Was expecting more, to be honest. Having been in beaches all around Europe, south east Asia, and Brazil, Kuta beach was a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible, but there are a few things I did not like - and maybe it's just me because I've so many other beaches to compare to. But first, the beach is dirty. I mean there is not just things like logs, thrown away coconuts - i.e., biodegradable/natural stuff - but also just plain rubbish, all over the place. Second, the water is filled with those too, especially close to the shore. I was tangling my feet on plastic, bags, etc, constantly. Third, there's a large amount of people taking surfing lessons all over this beach - there aren't designated areas for that - so I was always looking over my shoulder to make sure there wasn't some wannabe surfer about to run over me and my wife. Those two last items really put me off swimming here. I was back in Kuta the following day, but decided to not get nowhere near the water. Might be ok for some, but I personally did not find it this a good beach at all for swimming - might be better for surfing though as there are quite good waves here, and they're relatively close to the shore, so it's easier for beginners. I did at least stay for the sunset, and at least that was satisfying. It is beautiful to watch. You can grab a sit in any of the "bars" on the beach itself, get a drink and wait for the sunset to get some gorgeous shots. But overall, this is just not the beach for me.

It's a calm and beautiful beach. Nice long beach, very good for surfers not so much for swimmers. The waves are good and is not so deep. Morning walk on the sidewalk is good experience for me.

1 missing star for the non-stop annoying sellers. 1 missing star for not having enough shade for visitors without purchasing something to sit under a beach umbrella. It's nice before the stores open along the beach, which is before 8AM, you will get a quiet time also it will be less hot.

Nice long beach, very good for surfers not so much for swimmers (we were here in September). The bad thing is, as soon as you sit down somewhere you will be swarmed by people who want to sell you all sorts of things or massage you. It spoils it, really.

Beautiful place. A long row of colorful chairs and umbrellas, classy resorts and thrilling waves make u crazy. Lots of stalls where you can relax and enjoy the sunset. Good for taking surfing lessons, especially for children. Plenty of shops and restaurants across the street. During rainy season, it is flooded with trash, mainly sent from Java according to some locals which is very unfortunate. Take them a few months to clear up the trash. Better wear sandals in case you step on sharp objects.

Kuta Beach in Bali is a popular and vibrant destination that attracts tourists from all over the world. It is known for its lively atmosphere, beautiful sunsets, and a wide range of activities that cater to different interests. One of the main highlights of Kuta Beach is its long stretch of golden sand, which provides ample space for sunbathing, playing beach sports, or simply taking a leisurely stroll along the shore. The beach is well-maintained and offers a relaxed ambiance where visitors can enjoy the sun and surf. Kuta Beach is particularly famous among surfers, as it offers excellent waves for both beginners and experienced surfers. There are numerous surf schools and board rental shops available along the beach, making it an ideal spot for those who want to learn or improve their surfing skills.

Just typical beach in Bali There were already too many vendors there, which makes this place not suitable for people who want to find peaceful and relaxing time But it's good place to surf there

One of very popular beach in the south of Bali area. Lot of people spending n killing the time during sunset here. Free to entry n enjoy this beach. Except if you bring own transportation. Parking available for lots of motorcycle, n for car there's parking lot in the nearly end of the road along the beach. Facility such as toilet available here. There's some food street hawkers selling here. Near the beach alot of restaurants, luxury hotels and minimarkets, and off course there's one of biggest mall in Bali (Beachwalk mall) too with plenty of famous brands and international food restaurant. During the pandemic, situation more calm, cleaner, n comfortable for tourists to hanging around this area instead before pandemic that was always crowded, dirtier, n become busy spot beach everyday.

plastic everywhere😭 if the people really care, they would take all the garbage out from the sand. Never will i ever try to swim in this beach. Vendors are everywhere offering expensive drinks and food. Bars and restaurants on the beach side together with the surfing board rentals which cause this beach to be ruined. Sand shores get dark and floating plastics are everywhere. If the government really cares about this beach, they have to do something to prevent and conserve the natural beauty of this beach.

There is no shower in the changing rooms, only open shower, as a result, my body was in the sand👹👺👹👺🤬🤬🤬🤬. The price tag for tourists is raised, you have to bargain. It's annoying. There is a lot of plastic garbage near the shore, no one cleans it up. I will look for another place to surf. ☆I put a star for the mirror sand and a star for the diligent surf instructors. ▪︎ I recommend the following prices for bargaining: surfing with boards for two person and an instructor for 2 hours 250-300 thousand rupees; coconut 30t.rupees, water 10t.rupees, shower + toilet + dressing room 5t.rupees (better 3t.r. or free, you don’t want to pay for this at all, it’s not too clean inside).

Overrated beach with lots of vendors haggling you at all times. If you are looking to take in the views and a bit of quietness then avoid the main beach. It's very busy and vendors will keep hassling you.

Always cherish every moment when we arrived in Bali, straight to Kuta beach wherever we stay in Bali, yes we really concerned about the cleanliness of the beach, hope there will be an act on this maybe the government should initiate the beach-cleaning program immediately to save this beautiful beach

To be fair we visited on low season and wet season (January) but this beach was a mess during our short weekend visit. Piles of rubbish along the shore, very dirty altogether and smells bad. Not in a million years I'd dare to touch the water. Maybe it's good for surfers due to the huge waves but definetely not good if you're looking for good beach vibes. I'd be happy to know that it's different on other seasons.

I love Kuta Beach because I can walk for long time alongside the beach. I love to walking. Kuta beach's sunset is soooooo beautiful. However it is very hard to see when raining season. From December to January. I was so sad during my 10 days holiday, I only see Sunset one time on January. Most of day raining. It would be best time during March to September to visit there. Also raining season, kuta beach has lots of rubbish. There are lots of beach clubs too. You can enjoy to sit there to see the sea.

Busy, but worth a visit. Surf usually smaller with a south swell. Beach is nice for a swim with lots going on. Hawkers selling hats, glasses, bracelets, kites, you name it. Small areas with beach chairs to relax and have a drink. Bintangs $3. Had a great massage, $15 / hr.

An Icon for Bali. Kuta Beach is now changing more beautifully. Food stalls are neatly arranged and the sidewalks inside the fence is also neatly arranged. Coming at 24 April afternoon with really beautiful sunset 🌅 Never ending story 👌👍

This is just my personal opinion, all was good when visiting Kuta beach., tho even now the gov't have improved with so many entertainment such as The Big statue, and some iconic food stalls. But I feel a bit unsatisfied and is it really that covenience when there are shops in the Beach area??

Famous beach in Bali , came here to enjoy the water and to see the sunset even though we didn't see it due to cloudy weather. You can rent the beach chair or simply bring your own carpet or cloth to sit. There are many vendors to offer you massage, souvenirs, braiding the hair, and making tattoo. You can buy beverages or food from the small shop around there. For visiting the Kuta beach it's free.

One of the most famous beach in Bali. Very easy to reach from the city center. Located next to Legian street in Seminyak Area, the heart of Bali's nightlife. You can see the sunset here. There's a lot of cafes offering you a bean bag in the beach to enjoy the sunset.

The beach is a lot quieter than before the pandemic. Inside, there are seats that belongs to the vendors. If you want to have a seat, you need to buy something from the vendors. In addition, there's some projects going on at the beach. There are heavy trucks going around. The projects will go on until December 2022.
