Sandy's Place Restaurant is located near the airport at Cape Girardeau - Scott City. Relatively large dining area. We ate from the buffet. There were several items to choose from. Everything we tried had good flavor. Catfish fiddler's and other fried items were good. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and friendly people. Fish, Friends and Family

This place was busy busy busy, BUT SO WORTH IT. Food was delicious!! Staff were friendly and we didn’t wait too long after ordering before our food was being brought out to us. Pricing was very reasonable. You get a lot of food for your money. Highly recommend checking them out

Great hometown cooking and buffet. Tons of pies too. Their catfish is to die for. They even have hush puppies, fried okra, and a salad bar.

Anastasia was our server. It was really busy as we sat down but the staff did a very good job keeping up the pace. Nice place to visit. Cool stuff to see in there. Has a very hometown feel to it.

Always love Sandy's! Some of the better food in the whole area at hands down the best prices! You can get a meal here for less than a fast food combo! Not to mention if you come on Wednesday the pork steak special is wonderful and gigantic for the money! Worth a couple bucks to sub in onion rings with it. Taken it from me. Just make sure to save room for a slice of pie! Or two..!

Everything was perfect. Fish had perfect taste. Service was perfect. They kept our basket full of fish. Everything we had was out of this world tasting. I can’t wait until I get the chance to go back. And for the price, you can’t beat it nowhere. I hope they always stay in business. My favorite place to eat.

It's a awesome place to eat and we can't wait till they open back up on Saturday and Sunday for the fish etc buffet 😁 This time we ate there just off of the menu and it was awesome and with our meal an extra side and our sodas it was like $28 not bad for some really good fish and fries with fried okra, slaw, hush puppies, and drink's 😋😋

I walked in, no one there eating, another guy walked in behind me. The server comes, looks at the person behind me and gives a big smile, looks at me and frowns. She hands me the menu and asked if I would be ordering to go. I looked at the menu and was very hungry and had read the other reviews and was anxious to order, but the way I was treated made me lose my appetite and I left. By the way, I'm Black and the person behind me was white. So if you love places that treat black people like they're in the 1940's this is the place for you. I'd rather go hungry than spend my money in places like that.

It was our 1st time there. I wanted to take my brother for Father's day. He loved the ribs, I loved the catfish. Excellent food & service on a madhouse day. Can't wait to go on a normal day. Menu always sounds delicious.

Friendly service at a hometown buffet. Fried fish, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, fiddlers, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, fried okra, many pie options…I can’t say enough enough about the friendly service!

For 11.99 a person for the buffet, I was alil disappointed there wasn't really and dessert/sweet options, there's slices of pie on a table just as you walk in but it's $4 a plate, it's not included in the buffet, the fried catfish was pretty good. I felt the green beans had to much pepper and wasn't a fan of the onions in it. Mashed potatoes were fine, and my fried okra was okay until I kept getting either the ends or stems. I will say I really didn't like the passive aggressive signs that are literally everywhere telling you to make sure you eat what you put on your plate to keep the cost of fish down....

Great food and service at a reasonable price! Go for the bottomless fish on Fridays, you'll not be disappointed!

Good food for good price. Went for fish buffet on Friday. All you can eat fish, hushpuppies, and 2 sides. Cost $12 a person.

This is the second time we've been to Sandy's Place. We really like the food. If Lambert's had a limited menu and stopped throwing rolls it would be Sandy's Place, their home style, country cooking is that good. They also have great pie that you can buy for $4 extra, but it's a quarter pie sized slice. The only thing I may be able to say that's a negative is that it is a little loud in there, so if you are noise sensitive you may want to take that into account. We look forward to eating there again when we visit the area.

I don’t know if it was just an off day or what but me and two others were seated by the owner due to being busy and after about 15 minutes a waitress came and took our drink order. After receiving our drinks we placed our order with the waitress. Over an hour later we still hadn’t received any food items nor did a couple other tables that were there before us. This place does have amazing food but if a business is short staffed or can’t full service the entire area. Let people know you’re at full capacity instead of possibly ruining any future visits from those groups. Once we decided we were done waiting and were going to pay for our drinks and leave, the cashier told us not to worry about it.

Dishwasher needs fired. You could literally walk up and see plates and bowls set out for use that obviously weren't clean enough. The food on the buffet looked like it had sat there in the open way too long. Just didn't feel like anyone cared enough for a business that does food.

Rated as a buffet as it was the opposite of fancy. But, the food was good, favorite was the catfish nuggets, and second was the fried chicken. The bad, the big selection makes it easy to over eat.

Delicious food we had the buffet and it had fried chicken, meatloaf, fried fish and more it's like having good home cooking. We will definitely be going back. Can't say enough good things about Sandy's

Wr are a family of 4 & this was our first time eating here. Buffet was full of so many different choices & varieties of that southern comfort food. Food & waitresses are wonderful & friendly. Prices are very reasonable & I recommend grabbing a piece of their delicious pie to finish off your meal! We will definitely be back soon!!

Wonderful down-home eatery with comfort food for the soul. Clean atmosphere as well as excellent food & service. Our waitress kept checking in on us to see if we needed any refills or plates taken away. Very sweet waitress. And the all-you-can eat buffet was amazing. Food was so delicious & fresh. Highly recommend & will definitely be back!

Got here at about 7, place was still packed. Wonderful food, big portions and reasonably priced. Received good service. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Scott City!

Saw a billboard advertising pie and stopped by on a whim on a Friday night on a road trip. Walking in the door we were greeted by a couple tables covered in pie wedges and the smell of fried fish which seemed to be the main attraction for most of the diners. The place was full of locals. It’s wasn’t a pretentious restaurant - painted plywood on the walls and concrete floors. But service was good, friendly, and I couldn’t not believe the prices. I had strawberry rhubarb pie and they heated it and served it with vanilla ice cream. It’s a good thing I don’t live locally or I’d probably be back weekly. Definitely worth the 3/4 or so detour off the highway. I will be back on another road trip through town.

Went for the all you can eat fish and was only given 1 serving and never was asked if wanted more. They weren't busy at the time when finished the fish and sides. We waited a long time for what little we got.

We had the all you can eat fish plate with two sides and it wax wonderful. We will be going back again. They also have a ribeye, salad and baked potato for $11.99 which it's a great price.
