Respect! This team is pushing the boundaries on what vegan food can be. The textures and flavours of the dishes are outside of the ordinary and are delicious. They are elevating plant-based dishes to Michelin star quality and delivery. But in a cool and contemporary Balinese way. Everyone, including diehard meat eater will love the food here. And the service was great - not stuffy - professional and friendly but not to friendly- just right.

This place is at the forefront of innovative and sustainable vegan food in Bali. Each dish is carefully curated with a beautiful story from start to finish. I love how the dishes are flavored with ingredients that make use of the whole potential of the vegetable. Minimal waste as possible. My favorites from the “flavor library” are the pickle dust and onion waste powder. The staff is very warm, welcoming, and knowledgable of the menu. Overall, the food is sensational and the ambiance is great for a date or a group of friends. Highly recommend this place for vegans and non-vegans. 💯

Well... I'm not vegan, but I was aware it's a vegan place. It starts off with a sweet and spicy kick to the face on a spoon, and then nosedives off a cliff into bland vegetables, unfortunately. Unique decor though... Kind of like being lost in the desert while tripping out, searching for something edible.

I had a fantastic experience at Tanaman. The staff were so warm and friendly. The chef even came out to speak with me. I had a series of amazing vegan / plant based dishes, really original and unique. They were all of a very high standard, I couldn't fault the food. Some even used sprouts and herbs grown in the restaurant. It's also a very unique environment, something totally different, especially for a vegan restaurant. There are many options, you can simply order one item, or many, the degustation is not required as it was in previous seasons. If you are plant based, you shouldn't miss an opportunity to visit Tanaman while you are in Bali.

I could not take beautiful shot of photos due to low lighting inside the restaurant however all these full course vegan meal are just beautifully simple taste for taste buds and easy on stomach yet delicious to satisfy a hungry belly. The restaurant is in a dome shaped concrete building with a bar in the centre area which is slightly lower than ground level by several steps. The bar has quite some liquor drinks and wine.

The interior is beautiful and the staff is the friendliest and nicest in Bali. The food is beautifully presented but omg it all tasted very bland. It’s 2022, vegan food can be amazing. So many vegan restaurants serve much better vegan food for a fraction of the price. I totally understand the journey I was supposed to be taken on but the food, even though it was beautifully explained by the wait staff, just didn’t cut it.

This is an experience that you must have in Seminyak. One of the most amazing vegan restaurants that I have eaten in. Everything is fresh, and everything is delicious. The staff is very helpful, and they also explain in detail how they source their food and how the entire establishment is run in a sustainable manner.

We're vegan and visited Tanaman first in 2020, when it was an Indonesian menu and it just blew our minds. So much so that we decided to come back. The menu is now totally different, with a new, lovely chef. It's hard to classify the menu inspiration, it is trying many different things. Of about 9 dishes, 1 we found to be superb (cracker) , most of the rest average, and a couple below average (micro greens, watermelon) . It was a roller coaster which unfortunately ended up not meeting our expectation, but the chef is young and inspired, and there's talent there no doubt, with ample room for improvement. Staff was wonderful and knowledgeable, and the ambience is fantastic.

From the first step you walk in you can tell this is a unique place. The atmosphere here it's amazing! One thing I could never imagine is how music can be in such alignment with the design of a restaurant. Tanaman means plant based. The 7 course meals, the ones we had (because it's changing from time to time), had some of the most tasteful dishes we had in Bali. I'm vegan, but I don't think someone should be as well to appreciate this fine dining experience. In addition, the service was very kind, warm, friendly and very professional. We left with only positive impressions and we definitely want to come back.

Lovely restaurant. I'm not a vegan. Felt that the menu was absolutely delicious while lacking in perhaps true "mains". This being said once accepting that it is more a sharing menu there is a delightful dining experience awaiting. Order more more more and you will be satisfied.

What an amazing experience we had. After taking some time to chill by the pool at Potatohead my friends and I came to Tanaman for dinner. This was amazing vegan food. For me the stand out was the 'fish and chips'. It's a tapas/sharing style menu and I recommend trying as many dishes as you can. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a lovely ambience. The staff is phenomenal.

I cannot properly describe how amazing our dining experience at Tanaman was. All of the staff, specifically Mita and Coca were so attentive and accommodating. We went for my 30th birthday dinner and so glad we did. Coca explained the menu to us, and offered to "set the flow" of dining for us. He also indicated which natural wines would pair well with our meal. We were not disappointed, the food and wine paired perfectly and the order of the food was well curated. We loved that all of the food was locally sourced with minimal waste. I was also so pleasantly surprised at how stunning the local natural wines were, I'd be happy to drink these all the time! Although the portion sizes were perfect, I wish we had ordered 2x of everything so we could experience it twice. The head chef has designed a gorgeous menu. We will be back, highly recommend you check out this restaurant if you are keen on plant based foods (and even if you are not, you will be shocked at how good it is).

Tanaman Potato Head offers exceptional plant based options. The staff's passion and knowledge about their produce elevate the dining experience, making it memorable for all dietary and food enthusiasts. Try and grab a seat by the trees and enjoy the squirrels playing outside!

Fabulous!!! Very unique experience & concept in Bali. All the Balinese classic dishes revisited with a veggie modern twist. Delicious.

This place is excellent. Great unique dishes that are creative in character and served perfectly. Great portion sizes too. We loved the Bayam, Brokoli, and yuba, but you have to try the kelapa labneh. So amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Awesome service and vibes. Honestly the best part of potato head (maybe other than the view from breakfast!). But seriously go there.

Delicious plant-based foods, intimate atmosphere, family-friendly, attentive service. My favourite is Bajagor and Bubur Sumsum!

Veggie alert!! This restaurant offers a unique-style food in culinary history. With plant based concept, it gives you a new dining experience once the meal comes to the table! I love the very good smell - Nasi Hijau, I can eat it EVERYDAY only with crackers. And the legend Jackfruit Rendang, emh, taste like real a real meat, while yes.. from jackfruit. TRY! Blue lovers should come feel the ambiance, you wouldn't regret it.

Honestly one of coolest experiences from start to finish. The resturant is super unique and makes for a very cool dining experience. The food was FANTASTIC!! I can’t wait to go back. They even made me a complimentary cake for my birthday. It was so sweet 😊

Being plant based for 6+ years and a lover of fine dining this was an experience like no other. Dom and the team have thought of everything. It is a full sensory experience. From the lighting to the sound (we managed to book when there was an experimental musician curating the sound for the evening) to the lighting to the amazing aromas emanating from the carefully prepared food. The pumpkin course and yuba course are to die for. Dom shows off their culinary skill by being out there with the flavor combinations, hitting that sweet between innovative and nostalgic. Reni our sever was the best! She was so attentive, knowledgeable and hilarious. We love her. Can't thank the team enough for such a great experience. Will be back again ASAP.

A fining dining vegan restaurant serving healthy delicacy in a futuristic feel ambience. Excellent service, the wait staffs are attentive and good knowledge on the foods they serve.

Just WOW. What an experience. Felt like a Meow Wolf vibe with all the cool lighting and architecture. But the food! So delicious. Elevated vegan. Non vegan husband loved it as well. Appreciate restaurants making progress towards sustainable measures. We need to make more progress than just the plastic straw ban- Tanaman also has coasters & silverware holders made from upcycled bottle caps, uses fresh herbs from the hydroponic garden at the entrance of the restaurant, and other awesome green practices. It's awesome. Keep it up. Def will be back!

It's so refreshing to see Bali catering for different diary requirements and Tanaman didn't disappoint. From the moment we walked in the door it was a dining experience. The food was amazing, the staff were SO LOVELY and helpful, and we walked out absolutely full. I would highly recommend Tanaman to ANYONE who have a passion for good food and are keen for a different dining experience. I did get a little cold in there but was given a throw to cover my legs since I was dressed for the humidity outside lol

Absolutely amazing! With 7 courses of the Season 02 menu, we were taken on a journey of the most delicious and unique farm to table experience. Each course awoken the senses and inspired your taste buds showing how the dishes really highlighted so much flavour and natural beauty in the ingredients used. Each dish prepared you for the next. Paired with wines as an option to opted for. One after the next introducing lighter dishes to a more substantial and savoury to a more sweet dish to the beautifully crafted dessert! The staff showed attention to detail and enthusiasm taking the time to explain each dish as they arrived. This completely complemented the food and the unforgettable dining experience. Head chef Dom has done a superb job in creating a menu to really test the sensory boundaries. The work that Dom has put into this creation speaks for itself. This menu demonstrates her ability to use what we produce beyond its capabilities. The courses introduce blends of robust and innovative flavours in this menu, highlighting the use of locally sourced and sustainably grown produce. This dining experience can only truly be described as amazing! The food was simply delicious, the staff were very invested in the journey and offered a 10/10 best customer service. I would and hopefully will dine at Tanaman again and I would recommend the same to anyone who is looking for that authentic ‘farm to table’ experience, whether vegan or not, it is truly delightful.
