Not a party hostel but still has a good buzz with lots of cool travelers to meet and socialise with. Very helpful friendly staff, really cool location and nice clean hostel. Would stay again..!

Couldn’t recommend this hostel more! The hostel itself has such a peaceful atmosphere but also has great communal spaces for socialising! They were also super helpful with booking my Mt Batur hike, bus & ferry transfer to Gili T etc. As a solo traveller I met wonderful people here, and thanks to Waya and his lovely family I had my favourite stay in Bali!

Great hostel, affordable, friendly staff. Affordable trips offered. Out of the hustle of town but near to restaurants & Ubud Yoga Centre. Good Wi-Fi. Free breakfast but a bit small/poor quality. Decent pool.

Lovely place to stay, and the price was decent. The staff are all lovely, and Wayan was very helpful and gave us plenty of advice on different ways to do activities and prices etc so we could figure out the best way for us to see the sights. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there are good places for everyone to sit and chat. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfy with a curtain on each bed for privacy. There was also a lockable section under the beds and an ensuite bathroom. The free WiFi was pretty stable and fast enough for most things (never tried streaming though), and the free breakfast was pretty basic was nice. Overall there isn't really a lot I could say as a complaint.

Stayed here for 5 days and it was perfect! The loveliest family running it, everyone was super helpful and friendly. The pool was amazing, the air con great and super easy to book activities!

A very nice hostel that offers everything you’d need, including a convenient free breakfast, but the hospitality was what really stood out. The family that run the hostel were very kind and friendly, and would help you with whatever was needed. Bike rental from the hostel is 75k and there is no deposit required which made the whole thing hassle free. I would definitely stay here again.

Lagas was the best family-run hostel. Wayan was the happiest host. They couldn’t do more for you. The beds were made every day. It was clean and the rooms were cold every morning, evening and throughout the night. The pool was lovely and we made use of it every day. We walked to the centre so it’s walkable or a 5 minute scooter ride. The omelette for breakfast got us ready for the day and was delicious - you could have bread and spreads as well. You could help yourself to water, tea and coffee, and use their kitchen at any time. They had cheap laundry and scooter services, and you could order any activities through them.

The family running the hostel were all lovely, it had a really nice peaceful, homey atmosphere. Wayan the owner is great to chat with if you have any questions about Ubud. There’s places to sit and socialize as well as places to sit and have quiet time. The pool was a plus. The room was all good with A/C, I’ve definitely slept in comfier hostel beds but that’s not a thing to be too picky with, I still had a good sleep. Overall I’d recommend staying here :)

I stayed here for 6 days in a row. Loved the space, Ashtanga yoga class, free breakfast and coffee. I was also invited for local lunch by the owner's wife. Very grateful for the kind hospitality and I had a peaceful and lovely vacation. Thanks Wayan, Nina, Nana and family and not forgetting Logan too ! :) <3 Will come back again! :)

Awesome hostel, very good value for money & clean access to services provided. Make sure to book activities through Lagas during your stay, the owner offers very good local prices! For example we booked ATVs in Ubud through the hostel it was IDR 500,000 cheaper! Thanks to the Lagas team, will definitely revisit if ever back in Ubud. :)

My partner and I stayed in early December and we extended our stay because we felt so comfortable here. Our room was extremely clean, bright and spacious as were the communal areas. The wifi and aircon was fantastic too! The best thing about Lagas is definitely the owner ‘Wayan’ and his lovely family! Wayan was incredibly welcoming and made huge effort to ensure we had the best experience in Ubud. We were taken on a free walking tour through the rice fields and then spent a great day touring Ubud’s ‘best bits’ with Wayan and his friend - thank you all!

We had a great stay at Lagas Hostel! It is run by a small family, who are all incredibly kind and helpful! The accommodation is clean and beautiful, and is in a great location to get to some amazing tourist attractions.

I arrived at the Lagas hostel because i didn’t have a stay in Ubud yet. I ended up staying here my entire week in Ubud. Very nice people who work here. The owner, Wayan, is very help-full with his tips and has a very welcoming attitude . The rest of the staff/family - because it partly is and feels like one big family - is also very friendly and always providing good service. Beds get tidied daily and everything is super clean. Located close to the center and monkey forest but once in the hostel it definitely doesn’t feel crowded. Overal, had a very pleasant stay here.

Amazing hostel with great host. The rooms are big, light, and have there own huge bathroom. The host takes guests on walks through the fields and to free coffee tastings. Extended our 1 night stay to 4 night because we enjoyed staying here so much. It’s very peaceful with nice sitting areas.

an extremely warm and welcoming hostel and family and you can’t beat the price. The rooms are clean and the a/c is on full blast. They clean your room everyday and fold your clothes that are out which shocked me the first day but it’s been nice to come back to a clean space. The breakfast was the perfect size for me just to get started and the wifi is quick. There’s lots of good food around the area!

Loved it! The pool was amazing to swim in. The restaurant is very cheap with good local food and good size portions. The family and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and the room has air-con at night. It is out side of town but there is a path past the monkey Forrest that gets you there in 5 mins with a bike. Includes breakfast of fruit and 3 small pancakes which was really nice.

It’s just the full package of loveliness you get there, the owner and the stuff are super friendly, helpful and kind. You feel like home there and they have a nice pool as well as multiple seating areas as well as free breakfast and water during the day. The bedroom was super nice and clean as well as the bathroom. I first thought it’s a bit to far out (30min Walk to Centre) of the centre of ubud but there are still lots of restaurants and it’s more quiet. Would always come back!

Best of both home stay and a hostel stay! The hosts are really warm people and super helpful! The rooms are really clean and spacious, the ambience of the hostel calm and homely. Go for it!

Wayan runs the place and is so friendly and nice will help you with all your trips and any issues you have with your stay/room. There’s a good chill spot upstairs with beanbags and bikes were only 70,000 to rent per day.
