my wife and I arrived at the hotel in the evening. when we checked the sheets we must have seen 10 bed bugs on the bed. we went to the manager and told him we don't want to stay in the hotel. Then he started yelling at us and said that his hotel was the best in Bali. then he took out his phone and started throwing stuff at us and filmed it. we were shocked! then we went with him to the room because he didn't believe us. we showed him one of the bed bugs. he removed it with his hand, started laughing and said there is nothing. this hotel should be closed!

If you are a foreigner DO NOT STAY HERE. The owner openly and strongly discriminates against westerners. He says that his resort is for happy celebrations for the locals....not for quiet time for foreigners. With this, locals pay a significantly lower rate and party in the pool area all night. Of note, each room is in proximity of the pool. At 11pm, I asked when the excessive partying in the pool are would be over. He simply responded with "these are locals...they will be done whenever they want" Do not book with the North Wing Canggu Resort. You will regret it. This is a follow up to the owners response. It's a shame that you create a story to discredit my experience. I never complained when guest were loud in your restaurant. When your restaurant was completely empty and the music was obnoxiously shaking my room door, I asked the staff if they could lower the music because I was working online. If the reader of this review scrolls through the reviews for North Wing Canngu Resort, they will realize that every poor review for the property is linked to the owner. The owner is aggressive, unprofessional and unable to provide an equal quality experience. He clearly discriminates against westerners. To the contrary, the staff is polite and professional. It's unfortunate that the owner micro manages with aggression.

Not much to say. No drinking water at room nor outside of the room. U have to bring (buy) ur drinking water from outside of the hotel, or buy it at the hotel restaurant. No kettle to make hot drink. Again, u have to buy it from hotel restaurant for a hot water. I know that this is not a fancy 5 stars hotel, but when u have to pay for a drinking water, that hotel is not for me.

Great guesthouse in north Canggu ! Nice room, warm water, wifi, great pool and chill area, tasty food and western coffees at the warung. Should add a fridge in the room to be the perfect mid/long term rent.

Best budget hotel in Canggu, it has swimming pool, balcony access with very stunning view but unfortunately the entrance from the main road is too narrow and steep, vehicles with low clearance zones always get stuck. Please create ramps and please make additional access for the wheelchair.

Me and my boyfriend booked the budget room and it was located behind the facilitie, but we didnt think it would be this bad. A stain of blood in the bed, a centipede on the floor. I swam in the pool for 20 mins and my hair turned literally green, when we complained and wanted a compensation she proposed us to buy lemons to squeeze in the hair. I just had a 120 dollar hair saloon-visit two weeks prior to this before we left Sweden, so we asked to speak to the manager/owner. In the morning the owner came and it didnt take long before he started yelling at us and for example slammed his hand in the table where we had lunch in their facilitie. We became upset and called him unproffesional for starting to yell and scream at us, then one of his personal kicked at the wall behind us and a chair, he came to our table saying "YOU LEAVE NOW". The owner even said "do you wants me to call the police". We were like "What? Why would we want that?" Of course we became even more upset but said we would leave the hotel. We left the lunch after we had eaten only half before the owner came but still had to pay. After having travalled around the world and stayed at more hotels/homestays then i can recall, I have never experienced anything like this. They didnt ask for forgiveness, proposed any solution or anything except that lemons might make the hair blonde again. In addition, when we said that we would leave a terrible review did one of the girls who worked there, who had the best at english, say that they could delete the review. Honestly? Never again will we come back to this area, even.

I'll address a 1/5 review posted a couple weeks ago below, but I would say this is the best value for money in Canggu. I originally booked for a couple days and ended up staying 2.5 weeks and this would be the first place I'd stay whenever I'm back. It's about a 10 minute scooter ride from the centre of Canggu and it's dead quiet at night. I think it's the perfect location if you want to be a bit away from the crowds and either drive a scooter or take Go-jek / Grab to get to the centre or the beach. You can rent a scooter from them as well. The rooms seem brand new and were always super clean. The pool is big, and clean. The food in the restaurant was great. Most of all, the staff was fantastic. The front-desk staff, the cleaners, the owner, everyone. This is actually the first review I've posted and it's because I especially wanted to address a 1/5 review posted 2 weeks ago because I was there sitting in the restaurant when this interaction happened and what she writes is from my point of view the opposite of what happened. This person started yelling at the girls that were on shift. She was completely irate, screaming about her hair and her room, yelling at the staff to pay her 2 million rupiah because the pool discoloured her hair. The pool is clean. It's not overly chlorinated. Myself and everyone else was swimming in it daily and no one had any issues. I'm sure there's no issues like this posted in other reviews. She was also yelling at them about her room. She booked the budget room for next-to-nothing on the other side of the resort. I personally never saw those rooms, but what do you expect when you book something ultra cheap? The whole time she was yelling at the staff, they were super calm, just trying to calm her down and resolve the situation but she was just getting more and more irate. It took the owner of the resort showing up and him and basically the entire staff to finally get her to calm down. The way this person depicts the staff is just the opposite of how they really are. I saw the owner almost daily and he was so kind. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful, as was everyone else that works there. If you want a quiet, relaxing place to stay for a really good price a bit away from the centre of Canggu, this is it.

I found this resort by online. I thought it’s a godd place for good price cz at the time bali’s rate are up above. I checked in little bit late, then tell me that our requested room has beeen used for other costumer.. It’s a bit strange for a resort to gave costumer room for other costumer, but at the time it’s okay for me. I checked in with two added person. Three peson in total. At first, i checked online there are no rules about how many person able to stayed in one room. They didnt tell us upfront, but after we signed an agreement about their policy that said ‘we will obey their rules’ then they came up to the room and said that they have this management rules that there’s maximum number of person in one room so if there are extra, they will charge you for 150K. I asked for the rules but they came up with excuses. So I just made sure that there’ll be no other rules such as like that again. I read the reviews online that the owner of the resort has a temper and not good at solving problems. Instead he get angry or something. So I honestly scared and don’t want to extend. I rather search other place than stay longer here👍

Was not plesent stay. We needed to kill bugs on the bed daily. Room is worn out. Bathroom was discusting, smells like pee. At the night time the smell would reach bedroom.

Racist owner towards westerners!! We were staying here for 8 days and the owner refused to allow one of the staff to give us cutlery to eat our takeaway something the staff member was very apologetic about. Also had to change room as the room was mouldy causing paint to flake off wall and were moved into another room where they had covered the same mouldy area with wall paper. Would strongly advise against staying here if you are a westerner. It is the only time we have ever left a hotel part way through a booking as felt totally unwelcome!

It's the best place to stay get away from the crowds. There is a cafe in the resort where you can order meals. It also has a normal sized pool with lounge chairs and tables where you can relax or do some work. The rooms are clean and spacious, good enough for a big luggage and enough room to move around in. All the rooms have a balcony and come with a clothes hanger that you can use to dry clothes. The view of the mini rice terraces from the balcony was what we enjoyed most in the mornings. It's a bit hard to spot since you need to go down a small alleyway that is wide enough for a car or scooter to go in. There is only a signboard by the entrance to the alleyway showing the name of the resort. All in all very good place to stay in at a budget price. There are no nearby attractions, convenience stores or warungs. The cheapest way to get around is using a scooter but we were able to book a car through Go-Jek (much cheaper than grab).

Really nice and brand new hotel. The swimming pool is great. Rooms are clean and cheap. The staff is friendly but their english is limited. Breakfast included in the price is quite light (only eggs and bread) but you can add extra. They need to have better trained staff as you can tell it is not their primary job. They forgot fork and knife, napkins at the restaurant. They forgot your drinks. Etc. Nothing important though. Overall the place is great. I hope it would remain well maintained

I booked a room for 2 weeks some weeks ago, when I arrived to the place they told me sorry we are fully booked even when I already booked a room. Please be careful booking this place because they continue renting your room

First time staying at North Wing Canggu Resort, first impression we got, the staff are extraordinary friendly and even brought our things to the room. The room is also clean and all facilities function normally. If you're hungry, you can order directly to the restaurant at a very affordable price with a variety of menus and delicious taste.

Nice place, nice food ( especially Nasi Goreng ) Good service. And, only 5 menit to get to the Canggu beach.. If you are a surfer, this is the great place for you.

Really nice stuff, the manager it's great, low English but definitely they try their best to help. They need to improve few things, the shower-toilet it's always wet so the smells it's quiet strong they should use something on the pipes to remove all the dirty smells.They only clean your room if you ask so don't be upset just ask they to clean. The most annoying thing is kids screaming on the swimming pool at 7am, they should say something because maybe the rest of the guests don't want to wake up at 7am.... You can rent your motorbike there and also the restaurant have nice food with reasonable price.

We spend several months in here North Wing Canggu Resort. Resort's location is near of everything and at the same time it is very calm area just middle of rice fields and the views are beautiful! The owner and stuff are really friendly and aware, always helping and smiling. It feels like another home now. Big thanks for the stuff and the owner. I recommend this place!

Stayed here to be close to our next day appointment. Low budget hotel with ok rooms, pool and restaurant is nice but didn’t try the food.

North Wing is a lovely resort and has the friendliest staff. From reception to housekeeping to those that take care of the grounds, they take care of you and it feels like family. I love that there is restaurant and laundry service on site. And the food is delicious!! Their Nasi Goreng with Sambal has become my all time favorite. The rooms are clean and comfortable...comfy beds, desk, TV, indoor bathroom, patio that overlooks the rice field where you can watch the sun set. Beautiful koi pond and pool, with recently updated chairs and tables. A meditation pagoda for relaxing, massage, or meditation. I like that North Wing is close enough to all the action of Canggu but away from all the busyness and noise...I enjoy my scooter rides to the beach (about 12 min). I stayed at North Wing for over 2 months and can’t wait to return.

Perfect host. I arrived late at the airport. They called me and confirmed my arrival. They picked me up at the airport. When I arrived at the resort, the kitchen was already closed. Still they asked me if I was hungry and prepared what I wanted from the menu. The location is clean, beautiful and quite. I had a room with perfect view. The room was clean and everything that was needed was present. Towels, shampoo, body wash, toothbrush. You can rent a scooter at the front desk. They staff is very helpful and kind. The owner always comes to greet you personally on arrival. Anything you need is provided by them. Information, advice etc. I stayed 3 weeks which was perfect, the price was good. The facilities like the swimming pool and garden are perfect. (If you wake up early, you can go to the back and walk trough the rice fields) This will be the location for me in canggu on arrival. We had our 45 anneversary over there last october 2019. We had a great time lovely people and the food was great. We certainly planned to come back one day. The rooms are very clean. Hope you all survive the crisis.

I spent 3 months here and zero problem with the staff. Location was quiet but still close to the beach and restaurants etc. Rooms were nice with an amazing rice field view! The staff was always smiley, friendly and helpful. The owner was sweet and welcoming.

Nice place with comfortable room, restaurant, pool and surrounds, good value for money, humble and helful staff.
