You should consider this market if you want to buy a Balinese traditional products as a gift for other people. They have clothes, caps, fans, handcrafted house furniture, paintings. All sold for a weirdly moderate price. But we can negotiate it extremely until a very low price. But there are certain store (one of them named Hawaii Handcraft) whose price are fixed and can not be negotiated.

There are a lot of beautiful products, but the prices are not as cheap as you might thibk as long as you are a foreigner. I guess they think tourist = idiot and they act on that. Plus they are following you, though not as bad as the badung market, which made me want to leave asap because of how they treated us. They smell foreign blood and they all come like hienas trying to profit to the maximum off of you. Not a nice feeling at all, but I guess everyone is trying to make ends meet. You need your top level bargaining skills. I personally hate that with passion. Good luck if you're a westerner, you will need it.

Very dirty, half empty. Stalking ladies. Honestly I came to buy bags which I saw in Canggu for 300K thought that I could easily find here for -50% To my surprise all the prices were almost the same, like 280k. What a great job I did, honestly, it's work to bargain. I chose bags I loved, then I came through all the vendors, one ladywas following me, wanted me to buy straw baseball hats, she said 120k which is the same price as everywhere. I lost interest and started to look others. She kept following me and I said 50, she said no. I started to walk again, then she asked how kamyi wamti said 5-10 pieces. At the end shegave me 35k for each. Iwas happy and exhausted. I came one floor up, hats were on my hand and this lady looked at me and asked for how much I took them, 20k? And I said no, and understood that I still paid a lot. Next round I wentfor bag's andit was hell of a work again. Just trust me if you want something less than in a boutique shop you really have to work for that and who knows what's the real price of the item is. Finally I was on the way to exit and saw beautiful hat like Odri Hepburn style from straw, took it put it and gave 35k, the seller was happy and told me that I am good at bargain. Wow. What a day. For me totally worth it! Happy.

Already at the entrance there are women who run after you during the entire visit and want to pull you constantly into any stores. The offered goods hardly differ and everyone sells the same stuff which comes in containers from countries in which the labor costs are even lower than in Indonesia. The goods have nothing at all to do with art. The prices here are also extremely high compared to other markets of this kind. That is why there are hardly any tourists here. We were the only ones. Better to visit another market, for example in Ubud or Kuta.

A traditional market in Denpasar, good view with a river at its front. I came two consecutive days actually to this market, but it was not so much visitors. I just came here to buy a pack of fried pork skin and it was really cheap here. On the other side of the river, you can find Badung market, it was a renewed traditional market

Interesting and to be seen. It was for sure something amazing in the past .. not anymore today. I remember visiting this pace 6 years ago it was a city - now only few shops selling the practically the same stuff - but it is a part of he city and of the tradition. Prices do require negotiation. Pay attention to the people around the market - nothing to worry about from a Safty point of view but they simply start to follow you non stop since not a lot of tourist come here anymore

This place has three storeys. The first has only clothing, the second has mainly rattan baskets and other trinkets, and the third has lots of wooden bowls, paintings, cutting boards, etc. Coming in, we were expecting things to be very cheap, but I found that the vendors still asked for a lot and many did not care if we just walked away. Overall, a pretty exhausting experience, but I guess that’s not unusual when having to bargain for everything. Also, be prepared to get followed/harassed by some vendors.

Newly renovated river between 2 biggest Denpasar Market: Kumbasari and Badung Market. Great place to sit and relaxing after shopping in the market. One thing that is still quite annoying here is the smell from the fish market and the river itself, hopefully the city planning service will clean the river and market management can relocate the fish market once Badung Market reclamation is finished.

I came for a specific small souvenir art pieces that i previously saw being sold at a big temples and could not find anywhere else around Canggu. This market has a full floor dedicated to arts, with a big shop selling some really nice painting, so it was an easy find, with a nice prices. Of course, you can and should bargain here, but i was ok with prices even without negotiation, i think 3-4$ they ask for is fine for a more unique souvenir.

Many cute and unique Bali Handcrafted items can be found here. Some sellers have fixed prices, while others need to bargain. Most of them only accept cash payment. This place is close with Badung market.

There are other art markets in Bali with a larger variety of wares. Here, you will be greeted with the same wares atall after stall. Vendors are friendly and not really pushy, but be prepared to haggle. Mostly woodcraft and stonewares to be found here.

Don’t go unless you want to test your bargaining skill. Everything is overpriced, they are just not honest. Local follows you and sell you at each store; at the end, they ask for tips . Don’t waste the time to come to this spot, it is ard 45 mins drive from town to this market

Nice big traditional market which is predominantly selling accessories, traditional clothes, paintings, handcrafts, and many more for your gifts. Dont forget to bargain because in the beginning they will offer you high price 2x - 3x than normal price. I think it's more comfy and Balinese vibes was felt there than modern store or similar market in Ubud, Canggu, or Kuta.

This is a local market for spice and everyday things like pots and pans, kind of run down and smelly. Not pleasant. I don't see any "arts" for sale here so calling this an "Art Market" is a gross misstatement.

Multi-level markets. Clothes, nick nacks, art, accessories etc. Go in the morning for a good price. Lots to choose from. Food markets are outside.

The market is so crowded but you can find fresh veggie, fresh seafood and many things with good price.

Not very many stores open but those that were had a wide variety to choose from. Very pushy vendors though & it seems the prices are inflated when they see a tourist appear which was disappointing 😔

Great selection of traditional fabrics and handicrafts. Also a good place to hunt for entry-priced paintings! For fabric, go to the 2nd Floor. For painting, go to Putu Painting at the 3rd floor. The art market is closed at 5 PM, so make sure to go before that. After 5, only fresh produce stalls are open.

It's supposedly the wholesale market. I could see the attraction of going there, specially if you want to buy things in multiples. It's a bit of a drive from Nusa Dua. But i liked the local atmosphere, it was fun. But if you don't know bahasa, you could end up paying tourist prices.
