WORST stay at Bali! Pros: - Located close to beach 10min walk but neighborhood becomes dark and scary when night comes. Cons: - Cold shower which is not mentioned in the listing, the lady in reception told me that the hot water is only in first and second floor not the third one, how can I know that before I book if they don't mention it?! - Dirty room, stained bed and smelly bathroom - Very bad internet, almost non existent - Furniture in bad condition and rusted - No kettle or hot water for tea or coffee, they wanted to charge me 10k just for a cup of hot water (without tea) while I had a big cup of tea at 2k in a warung. - No quiet moment at all, there is music from the hotel's restaurant and we can also hear some music until late night from a close nightclub, and also the annoying noise from the AC's outside.

Kubu Hotel is really near to Kuta Beach. The price is worth with Backpacker. They just have 3rd Floor, 1st floor is Terrace, 2nd and 3rd is Balcony, the centre of hotel is Pool, so anywhere you belong, open the window from terrace/balcony you will see the pool. The most area are clean, friendly staff, and if you driving car, take care because there only one way for a car.

I visited the salon at the front of Kubu Hotel. I had several treatments. Reflexology Foot Massage with Maria. This was excellent, so good for tired feet. I had a full body massage for one hour with Rika. Rika is an excellent massage therapist. She takes pride in her services. Ambience is relaxing and welcoming. I also enjoyed the Hot Stone Massage. This treatment takes 2 hours. I highly recommend you try the salon at Hotel Kubu.

We spent 5 nights here. Got the 3rd floor. The room is simple - no hair dryer, no clothes hangers, no closet, no stuffs for personal hygine, light is dim. The outside of hotel looks good, but the inside is quite old, need more renovation. When it's rain, the bathroom smells bad (the area around kuta too). The hotel offers scooter for rent with very affortdable price (75,000 IDR/day). The hotel had a pool and laundry service. Quiet at night, the location is good to explore around by walking. However, It's quite hot around 11am to 4pm, recommend walking before or after these time. The street is slippery after the drain. Overall, the hotel is great for budgeting travelers.

I often have stayed at this hotel but recently decided to book 2 rooms and take my friend there but the experience was horrible. I went to check in after a long day of travelling and the staff was rude and unresponsive and then couldn't find our booking and told us wait half an hour for someone to come and give us the key! There was loud music late into the night from the coffee shop, the AC in the room was quite ineffective, the pool was completely green and by day the place turned into a construction site with constant banging and drilling while the hotel received a demolition and make-over, seriously, how can they run a hotel like this? It was embarrassing that I introduced my friend to Bali with this awful experience.

Small balcony rooms overlooking an average size 4 foot deep pool. 15 mins walk to beach. I was scratching myself a bit in bed. No breakfast. Tours & Buses booked here.

The location is strategic, near Kuta beach and Legian. You only need to remember the little street so not lost. The room is spacious but the furniture, all made by metal stick. No wardrobe, chair, etc. The service is good. I love the gazebo at the parking lot, and it available for barbeque party. The swimming pool is pretty good also

Truth be told, this is so far my bad experience I have had traveling and staying in different hotels. My room was very dirty, there were no towels, no AC, the were molds in the room, I mean I wonder why they still in business, don’t get me wrong the first and second floor look ok but the 3rd floor is bad, the front desk was drinking with a group of teens, I mean; I just need to end my review here cus I can write my bad experiences for like a whole day, if you trying to stay in this hotel, I will recommend staying in the first floor.

The Kubu Zoo would be more appropriate, considering that guests are apparently encouraged to travel with their fighting roosters, which start screaming under everyone windows around 4am... After mentioning it to the staff, and being labelled the guy who doesn't like roosters/animals, I decided it was useless to mention that 4 or 5 neighborhood kids jumping and screaming into the pool for hours several times a day may not be the most friendly environment for us paying customers. Nor am I the guy who loves groups of loud drunk people having fun by the pool until the middle of the night. The same ones riding bikes you can hear from 2km away... Complete lack of management and sense of hospitality, highly not recommended.

The door knob on my room is broken upon arrival(so the safety is questionable). The wall cracked, the bathroom smelled.the location is in an alley. But the price is very cheap.is it worth it? For me no. You have to judge it for yourself.

the A/C rooms on the first and 2nd floor are great but the fan rooms on the third nehh... the morning sun will definitely wake u up at 7am with a glass and just a fairly thin curtain covering the room.

Located just near the Legian Street. Love the ambience. The rooms are clean. The shower should have been improved.

Room is clean and ambience is awesome. But I would recommend to get atleast the room with AC, spent 160k on this and pretty worth it. Bike rental also available via reception request.

The Kubu Hotel isn't that bad when it comes about price and vibes. The owner and front officer are nice and friendly. It has a swimming pool which I've never jumped into since I am too excited went to Kuta beach 🀭 However, of you are a lazy person, it takes 10 - 15 to reach the beach by walking. You can rent bike for 60.000 IDR if you want to. Well, there is something that I really concern about The Kubu Hotel: 1. The water smells funky for some reason and it makes the toilet smell bad when we left it. The owner is very helpful and fast response. Just inform them. No need to worry.

The price is very cheap considering the location is very close to Kuta Beach etc. But you must bring your own iron and extra plug for charging your gadgets, since there's only one plug in the room.

Nice place, small pool. Centrally located and near to the tourist strip and beach. Room clean but from the bathroom comes a really bad smell, maybe from the sink or the ventilation system. Also you can hear anybody around your room, same like they are in your room. The girl staff from the reception desk waked me up in the morning to telling me that I need to change my room due to they marked it for another customer at that day. I said, you should change the room on your system or paper and not waking a sleeping guest up for no reason. It's none of my business how they organize their rooms. But if I'm booked the room already, they should let my peace in sleep. Take care in evening at the streets around the hotel. Many thieves and robbers. I informed the girl that woke me up about that and she said, that's well known in Kuta area. Just be careful at night.
