delicious and authentic Indonesian food. We loved it all. basically Self service for the cutlery and water .older from the table using a QR code. When food is already they will bring it to your table. They did forget the vegetables on one dish but they quickly corrected it when we told them. if you’re happy with these then I think it’s a good place to go .

First time been here to try out the food. I was so excited. Order a few dishes for lunch with my very young toddler. Nasi goreng was good. But the chicken satay is undercooked the meat is still raw inside and we already had some. I was very disappointed and let them know. Good service they refunded for that. Toilet needs clean too. It's very dirty. It's very sad to see this. I hope that this can be a good feedback going forward to improve. Thank you for friendly service today :)

OK, so I'm rather biased. Because I am Indonesian, I love this place and all the dishes they pump out. Food is delicious and fresh - otherwise this thing called indigestion comes after. You just can't go wrong, my family faces are nasi goreng, mie goreng, sate atam, beef ribs, meatball soup, fried duck, ... every thing and evertimd they will nor dissapoint. They're always busy so book ahead or get take away and eat at home in your jamis like me! 👍🏻

If I have to rate best Indonesian food in Perth then DVJ will be on the number 1 for sure 😁😁 one of my comfort food, place that I hang out with my loved ones and close friends. There's some place that I feel so rush, hectic, and uneasy but this little gems at Vic Park really bring homey, comfortable atmosphere the and staff are also very friendly (these 3 things are really important for me when comes to a restaurant and one has to support another). My favourite dishes is bakso malang and the fish the I ordered in this photo 1 is normal grilled fish on their menu and 1 is requested Keto version, so yes you can request a Keto version grilled fish with no sugar or sweet soy sauce 😋😋

Absolutely gorgeous tasting dishes. First time there. Food came out super fast. Lovely staff all round. Try their Murtabak Mi Goreng and Beef Rendang.

Yum! Friendly service and great vibe. First time visiting so we picked a few things off the Signature Dishes. Bebek Bali (Duck) was perfectly crispy on the outside but succulent and tender in the middle, Mie Goreng full of flavour and the omelette pancake (Martabak Telor) very moreish. Keen to return and try more dishes! Recommend booking a table if you want an inside seat as space is limited.

Had lunch here recently based on a recommendation. Decided to check out their menu. We ordered the nasi lemak and the nasi Padang with a fried bean curd and spring roll. Food turned out to be decent and quite authentic in taste. I would recommend this place if you are craving for a decent Indonesian food.

Beautiful authentic Indo dishes served in a basic but clean and quiet environment. I loved their selection of drinks!! From bandung to teh tarik and everything in between. They even have murtabak - Indo style omelette folded with over a meat stuffing!! Definitely a winning ticket if you’re looking for crispy duck or braised beef ribs or satay all served with a generous helping of coconut rice and homemade sambal and downed with a chilled jasmine tea!!

Have been here with some of my friends before today, decided today was the day I wanted to get a Mee Goreng after a gym workout. I got spicy Mee Goreng but there was not a lot of spice. My skin may be white but I can handle the heat, don't go so soft next time. I don't want Australian spicy :D Good service and a great feed.

I was really looking forward to eating at this place but was left disappointed. The portion sizes are very small and it took over 30 minutes for our food to be served. I ordered Bakso (meatballs soup) and Ikan (fish) Bakar with rice. The Bakso was served in a small bowl, probably a kids bowl. The fish and rice were cold and the rice had grains of soil in it. It wasn't even busy so I am not sure why the quality of the food and service level was so low. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

A simple Indonesian eatery that packs a punch (because of how good and spicy the sambal is, but mainly because how excellent the food is). Lunchtime is a good time to go to get nasi Padang, which is a mix and match of what you'd like on top of your rice. Traditionally you should use your hands, but this is Australia and spoon and fork is the convention. If you're uncomfortable, maybe you can try taking away and start grabbing the rendang and rice with your hands - I promise you it's great. There are Indonesian drinks here also which shouldn't go amiss. The place is packed with a lot of Indonesians, like me, so you'd know that this is some authentic stuff. I often order the takeaway for my grandma who has the highest standard for Indonesian cuisine, and she can finish an entire dish by herself. Plus, the prices are more than reasonable here.

I ordered the rice and beef rendang with a side of 2 Telor Belado...I love rendang and had high hopes. Alas... I was very disappointed with the beef rendang. Chewy and lacking in taste. The rice was hard as well. My wife had a better experience with her fish dish. Considering that rendang probably originated from Indonesia, I felt they could have made more effort to make this dish tasty. It was dry, fatty and chewy. The Telur Belado was also disappointing. It came coated in oil and just a chili type of coating. Not a traditional Chili sauce or sambal. Way too spicy. The wife said it for me. We will NOT be coming back to eat as this was a first visit and it was pretty dismal.

Very authentic Javanese food. Delicious and staff were kind. However, very pricey. Had a combination dish (2 meats 1 vege) cost me $18 with small portion.

finally had a chance to visit this infamous Indonesian restaurant. ordered martabak ($16), batagor (around $8) ? ayam geprek ($16,5), and nasi goreng bali ($18,5). my favorite one was the batagor, the peanut sauce was quite authentic. the other dishes are nice too, I like the sambal in the ayam geprek. service was good and the restaurant interior was pretty nice, it was not big but enough for a quick family gathering.

I'm on transit in Perth and my friend took me here for lunch. Limited parking space in front of shop but there's a lane to the back with more parking lots. I ordered gado-gado (veggies salad with peanut sauce and crackers), ikan bakar bumbu Bali (grilled fish with sambal matah), and risoles (fried pastry with veggies inside) for dine-in, then cendol (jelly-like droplets with coconut milk and palm sugar) to take away. Didn't order nasi Padang because I had late breakfast and not keen to eat rice (was expecting nasi gudeg which not in the menu 😅). Initially wanted Tempe mendoan (missed my hometown!), but was sold out and got risoles instead. If only they serve whole fish instead of a fillet, it'll make the score up to 5 stars.. Dining area a bit compact, however has nice Indonesian touch here and there.

Very good suburban restaurant with a lot of local support. Food served just like in Indonesia and well priced. Can order at table with QR code or at counter. Is BYO. Casual atmosphere.

Delicious nasi Padang. I especially enjoyed the jackfruit curry. The Beef Rendang was tender and tasty. The green chilli sambal was a lovely addition. The nasi goreng jawa was simple yet flavoursome. Busy in the weekend with many Indonesian customers.

It was an overall nice experience. It was a small and cosy restaurant with friendly staff. The place needs some renovation to rejuvenate its vibrancy as it is looking a bit tired. The food was ok and could be improved. Satay was nice but dry. Ayam penyet (Indonesian smashed chicken rice) came in small portion. The Maryland drumstick was a small piece. Taste wise was good, the sambal was good. Mee goreng was ok, nothing to rave about. Happy soda was flat and disappointing. We also order gado gado (an Indonesian salad of raw, slightly boiled, blanched or steamed vegetables and hard-boiled eggs, boiled potato, fried tofu and tempeh) and Tahu telor (an Indonesian tofu omelette presented with a spicy and creamy sauce) - they were delicious, the sauce was excellent and well presented. I would recommend a try and it is good to support support local businesses through the pandemic.

I do not come here often enough. However, when I do, I always enjoy their food. Staff are friendly and always accomodating. I love their tempe mendoan. mie goreng Jawa, kway tiao goreng Jawa, combo rice (Padang food), gado gado and karedok. I would prefer if the latter have more peanut sauce. Overall, great food and great friendly fast service.

The service was great, really friendly staff and good hospitality. Came here for dinner and ordered their ikan bakar bali (Balinese grilled fish) and ayam kremes komplit (batterless fried chicken set). The chicken was crispy and succulent and really tasty. Loved the sambal that's got an extra kick of spiciness. The fish was just cooked but it's on the oily side. Loved the mixed vegetables with peanut sauce though.

Love the ambience and the traditional decor. It truly bring out the authenticity feeling of the whole dining experience. There are 3 dining area available. The verandah, the inside, the upstairs. All set up very well. Love the Nasi padang and ayam kremes. ❤️ The flavours remind me of authentic indonesian street foods which i missed so much. Risoles were also very good. The ragout were taste great and fresh. An entree food must have ❤️ Tempeh mendonan was ok. I wish it was crunchier though. They sell indonesian style cendol ( pandan jelly with coconut milk and palm sugar )❤️ There's 4 hrs street parking along the front of the restaurant. But can be challenging to have a spot during peak hours. Convenient location as it very close to Victoria park centre and chemist warehouse. Friendly staffs. Good prices.

Group of 6 with 3 kids not a single scrap left on any of the plates, was very tasty and decent servings. The restaurant is a bit small so would recommend booking ahead of time especially for a group. We will definitely return
