The restaurant is located on the main square of Luca where you don’t expect to meet first class restaurant. But it was huge surprise - the food was elegant and delicious. The service was the best ever. We have tried few traditional dishes - unbelievable!

If you are in Lucca you must go to this restaurant. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Gluten free and vegetarian options with an easy to read menu. They use all local ingredients for their traditional Italian fare. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about all of the food and spoke great English. If you are gluten free, they make the best gluten free rolls I have ever tasted. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! An enchanting experience.

I avoid restaurants in the central square, as I am afraid they will be tourist traps. But we gave this place a try on the basis of a recommendation from another top restaurant in town. And it was fantastic. Seriously delicious food, fairly priced, excellent service. High quality ingredients are evident. Highly recommended. One of the new breed of Lucca restaurants with a young staff doing amazing things.

Great quality ingredients used, great combination of flavours. Even the olive oil served with bread was amazing. The Spritz is very good. The service is fantastic. The waiters were very attentive for example when a knife fell we didn't even need to ask a new one they came individually to replace it. Also I asked a white wine and the waiter saw that I didn't really fully like it , so he automatically proposed a new one which was totally to my taste. We ate outside and with only standard ventilator it was a little hot. Definitely recommend this place!

Nice place to have a meal in the main piazza of the town. The waiter was very nice and explained the specials of the day and what he would recommend. We ordered the tortellini and fish ramen. They were fine, we missed more flavour on both dishes. The best was without a doubt their homemade bread. Delicious with some olive oil of the region.

This was easily our best meal in all of Italy. We weren’t expecting such a fine dining experience but with such reasonable prices. We could tell that the food was fresh and locally sourced as it was all just delicious. The service was professional, friendly and attentive. Also the setting within the square is so picturesque! Would absolutely recommend to anyone spending an evening in Lucca.

Incredible find in the middle of a touristy piazza in Lucca. Refined food, amazing service, takes you way beyond the basics of the other trattorias in the area. Everything was fantastic, from the cheese/salami plate, to the tortelonni pasta, to the steak and salad. Highly recommend, best food you'll find in a touristy piazza in Italy.

Our last night and dinner in beautiful Lucca. We had a wonderful dinner with all local products including the wine. Great service and great ambiance. Heading towards Cinque Terre tomorrow so I will have catch up on posts. I will do a larger post for Lucca tomorrow. I am sure we only scratched the surface with our explorationof eats culture, architecture, alleys, food and wine. If I have any say we will be back.

Great Great restaurant. Waitress was so knowledgeable with a great personality. I didn't get her name was a treat. Food was amazing. Try any anti pasta and pasta dishes. It will be amazing.

A truly lovely fine dining experience in a charming little area that makes for great people watching. Expect white table cloth dining, with professional servers and a creative, well executed menu. The wines lean to pricey selections, with no inexpensive local choices (which we have become fond of and accustomed to). Our antipasto dishes: beetroot and carrot mousse with baby carrots and Tuscan lentils - flavour packed and great textures; Seared fennel marinated in dill with smoked potato cream - visually stunning and fascinating taste combination. We shared one primi of venison parpadelle, which the kitchen was kind enough to place on two seperate plates for us. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked with a rich meat sauce. We finished by sharing the Mediterranean Amberjack - magnificently cooked to a silky texture with a complex sauce and purée base. Adored every bite, but for the price it was an extremely small portion. Save room for dessert - we had a decadent chocolate pastry filled with cream. It was just incredible! Overall loves this experience and would recommend a visit if you’re bored of the more traditional fare.
