It is a pity that nothing was done to preserve such a beautiful heritage and even the statues were stolen.

The rehabilitation done by the district council is visible. Prettier and cozier every day. A shortcut to the station.

A beautiful space, needing some TLC. Lovely park but where the fences are broken and the green spaces not used to their full potential, it doesn't feel like somewhere to spend much time. The building, immensely beautiful but in a poor state of repair. I wouldn't feel safe on my own in the dark but during the day, it's great to cool down. Some of the trees are amazing.

The first thought about Caxias is that it has a large beach where you can have a perfect day enjoying the sun and swimming, but this garden is a hidden wonder. It has many distinctive places within, some to visit, some to just sit on the grass and read a book, some with several trees to admire. It deserves to be promoted and invested more in it, to bring its beauty to surface.

A delightful surprise which I came to know thanks to a friend who took me there. Beautiful old gardens of nobles with an imposing fountain which sadly wasn't working due to the drought. The view from the upper levels is worth it. It's very close to the railway station.

😐 Beautiful palace and garden BUT IT IS CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION. Aug 2022. They have no idea when it is going to be reopened. No information on the website that it was closed...You can still visit the gardens which are very nice. Especially the Poet Cascade. Park just outside the palace is also worth...

👍👍 Update: Summer has come - a paid zone with sun beds and umbrellas has appeared. Well, there were more people.... If you get by train, then this is the nearest beach worthy of Lisbon. It takes 5 minutes to walk from the station. There is a cafe and a McDonald's nearby.
