Through different incarnations, this place, tucked away in an oasis of greenery, is a haven for native wildlife. The cafe atmosphere has always been conducive to quiet contemplation. The food and coffee have been of a high standard, however there are often uncovered food products on the face high counter which I am sure, for health reasons, should not be there.

My wife and I took a 6km walk arround bibra lake, then decided to have breakfast and coffee at Black Salt Cafe for the first time on a saturday morning. It was a enjoyable experience, staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. The food was tasty, and a variety of menu to choose from. The Black Salt Cafe is a hidden gem nestled amongst the tranquility of Bibra lakes bushland. Its a place you can relax and chill out and admire the surroundings. We loved walking arround the old garden. You could easily think you where in Margaret River in this beautiful spot, with its layout and beautiful surrounding bush, fruit trees and naitive birds. Bit disappointed with our first experience but definitely will give them a second chance as we hope this may be an outlier experience .We went there for the first time and waited for almost an hour till our food came. The staff mentioned they had a new chef but we think they missed our order. Was definitely disappointing that other tables were served before us even though they arrived after us and the staff has realised that we’d been waiting for a fair bit. The food was bland and cold and portions were very disappointing. Really hoping that the next time we go there we would have a better experience

Took my 88 year old mum there and she ordered scrambled eggs and toast. Couldn't eat the bread as it was so burnt and hard. Also agree with past posts...shouldn't have food at face level uncovered...yuk..and before you say should of said something about food....pointless as staff too rushed and probably don't care. Food took ages to get...nice setting..expensive and questionably not hygienic.

A hidden gem! Been here a few times for coffee and returned recently for lunch. The food was well presented and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Would recommend. Thank you

Fabulous halloumi salad and avo smash. All the items on the menu (and the extensive specials board)looked delicious. The kombucha was wonderful and there were many eclectic food items for sale. Eating area is surrounded by fruit trees and native bushes. You’re likely to see bandicoots and honeyeaters. Great oasis of tranquility in this busy area.

Waited nearly 40 mins for a take away order, and part of it was wrong but couldn't afford to wait any longer for them to correct it. Arrived around 8:20am and there was nothing in any display cabinet, it made the place look like it wasn't open or serving food. They have an online menu that appears different to their paper menu.

Great coffee, great food, staff were really friendly and ideal setting. Parking was easy as well.
