My
name
is
Derek
Roy
Evans,
and
I
came
to
this
hospital
using
my
public
healthcare
BPJS
card...
expecting
a
whole
day
of
run-around
delay,
and
even
brought
snacks
to
sustain
me
for
5
hours.
My
problem
is
very
specific,
in
the
private
department,
so
i
was
scheduled
to
see
a
urologist.
When
I
arrived,
reception
told
me
the
urologist
has
already
left
for
the
day,
and
can
i
come
back
in
48
hours,
and
I
think
"yes,
of
course...
this
is
what
I
expected.
To
drive
30
minutes
for
absolutely
nothing
🤦♂️"
So
I
laugh
to
keep
from
crying,
and
I
look
away
for
5
seconds,
while
I
think
of
my
situation,
and
I
decide
to
use
my
words
like
a
big
boy.
I
explain
my
private,
embarrassing
emergency
to
the
man
at
reception,
who
has
English
10x
better
than
my
Indonesian,
and
he
immediately
asks
me
if
I
would
like
to
sit
in
the
emergency
room.
I
say
yes,
the
pain
and
the
trauma
qualifies
as
an
emergency.
I
fill
out
paperwork,
and
we
get
me
to
the
emergency
triage.
Maybe
my
lucky
day,
because
there
is
no
queue
and
I'm
immediately
tended
to
by
young,
educated
men
(Male
Nurse
Eka
&
Doktor
Wijaya)
who
both
also
speak
English
quite
well
and
fluently,
respectively.
As
I
sit
here,
and
think
how
lucky
I
am
to
not
be
in
Siloam
or
BIMC,
who
are
notoriously
known
for
treating
BPJS
like
second
class
patients
and
only
prioritizing
Bule
paying
cash,
I
cannot
help
but
feel
so
relieved
that
I
came
to
a
predominately
local
hospital.
I
am
not
finished
with
my
services,
not
by
a
long
shot,
but
the
trajectory
is
looking
great
and
the
atmosphere
is
so
helpful
and
friendly
that
I
decide
to
leave
a
4*
review
right
now.
I'm
sure
I
will
come
back
and
edit
this
review
to
the
5*
quality
this
hospital
deserves
after
I
have
gone
through
all
the
steps.
That's
all
for
now---
the
reviews
of
Kasih
Ibu
are
well-deserved!
