Ok,
so
dining
at
Aperitif
was,
without
a
doubt,
the
BEST
fine
dining
experience
I've
ever
had
the
satisfaction
of
enjoying.
Now,
I've
dined
all
over
the
world
and
we
regularly
eat
at
top-rated
restaurants
in
metropolitan
cities
around
the
world,
however,
the
food
and
the
hospitality
at
Aperitif
was
truly
hard
to
fault.
Dinner
was
booked
by
two
of
my
friends
who
wanted
to
gift
my
partner
and
I
an
early
birthday
dinner,
so
we
had
booked
a
couple
of
days
earlier
with
anticipation.
Not
knowing
the
menu
or
what
to
expect,
we
were
in
for
an
absolute
treat!
We
were
initially
ushered
into
an
old-world
mixed
gentleman's
club
"world",
away
from
the
hustle
of
Ubud
centre.
Almost
like
stepping
into
another
world.
Classy,
elegant,
sophisticated,
discreet.
There
was
a
cigar
room
and
a
pool
table,
with
spirits
and
wines
that
littered
the
shelves.
"Wow,
I
feel
like
I've
been
transported
back
in
time..."
Our
entrée
for
the
degustation
menu
started
in
the
bar,
and
the
whole
experience
kicked
off
here.
Ordering
a
cocktail
from
mixologist,
Panji's,
new
drinks
menu
was
also
an
experience
unto
itself.
I
won't
spoil
you
with
all
of
the
little
intricacies
that
await
your
dining
experience,
but
I
do
want
to
mention
a
few
things
that
elevated
our
enjoyment.
The
cool
towels
to
wash
our
hands
with
at
the
beginning
of
the
dining
service
was
just
a
nice
touch.
I
loved
having
the
option
of
choosing
which
additions
I
wanted
added
to
my
water:
mint,
cucumber,
lemon
and/or
lime.
After
the
entree,
we
had
four
different
choices
for
bread
accompanied
by
three
different
butters
-
all
made
in-house.
We
were
also
able
to
see
the
entire
dish
prior
to
plating
and
serving
it
in
the
kitchen,
which
I
just
thought
was
so
lovely.
We
could
select
between
6
or
7
different
steak
knives
hand-crafted
from
around
the
world.
Of
course,
we
chose
the
local
Indonesian
knives.
The
whole
experience
was
enhanced
when
every
single
wait
staff
and
bartender
who
interacted
with
us
-
of
which
there
were
at
least
10
across
the
evening
-
knew
us
by
name
and
addressed
us
politely
each
time.
Between
the
main
course
and
dessert,
the
waiter
came
by
with
a
crumb
scraper
to
clear
the
table
of
any
mess.
Because
it
was
my
birthday,
they
had
also
prepared
an
extra
slice
of
chocolate
cake
for
me,
dimmed
the
lights
and
the
team
wished
me
a
"Happy
Birthday"
and
passed
on
a
personal,
birthday
card
with
signatures
from
the
entire
team.
The
desserts
were
honestly
so
good,
in
fact,
that
we
went
back
the
following
night
and
specifically
ordered
more
dessert
to
have
our
friend
try
it
with
us.
And
order
more
cocktails.
On
the
second
night,
we
had
shots
with
Panji
(mixologist)
and
met
the
pastry
chef
and
passed
on
my
regards
to
her
too.
Aperitif
was
truly
an
outstanding
dining
experience,
that
I
feel
would
be
hard
to
top
and
I'm
definitely
going
back
there
again
upon
my
next
visit.
Best
dining
experience
of
my
life.
12/10.
Truly.
