A wonderful snorkeling paradise full with Mediterranean marine life

The hike takes about 55 minutes. Very steep and walking on sand/small rocks might be dangerous, so wear proper shoes. Also sunscreen if you go up in the morning. The views are amazing and breathtaking. Not too many people. 10/10.

Very funny island: only 15km across and 500 inhabitants. On top of that: we visited it in November and all 4 restaurants were closed. Thank god Luigi (Noleggio rental service) was still there to pick us up at the port and provide us with all info, places of interest and a topless Fiat 125 for a days discovery.

Nice trip to dormant Vulcano. You need around 1h to reach summit from port. Have a lot of liquid with you. If you are alone on the top do not go through fumaroles.

Travelling around the island in a boat it is amazing to see the segments of earth showing past volcanic activity. The smell of sulfur was not as bad as l was expecting. lt was wonderful to see people bathing themselves in the mud pool. l just went for a swim in the ocean and saw bubbles urupting up to the surface of the water, spooky feeling. My skin after the swim felt so soft to touch....

Unbrlievable experience! 40 mins hike to the top of Vulcano was one of the most impressive things over our holiday

Top destination for vulcano lovers. This island gave the name to all vulcans over the world. Mid difficult 1 hour walk uphill with splendid views during the whole journey. On the top there are beautiful sulphur parts with strong odor.
