In 2019, we booked a stay at Jays Villas for 2020 through booking.com. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 and government restrictions we were unable to travel. Our booking was refundable until the day before travel and we emailed them to cancel. They asked if we could please try a credit until the end of 2020 first to see how long the restrictions would be in place, and because we love Bali so much we agreed to try that first. At the end of 2020 the restrictions were still in place, with no end in sight so we emailed again and asked for a refund, at which stage we were told they would not give us a refund and they changed our booking date on booking.com to look like we had already traveled, therefore forfeiting our opportunity to cancel and obtain our refund through the app. We have now lost $700AUD and Jays Villas are refusing to refund our money. Very disappointed in the customer service and definitely would not recommend staying at a place that steals customers money through deceit.

Looking at old comments we booked but seems recent comments state the truth. The property is old but not managed timely due to which swimming pool seems dirty, slow working AC, useless showers, broken tap for battub, spots on curtains, ants on bed. The hotel staff tries to help in ways but seems like coming to a place out of comfort while we pay for vacay comfort. Restaurant, main pool are unoperational but the ambience looks old. While the images on website are pretty new. It’s a trap here.

The place is really nice and the honeymoon package includes like a candlelight dinner. Only down side, a little rigid, once u book the massage timing unable to change and also when asking them for recommendation for any food they will tell u to eat from their restaurant.

Pros: - service was great - food was tasty - clean room Cons: - the drink could use more sugar - the pool was clean when me and my wife arrived, but they didn't cleaned it throughout the rest of our stay We ordered floating breakfast, which we loved it (especially the bread!). Will come again.

Quiet place to stay, perfect for honeymoon couple. A little bit far from city center. For those who wants a staycation, should stay at this villa. A little old, insect at night, so so food, but still love this place.

It's great to stay there. Nice location outside city. Service is good. Best place for personal pool in villla.

The state of the private villas is very poor (rusty tap, cracked floor, broken doors, stained toilet seat, stained curtains, stained mattress). The state of the entire hotel is even worse (green water in the main pool, broken sun deck, broken pathways, dog poo, bags of cement at every corner). We were supposed to stay four nights but checked out after the second one and were not refunded our money of course. The private villas are infested with mosquitoes. The breakfast is really poor and not even included in the price. Stray animals hanging around the villa. The general vibe makes you feel like you are staying in an abandoned construction site. The only pros are the staff trying their best to hide the misery and the quietness of the location. The worse is probably that we paid three times the price we paid in 2019…

Don’t ever book this place , their service is pathetic , they don’t give any breakfast just say you can order one thing,rooms are dirty, management cooperation is zero , if you want to call hotel reception you have to walk and call no landline working

This place is spam , there is no hot water in room to bath ,they refuse to fix geyser or change the villa , they even dont provide breakfast ,just one sandwich and if you ask for second they say its chargeable , people are unprofessional there ,limited staff service so poor.

Never coming back to this villa , the pool was disgusting and they kept telling me that the pool will be clean the next day and it wasn’t and they told me this four days straight that the pool will be clean but never was. The service is very poor , they don’t clean your room everyday. Do not come to this villa The experience is very poor and waste of money.

Very bad experience with this villa very dirty pool every thing is so dirty there is dirty curtains dirty bed sheets broken taps broken floors not good at all don’t waste your money here breakfast not up to the mark quantity and quality both not good. And the staff was like they don’t know anything

Very nice overall. Nice to see a villa look like it's photos for a change. However some security issues, our villa didn't have a room that we could put our things in and lock securely. No safe. Edit - Reading the bad reviews here I agree that our pool water was not clean, and parts of the outside do still look like it's under construction (it's a shame the main shared pool is empty) but the villa we had (villa 1) was in good condition inside, everything was clean, no stains, and our purpose was to relax inside, so we didn't care so much.
