Beautiful views and beach 🏖️👌

Not a huge beach but it has a small parking lot, beautiful views! Very much a doggie beach and lots of people walking dogs off lead but seem to be friendly dogs and well controlled. Very peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. Always lovely to be outdoors and watch people enjoying public spaces going for walks or runs or having a swim or playing with their kids.

Ultimate beach for dog owners. Leash free environment and warmer water temperatures of false bay make it such an appealing trip. Restored tidal pool is fantastic due to its sandy bottom. Never overcrowded during off-season. All in all, a not so hidden gem of beach in the deep south.

This little beach is the first thing I see when leaving home everyday so I'm always reminded of how lucky I am to live in the deep South in Cape Town. The beach is popular yet never over crowded, is safe and clean and has convenient parking. It's a favourite for dog lovers like myself and is the perfect place to get some fresh air and enjoy a walk before sunset.

It's wonderful that the tidal pool has been restored. There's a shallow area for kiddies and a big main pool. The people are always friendly. Park at Glencairn station. Access over the railway line and not very easy. No toilets but at least a few bins.
