A beautiful beach to walk along! If you want to surf, there are some key spots along this beach. Just a friendly warning... the water is COLD and do be on the lookout for possible sharks!

A nice long beach, it would take a lot to crowd a beach like this. There are no stores and restaurants, perfect for those who just want to surf, swim or sunbathe.

One of Cape Town's hidden gorgeous beaches on the west coast of the peninsula. It's got some of the best views of the ocean and there are reasonably clean public toilets available. One of the treats here is that the waves can get massive, and surfing should be be undertaken by advanced surfers. There are rocks on the coast which makes for great spots to observe the tidal zone. Somewhat sheltered from the wind.

A quiet beach made up of grey and beautiful white sand hidden away in the kommetjie area. The beach is quite long as suggested by the name and is perfect for long beach walks. The wind can be a deterrent as well as the very ice cold water. We visited on a day with 30ยฐC and the water was freezing. The beach is perfect for surfing because the breakers are perfect and should be taken on with caution. Dogs walk on the beach so definitely a plus for dog lovers. The toilets are beautifully looked after but there is NO showers and with the white sticky sand this is a definite minus.

Such a lovely beach to wander anytime of the day. Do stay within eyesight of the locals but no need to be overly cautious. The public toilets are clean and well managed and overall just superb.

๐Ÿ‘ Probably the most varied number of surf breaks in close proximity to each other than anywhere else in the South Peninsula if one includes the breaks between Noordhoek and Scarborough. Long Beach is by far the most popular, but the crowds are horrendous when the surf is firing. Best to look elsewhere...
