night. There were geckos and cockroaches in the room running on the ceiling. The bed sheets were stained, the shower was filthy and unclean with very weak power, and the blind had mould spots We checked out after only one night and requested a refund for the night we didnā€™t stay. They said it is non refundable! This is absolutely ridiculous and I explained that we were checking out because of countless issues Only on showing the images of how bad the room was, did the supervisor say she would speak to management regarding a refund Thankfully we booked through a booking partner as without that, these scammers would never provide a refund Do not waste your money here, I would rather stay in a shack than spend another night in Koa - in fact, it was probably comparable to a shack anywayā€¦

Just so so. Basic room with basic facilities. Budget hotel. No coffee/tea/spoons or toiletries provided. The bed is old but comfortable. There is laundry service which is very helpful. They provide motorcycle on rent as well.

  • 3/5 Syntha D. 1 year ago on Google
Clean room but the bed was down and not comfortable, it should be changed. I had backpain in the morning. The breakfastā€™s serving table in the restaurant was very dirty, a lot of dust and ā€œeek cicakā€ near the food

  • 1/5 Laura B. 1 year ago on Google
Donā€™t bother staying here. Itā€™s awful, stayed one night because we couldnā€™t bare it. Itā€™s disgusting. Room smelt damp, woke up feeling damp. Stained bed sheets. Everything is dirty, worn or has a tired look in the room. Not worth money. We paid Ā£60 for two nights, we said we were happy to pay for the one night we stayed but wanted a refund for the second and they refused. We moved room and it was the same. So we just called it a day and left. Cockroaches coming out the air con, as well as geckos running across the roof, badly built building with holes all over. Wouldnā€™t waste your time or holiday here. We thought we would give it a chance because of the mixed reviews and what a regret this was. Me nor my partner was happy.

Nice and cozy placeā£ļø They have a rooftop swimming pool, which is a nice and unique concept. We can swim or sunbathe while enjoying the beach view. Not only that, all the staff here are very friendly and polite.

We stayed at Koa with friends last week for a friendā€™s wedding in Canggu - the location is strategic and the room is quite big and clean for the price that we are paying. There is a rooftop bar which was nice to hang out with after hours for drinks. Thanks and will come back here if we have things in Canggu.
