Not only Covid but a big hit from the neighbor (and much much better) shopping center -Beachwalk- really take this mall down. In past 90s and early 2000s this is the king of Mall in Kuta, Bali. But everything change and nothing last forever. This is what happened to Discovery. Even though they had the best scenery in Kuta, because they are located in Kuta beach. And the back of the Mall brings you straight to the beach! Cool, right. But like I said, time has changed and I think most tourists prefer to stay on the south coast of Bali which is Canggu area. Not to mention the emerge of Beachwalk mall put Discovery to the end(?) of its era.

Today only few business remain inside, most of them left empty, making this place bit creepy. Need major overhaul and upgrade to revitate this shopping centre to make it lives again. A really nice shopping center close by the beach, has a great departmental store (Sogo) where you can get clothes, bags, luggage, swim wear etc. A few food options are available, a massage place, a pharmacy , also some indoor market style shops selling clothes and assorted Balinese souvenirs (candles, handicraft, soaps), there is a decent toy shop and a payless shoes plus a decent arcade/amusement park setup with a kid play area, game machines and KTV rooms. on the negative, the place lacks food options and missing a supermarket, it was also rather quiet when I was there. I kinda feel its a place catered more to the tourist market. Overall, its a really good place to escape the afternoon heat.

This is the first mall I've actually been into in Asia. There are always so many markets and stores all over It seems kind of superfluous to have a mall🤷🏻‍♂️ But on the other hand it occurs to me that if it rains that would be the only place for everyone to go 🤔 So perhaps it's the rainy day activity of Asia.☔ This mall is quite large and several levels. In the front you actually climb the steps to the second level when you enter. Out the back is the beach level. There are many more delicate and unique things in the mall, items that are less susceptible to the weather I'm guessing.

This is a good mall in Bali. Too bad some of the stores were closed when I visited. There was a Polo Factory outlet, but it appears that all of their stores in Bali are closed, maybe permanently. There is a department store here with great sales and discounts. There are a few restaurants and food stalls also. It's wonderful that you can step out of the mall and they have an area adjoining the beach where you can have a relaxing walk.

Other side facing kuta beach with beautiful view. I spent evening in Vilo, great place for coffee and snacks. There are small shops like ice cream, juice etc, so it’s a perfect place to enjoy sunset at kuta beach. Would recommend to enjoy food and sunset, but for shopping not yet.

I often visit this place to attend competition events and also take videos and photos. Great choice of place for video footage and photos especially in the afternoon during sunset. The mall is quite spacious and has several spaces to be used as event venues. Behind the mall there is also a basketball court and a beach that has a very good sunset view! I think this mall is not very interesting for shopping options, because the choices are limited. The only problem is the queue in the basement parking lot. Especially at night when there is an event, the queue to pay for parking can be up to 30 minutes :( Overall good to visit
