Not a surf or yoga retreat anymore. Changed ownership 2 years ago and basically a budget hotel now. Staff are nice, but the place is run incredibly lean (cafe staff do a lot). Nothing wrong with the place, I just expected a retreat based on a friends recommendation. For the price and comparable quality I could have got something better. Booked four days and left after 1.

I can't recommend this place enough for your accommodation in Canggu. Location is superb, close to a lot of restaurants and cafes and about 30 minutes walk to Batu Bolong beach. The entire property is beautiful, serene and lush. They have two swimming pools for guests to cool down during the day. Room is spotlessly clean and cute. Bed is quite comfortable. There's also a restaurant serving good vegetarian foods and great coffee in the same location. Staff both in the restaurant and accommodation are friendly and helpful. They also have a daily yoga classes. I joined three of the classes last week, guided by Ms. Dewi (Prasanthi) and it was awesome!

Avoid this hotel! Bathroom was filthy, toilet seat was broken, the worst part was the blood stains on the sheets (how can you reuse this! Health hazard), and the room smelled like sewage (also mosquitos in the room and mosquito net had holes). Watch out, the hotel will claim I'm leaving this review because of a late checkout penalty (half the room rate!), but that was just rubbing salt on an already horrible experience. I lost my wallet, and had my stuff already packed, but they still charged me half the room rate for a 2 hour late checkout (and they had plenty of rooms available). But this review is ONLY based on the disgusting state of the rooms.

We stayed for 8 nights in total in the Chillhouse and we loved it!! The rooms are really cute with a lot of space. Also the drinks and the food are very delicious and the service is super funny and friendly 😋☺️ We really enjoyed our stay 🌞🌴

Lovely stay at the Chillhouse!! Very quiet and chilling, in the middle of busy canggu area. Solo traveler but the rooms are spacious, great for couples and friends as and just so comfy! Only Planned to stay a night but kept extending until my last day in Bali! ❤️👍

If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place to live during your stay in Canggu, I cannot recommend the chill house enough. In the last two years, I have stayed at many different villa complexes, guest houses, apartments etc, but, the comfort of this place is unmatchable. The rooms are comfortable, there are two pools, great food, amazing coffee and hospitality is absolutely wonderful!! Each and every person at the establishment is a joy- not only are they courteous with a big smile on their face, they also accommodate you with all your requests. If it’s your first time in bali, this place is it! Oh, forgot about the wonderful Yoga Shala at the establishment, free for all guests to use!

I spent my weekend here with my son, and we had the best day ever on my first trip to Bali. Their family room were clean and so homie. My son enjoyed most of his time at the pool while I was doing my morning yoga. Thank you, The Chillhouse, for the kind and beautiful service! definitely be back soon!

I really enjoyed my stay at Chill House. The staff is incredibly friendly. The included breakfast is fantastic. The coffee shop and dining area make for a great place to get some work done. The rooms are quite nice and secluded. I also really enjoyed lounging by the pool or the front porch of my room. Great place to stay. I highly recommend!

It is the second time I stayed in Chillhouse and whilst I love the overall atmosphere I do feel the place could do with significant renovation and cleaning. Although they raised the prices they did not take care of the overall feel of the place, and unfortunately I really felt the difference compared to last year. The place is worn out and needs improvement on this end to match the new prices they set

Dropped by for breakfast by chance and enjoyed a decent meal at very modest prices. The staff was very warm and friendly and the setting was peaceful. Decided to try their massage which was also very reasonably priced and had a very good massage, much better than one of the commercial places i tried a few days before. Even though the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, the masseuse was really good and made me feel at ease

i spent a week here and i enjoyed every bit of my stay. The internet is fast, the rooms are clean and quiet, the food is great and above all every member of the staff that i've met are super friendly and helpful.

Overpriced for what it offers + breakfast + the garden + some employees - no towel change even I asked for it - asked for additional towel and they did not bring one, like they are making economy 😅 - asked for money before even seeing the room, not typical in Bali - room smell like mold

This is a disgusting hotel. Old, dirty. I asked for my money back, which I paid for the next week, because I got into an emergency situation. My friend broke her leg in uluwatu and I had to go there to help her. They never returned the money to me !!!! For the whole week that I didn't live there!!!!!! This is how much you need to be animals to do this!!! Your hotel will burn out on your greed!!!

Super friendly and attentive staff and the location cannot be beat. You're off the main road and in a quiet pocket but getting to Batu Bolong is 20 seconds on a scooter.

Very beautiful and calm area with 2 swimming pools, yoga chalet, nice garden, cafe and comfy rooms! Good wi-fi connection, a lot of common spaces for work and chill. Yoga classes and massage available (the goooood one!). And just 5-7 mins to the ocean by bike. The best place I ever stayed in Canggu, only recommend! Even for a long stay.

Loved my stay here! Initially, wasn’t sure about the name and overlooked it as I thought it was a hostel with shared rooms- it’s not and it’s definitely worth considering! Especially if you are a solo traveller as I was, it seems to be a hot spot as I met and chatted with multiple guests that were of similar age (30 something year olds). The restaurant staff make the place, super friendly and accomodating, welcoming and keen to chat. Special shout out to Irma (hopefully I didn’t misspell that) who treated me so kindly and remembered my ordered, Thankyou! And to the rest of the team at the restaurant- you are all so welcoming and attentive to guests, it really does make this place and your coffee is beautiful! Walls are thin, not much of an issue for me. Just be mindful about taking phone calls during the evening so you don’t disturb others, that’s all.

I came here for breakfast and yoga and LOVED IT!! This place is so cute! The service was amazing and the pancakes really blew my mind!! The yoga was very beautiful with a really nice sound bath at the end. Thank you Chillhouse! 🙏

The location, the staff and the food were amazing!!!! Special mention to Joe for being so welcoming, friendly and helpful - we loved interacting with him! Also, do try their coffee and their eggs Benedict with bacon - delicious!!!! Unfortunately, we had to minus two stars because of: 1) how stuffy the room felt - AC never cooled properly so it was uncomfortable. 2) the paper thin walls - we could hear the neighbours sneezing, using the washroom, talking and the worst was the dogs barking outside. We were unable to sleep peacefully and were woken up every day due to some sound or the other!
