I have had dosa before, but I never had dosa before! This is the most authentic dosa I've ever had in my life. I am not a South Indian, and getting to eat something pretty close to its origin in a foreign land is pretty rare. Thanks to a couple of folks who suggested this place. Cheers to you guys. I would love to give them five stars in a heart beat for the delicious food and great hospitality. P.S. We tried masala dosa, upon the suggestion of a Srilankan host, we tried their restaurant's special "karikudi chicken" and in dessert saffron kulfi.

great restaurant, we had to come and wait for opening time at 4:50 because we’ve heard of how busy it can get. when it opened, we ordered the masala dosa. it had plenty of potatoes and a very nice kick to it. the vadas were very hot and crispy and it was huge! the coconut chutney was good, but the other condiment was even better (dont know what its called) the lentil soup was steaming hot and delicious with nice lentils inside. the tikka masala chicken was also delicious with a nice kick of spices. it was even better with rice. the paratha was soft but crispy on the edges, it was chewy, but also melts in your mouth. absolutely delicious with the tikka masala. the service was nice, they gave us A LOT of rice with little chives on top. looked very nice and the rice was cooked perfect. a bit hot and stuffy inside, but it could be because the masala dosa potato was starting to kick in🥲 the karaikudi chicken was okay, it was a tad bit salty, but with rice it was better! definitely get rice if you are going to order tikka masala or the karaikudi chicken, they are salty. overall, amazing experience, my favourite dish was definitely masala dosa, the vadas were AMAZING!! definitely coming again, but maybe trying other curries😚

Unfortunately, my experience at Madras Cafe restaurant was quite disappointing. The service was slow and inattentive, with waitstaff seeming disinterested. The food lacked flavor and freshness, leaving much to be desired. Additionally, the ambiance was lackluster, with outdated decor and uncomfortable seating. All in all, it didn't live up to the hype, and I wouldn't recommend it for a memorable dining experience.

I recently had the opportunity to dine in at Madras Corner with a group of friends. We had masala dosas, onion dosas , podi idli and South Indian coffee. The flavours were authentic and mouth watering. The service was truly commendable. The staffs were attentive and orders were served promptly. They were even willing to accommodate special requests, which added to our positive aspects of our visit. The ambience was a bit subdued. Overall, we were pleased by the flavours of the food, and will be returning to explore more delicious South Indian food.

Great place for take away and the staff are very friendly and lovely to deal with. Their portion size is good and $3 sambar option is my favourite. Thumbs up for their $10 options, especially the vada and idly ones. It is a favourite in the house. Their weekend special breakfast is a Must to try.

We have just been to Madras Corner and we found it amazing, We had the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Rogan Josh and the meat was so tender and the flavours packed a punch. My husband does not normally eat Indian food and finally for the first time he thoroughly enjoyed the food. Thanks for a great experience and looking forward to the next visit.

Good location with ample parking space. A small place with separate area for dining and takeaway. Booking is advisable as this place is usually crowded but they still accept walk-ins as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seats. Service is fast and food is tasty. If you like Indian food, this place is definitely a place to go to.

My favourite place to go whenever I have cravings for idli, Sambar vadai and bru coffee. Mysore Masala thosai is a must to try if you are big fan of masala thosai.

Amazing food! The best it gets in all of Perth. Can't get any better! Especially when it is extraordinarily hard to get good South Indian food like this.

It was very disappointing. Will never visit again. - food was not good at all. - it was to sour including dosa and sambhar - service was not great at all - did not check for any extra sambhar or chutneys - order was area ed very late - Staff was not helpful I gave feedback to staff and he did not do anything. Did not bother regarding my complaint. I suggest that not to go there again. It’s really bad experience for all of us. We had dinner for 6 people. Took 35 to 40 mins for 6 same dosa. White coconut chutney had to much water that’s running into the bowl.

Visited today evening for the first time Madras Corner with family. We had masala dosas, podi idli, lamb biryani and lassi. The flavours were authentic and mouth watering. The service was truly commendable. The staffs were attentive specially (simran) and orders were served promptly. The owner aunty was very welcoming and gave my son a free treat. Overall, we were pleased by the flavours of the food, and will be returning to explore more delicious South Indian food.

They accomodated our big group of 16 people at a short notice of 30 mins on a busy Sunday. We were famished and had the best time. Mouth watering dishes, generous servings and friendly customer service. Highly recommended and will be back soon😋😊

The food is delicious 😋 I've eaten several things off the menu from Dosa to bireyani. I too love their Coffee ☕️ The taste and standard of their meals are second to none and many of my friends and family rave about their food. When wanting to eat a home South Indian Meal, head down to Madras Corner as you won't be disappointed.

A real local gem that does a mean and authentic dosa. We have been coming here for years now and they haven’t missed a beat - if anything they are improving as their daal has been getting better I feel. I usually get the masala dosa and recommend dining in where it’s fresh and crispy, rather than takeaway as it can get soggy by nature of being in the takeaway box. It also gets pretty busy so recommend planning accordingly too!

The place can get very crowded so best to come early just after opening time. Service is friendly and prompt. The quality and flavour of the food is wonderful, though I won't say that prices are reasonable. We especially enjoyed their briyani, so much flavour.

Unbelievably good Indian food. Their tosai/dosa is very authentic, if you’re from Malaysia or Singapore then this is pretty much the closest you’ll get to that standard in the whole of Perth. The briyani was also very good - well balanced and everything is reasonably priced. Venue is slightly small so when it’s busy might take a while to get a seat but otherwise I couldn’t recommend this place more if you want tosai. They don’t do roti yet but hoping that will change eventually!

I went there twice, the first was at 5.30pm, the vadas were nice, hot and crisp. The second time I went was at 7.30pm, the vadas were just warm and was very oily! The dosas are really good! Podi idily is the best there! The service is quick!

Can have exquisite taste of coconut chutney over this place, people who crave for Southern sambar can give a try.

Dined there last week on my visit to Perth and it unfortunately fell below my expectations. Had a few dosas, vada, idly, and chai. The ghee dosa was decent, but the mysore masala, which is supposed to have a spicy chutney inside that is made from garlic, red chilly, and coconut. However, this one had what felt like a chilly schezwan paste you get in the bottle. The vada was decent, but chutney lacked any tempering or flavor. There was no sambar given with the vada. Idly was a pass as well. Masala Chai was fine. Lot of scope for improvement if done right. Unfortunately everything tastes like north Indian version of south Indian food. The service, one of the ladies sure needs some coaching in speaking with customers. It felt like she was doing us a favor by giving us food.

Nice home style South Indian Dosa Sambhar. Authentic. Vada Sambhar was very good

Usually they are not bad, good for lunch apart from last Sunday.. 1 star would be too harsh but last week wasn’t any better than that. Please don’t take order guys if you’re too busy don’t make someone wait over an hour for their lunch only to know you have to wait another 20-25 mins.

The food was really authentic. The portions sizes and prices were very reasonable. The serves was a little rushed and we felt like we had to eat and get out quickly, but that's only because they were so busy. A good problem to have. Well worth the drive out to the burbs.

Absolutely wonderful. As a passionate food lover and a cook, I can tell you that their taste is truly authentic. We tried the Madras Tiffin which was absolute value for money along with great taste! Will definitely make this my Saturday brunch spot.

Ordered Cheese Dosai, Podi Dosai, Podi Idli, Chicken Kheema Dosai and Uttapam. Taste was 10/10 but service is way too late. Took 40 mins for Dosas. Coffee was also good.

The good: - Food was nice. The bad: - Service was standard. A kiosk with self-service would probably be a better choice, instead of hiring a cheap front facing staff. Would I recommend this place? Yes, but please don't expect a candlelight dinner kind of expectation.

Great place for South Indian food. Can't go wrong with their dosa. Service is friendly and fast. Food is always fresh and beautifully cooked. Outside area could use some shade especially on hot days.

👍👍 Fantastic smash burgers that I would pay good money for again and again. I had the Paperbark. The beef is flavourful and moist. Cheese was beautifully melted on the beef patties.
