HOTEL FROM HELL. Worst hotel I’ve ever been in and I travel the world for a living. Do not go here. I repeat. Do not go here. It’s a total scam for your money. We arrived here and it’s next to a construction site. They said with a smiling face: yes it is from 08:00 to 17;00. The sounds of the construction are loud and clear (hammering and sawing all day) since the pool and rooms are only a few meters away. We wanted to cancel our booking because clearly this is not what a holiday is. They kept sending us from one person to the other without a solution just that we needed to leave and they will keep our money. I’ll post photos from the room but it’s also dirty, moist (there is mold everywhere) and next to another construction site. NEVER GO HERE PLEASE. Service is the worst. Nobody is willing to help. The manager is not available and doesn’t want to talk to us. Supervisor is also not available.

Everything was perfect! From the arrival and the kindness of the staff to welcome us, to the rooms which were very clean and very big and to the amazing view of the swimming pool. The breakfast was also very good and had different options, very much recommended and I would come back! :)

The staff have poor manners! They won't excuse before entering the room. Mind to guests privacy. They just barged into the room. Although it's for maintenance, it's not okay. They use footwear inside the room even after the cleaning and during the cleaning. They touched guests personal stuff. Even open the drawers. It's overpriced for Bali standard. With the same rate or lower, I have experienced better service. The exterior design is pretty but the interior is sore to the eyes. With all 90's and dark design, it's not a pleasant experience. It's different from what Google offered. The food is horrible! It's tasteless, some sobs, the price is not reasonable for that quality.

It’s 4 years old hotel but feels like 20 years old hotel. Floor feels sticky, dusty, smells bad when just literally entering the room, not friendly receptionist, poor maintenance, pay a bit extra and u will get better hotel, far far away, noisy due to construction in the surrounding area. If you’re a clean person, u should avoid this place!

Don't stay here!! Staff was okay and helpful with our bags so that's a positive. Room was dirty and had bugs all over, outdated furniture and linen was dingy, no privacy from bathroom door and dirty, very thin walls and balcony door making loud noises all night.

We went to Sense hotel many times, the rooms are ok, not much more, always feeling a bit crampy or not very clean, but the price it s acceptable. For now i will not suggest to go there because there are buildings just in front working everyday, even on sunday, quite noisy. And we didn t feel the staff very honest, like they forgot to give back the deposit money from the rental scooter, or we forgot our raincoat and they don t say they got it.....

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, good air conditioning. The hot water in the shower goes cold after 3 minutes - not ideal when multiple people need to shower. The pool and food is nice. Location is okay - you can walk along the beach to the main area but to get a taxi (car) back at night takes around 10 minutes. There is a short cut for bikes if that’s your choice of vehicle. We were overall satisfied with the stay until after checking out, and noticing that a staff member had stolen money from our LOCKED room a few hours before check out while we were at the pool. She had dropped our laundry into our room, and found us at the pool to advise and asked if we would like our room made up. We did not as we were checking out that afternoon, and let her know that (we had booked an extra night so we could check out later at 5:30pm). Our only guess is after she was made aware of this, decided it would be a good idea to steal part of our money in the hopes we did not count our money and notice in the next two hours before leaving. The hotel has been made aware of this, and no apology has been made. For this, I would not recommend staying at Sense Canguu Beach Hotel unless you would like things stolen from your room :)

Pros: outside building and designs are nice, location is walking distance to the beach. Cons: inside designs are old and used, need a good painting refresh. The towels and bed sheets were really dirty, we found the room also in dirty condition. Not sure it was properly cleaned before we checked in. As mentioned on other comments, cleaner will keep their shoes inside the room while cleaning which is not hygienic. The swimming pool is not cleant. The staff is not really helpful or friendly and lack efficiency. Finally Internet connection is not good, it keeps going out. Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential to be really nice, but at the moment, the service and maintenance keep it in the mediocrity.

Terrible hotel experience. I booked 2 nights and only stayed 1 night (but was charged extra fees for the second night anyway). The internet is weak, the room smelled like mildew, there's VERY loud construction right next door starting at 7am, and the front desk staff is incompetent. Will not be coming back.

Great hotel with friendly staff! Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed daily! The one problem that I think we should have been made aware of is the construction of a new hotel just next to the hotel. I feel with the daily noise etc a reduced rate should be offered. (Which it wasn't) besides that nice place and no complaints! 🙏 3 stars is due to not being made aware of the level of construction going on. If not 4/5 all the way 👍

The best part of Sense is the friendly staff. Thanks Ana : ) Location was a 5 minute walk to the beach or restaurants. Rooms were comfortable. Pool was a bit cold. Food average.

The property is decent. Special ‘Thank You’ to Mr. Yogi for his service in the restaurant during our 2 days stay. The other staff will make fun of you in local language and I found the annoying (Wayan is the name of the person I believe).

The hotel it’s self is very nice, unfortunately communication with the staff is problematic. I requested a late checkout the night before I was leaving and was told it wasn’t a problem only to be harassed by the day staff and told that I was basically lying. The other problem at the moment is that next door is a construction site and the workers start at 7am and go till quite late in the evening, this isn’t the fault of Sense Canggu but you should be aware of this as I’m aware of several people that cancelled their stay and moved to alternative accommodation as the noise is very annoying. This was a disappointing end to what was otherwise a great holiday. If you talk to reception and make plans definitely get a name.

We are currently staying at Senses and enjoying our stay. Reading some of the reviews I think people are way to harsh with their comments. Price is relative with what to expect, so for the price is excellent value. We are paying $145 AUD per night for pool access room and the balcony rooms above appear to be approx $85 AUD per night. Our room is really clean and roomy with direct access to the pool. The only criticism so far is the pool is a little green on the tiles around the edges. I mentioned this to reception last night and they really appreciated the feedback. This morning staff were out in the pool cleaning down the sides, doing tests and dosing the pool. Yes the staff should have noticed this before we did, but we are in Bali where everything is on slow mode. Yes there is construction noise going on all day, but anywhere in Canggu would be construction noise as they are establishing Canggu. It doesn’t bother us, it is what it is. The other hotels around us would all be hearing the same noise. If you want “quiet” then best to stay in a more established area of Bali or Ubud. We are at Senses for 4 nights then onto Seminyak staying at Anantara at $480 AUD per night. Yes I would expect way more at Anantara for the price, so people!!! when reading the reviews, our opinion is people are too harsh. Our experience so far is the room is great, access to the pool is great, breakfast was order off the main menu and food was very tasty. Staff are lovely but once again it’s not a 5 star expensive hotel so they are very pleasant and accomodating with what you would expect in a “boutique hotel”. Hope this helps future travellers decision to stay at Senses Hotel Canggu. We do recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE! HOTEL FROM HELL! CONSTRUCTION SITE , EVERY MORNING 7AM TILL 11PM EVERYDAY . NO REST NO RELAXATION. THEN A MAN AT THE POOL SANDING DOWN WOOD! WE ARE LEAVING TO STAY IN ANOTHER HOTEL! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. I REPEAT! THEY CANCELLED MY FRIENDS ROOM BECAUSE HER FLIGHT WAS DELAYED. LEFT HER SITTING AT RECEPTION WITH NO ROOM. AWFUL HOTEL. STAFF ARE FRIENDLY

Horrible service from check in to check out. The staff are very unfriendly and unhelpful. They cleaned the room everyday with their shoes on. Why do bother cleaning the floor? The floor still feels sticky post clean up perhaps because of humidity. Food was tasteless, don't even bother to order. The brighter side is the location is not far from the beach.

A very good hotel for the price, compared to premium hotels nearby it's definitely a winner! All amenities you need are offered, food is ok and drinks are pretty good. The swim up bar is a win, and the access to the beach is fantastic. Would recommend eating at nearby "The Flow" for fantastic drinks/ food. Rooms cleaned daily, pool towels provided and staff are amazing people! For couples, the romantic dinner here is actually quite special and was one of our fondest memories of our stay here.

More like a private villa than a 4 star hotel, the rooms are quite spacious, there is a balcony and access to a pool that is big enough for hanging out. The swimming pool is nice. Actually, the location is very strategic for solitude and far from the crowds. Unfortunately, surrounded by many very noisy construction projects, even Sundays are not closed. The TV had a problem because it was half dead, but the staff immediately replaced it, the wifi also broke down but the staff helped by installing a signal booster. The staff is very responsive. the location is in Canggu near everywhere

We stayed for 4 nights in the honeymoon suite. Quality of stay not reflective of the pricing. Construction noise was unbearable, very loud machinery right next door from 7am to 10pm every night (including weekends). Breakfast was one of the worst we came across and was not reflective ofr the price we paid. Location is nice (near beach and cafes). Do not recommend staying unless you can confirm that there is no construction. We had to avoid the hotel during working hours as the noise was horrendous. No mention of construction when we booked, very poor management from the hotel.

Lovely hotel in Canggu approx 30 min to walk to Canggu & the gorgeous beach or take a taxi. Lush pool area. Great food ate hear on a couple of evenings as well as breakfast. Such lovely staff 😊

Sense Canggu Beach Hotel was our first stop for our honeymoon in Bali. It really did not disappoint. The rooms were in perfect condition. Everything was spotless. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We did a floating breakfast, which was fantastic! Photo of the floating breakfast has been added. Pool is well maintained and the pool bar was a great surprise! Sense Canggu is located within walking distance from the beach and numerous restaurants. It is safe to walk. They also have a rooftop bar, which has a great view. I would really recommend this as part of any Bali trip in Canggu.

EVERYTHING, absolutely everything around the hotel is under construction, when I say around I mean 5 meters from your room, from 8am to 21pm you hear saws, banging and people everywhere, even closed doors, this is the least resemblance to rest during holidays I've ever had. Spectacular pool without even 1 client due to the noise and dirt of the works, it is impossible to enjoy this place nowadays, if you intend to sleep and live a few days relaxing, this is not your place.

I had booked a room for one week for my parents and for myself for 4 nights. i checked out after the first night stay. Never go there. Rooms are mouldy, power switches not working in the room, furniture, unstable. i had specifically advised them not to use artificial spray due to allergy, but they still went ahead and put artificial sprays in the rooms. vegetarian foods options were limited to two dishes and breakfast was fully rationed. you will get a plate of fruits and u cant get a refill. we had one dinner at the hotel and we had cats flying all over and the one guys kept shooing them away. The beach is also not 60m as advised on their website. don't get taken a back by their images on their website. there is construction happing right across the hotel. a dirty drain next to it flooding mosquitos. the only good thing about that place was that they refunded the left over stay in cash, which i am thankful.

Super great hotel with a lovely staff team. My girlfriend and I enjoyed this stay a lot. We took the floating breakfast and romantic dining. The dining was amazing. I recommend this hotel

Beautiful, peaceful and great location - this is perfection for me. friendly staff and Inge the Hotel Manager is so kind and accomodating. The rooms are lovely, the gardens are green and lush. Truly a little gem in best location away from the busy chaos of Canggu. My favourite place to stay always, terima kasih & see you soooon 💖✨🌺🙏🏼

Sense hotel was absolutely phenomenal we got upgraded to a Lagoon room and all I can say is WOW! Definitely opt for the Lagoon room there's no better feeling that opening your room door and walking straight in to the pool! Staff was absolutely welcoming we arrived late at night (Around midnight) and they took very good care of us and helped us get settled in! No doubt in my mind I will be visiting again! Don't hesitate to book location is great right by Echo Beach, staff is wonderful, rooms are clean (Good hot water and strong AC), definitely book the Lagoon room it's a must!

Good hotel, very good warm shower, really comfy beds. Also, in a more quite part, but with the shortcut to Canggu, the vibrant nightlife is just around the corner!

Nice hotel, but with some small issues. Positives: The room, the pool, price and location. Negatives: parts of the pool need renovating. The food in the restaurant is average. The staff don't seem to be doing much, even though there's clearly things that need to be cleaned up.

Amazing place to stay! Friendly staff the restaurant open all day with breakfast included in your booking and it’s a menu you can choose from and made fresh which was great! The room was nice and very comfy bed. Would recommend staying here!

Ok we were sceptical about this place due to some of the bad reviews, we just spent a week at the sense Beach hotel in canggu, we had hotel pickup service from the airport to the hotel very easy transit and on arrival the hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful with bags to your room,we stayed in one of the rooms on the 1st floor ( you can choose ground level rooms which are swim in/out of the pool) our room was actually very nice fantastic shower and the room was made up everyday with fresh towels and water tea coffee, the bed was comfortable and the tv had some good movie channels, room service was excellent with a good menu, surrounding gardens were very tropical and well presented, the pool was great and had a daily bar service with cocktails, the staff were great fresh towels and very helpful, our highlight was the spa with the two masseuses available just perfect, We hired a scooter which allowed easy access to the beach 1 min and to all the restaurants in the area try the Woods, honey, wasabi, warung kesia, and the sense hotel restaurant, for coffee and to die for fresh scrolls try sinamon, and breaky try the brunch club. Overall we were very happy with our stay , and was surprised that the hotel was always happy to accommodate any request. There was some power tool noise from the neighbours but wasn't really a problem. Will look at returning in 2023.

Not worth your bucks.. I believe there are better accommodations in Canggu to stay. Its near the construction site which is noisy and ruins your peace. Service is not the best and room isn't the cleanest. Do not recommend to stay here.

I was booked in for 7 nights but because it was so awful checked out after one night. Terrible welcome and shown none of facilities- except pointed to where breakfast would be. The towels, bed linen and room filthy. No hot water in my room either as boiler broken. Construction site right beside the hotel. I never got to use any of the facilities as didn’t stay long enough to find out! No manager on site - for another 4 days, so very difficult to get resolution to any issues. Only that I had booked through agent I was able to get refund.

Construction zone. You will not find peace here.. Internet is not working. Find a better place to stay. You don't need this.
