The service was good, and the Vibe was excellent. I love that we can draw on the tables while we wait for our food. Definitely 5 stars as a tinder date recommendation. However the main courses were almost to be desired, very bland. The dessert however was excellent. I would recommend cocktails and desserts if you go here, to get the most of the experience.

I have been coming to Poncho’s over the years. I was there last night after like two years of lockdown, the atmosphere was good and poppers were great. We had a very good waiter. However, my super burrito was only super in size. The dish was completely bland, almost like hospital food. There were no Mexican flavours in it, just really bland. Not even enough sauce on it. This left me very disappointed with my main course. I come to a Mexican restaurant to experience authentic flavours but this is not what I got last night. Somethings got to give in your kitchen.

I had chicken enchilada and margarita slush. Enchilada was tasty, maybe a bit too crispy. Sauce and cheese paired nicely. One can choose smaller or bigger one, I took smaller one and it was enough. Margarita slush was tasty, but too sweet for me, reminded me the artificial flavors:) but it is nice sometimes for fun. Service was pleasant, quick.

I have had to amend my review. My partner organised for me to take my kids out for a meal to Pancho's as they had a special advertised on their website. When we arrived and were seated we were informed that the special was no longer running despite it being on the website. My partner complained but never even received a response from them. The food is decent but I no longer support this restaurant that won't even engage with customer complaints.

Still the best Mexican restaurant in Cape Town. All items on the menu is full of flavor and mouth watering. Don't forget to add jug(s) of Frozen Margarita to your order, this will definitely complete the experience.

Pancho's was lovely. We tried the starter platter which was ample for 2 people. I expected more of a variety in their drinks offering that would pair well with Mexican cuisine. Seriously though - you cannot be charging R55 for a frozen margarita and serve it in a plastic cocktail "glass"...

The place is situated in busy main road in Observatory. When we are arrived the floor manager welcomed us and asked if we had a reservation. You can make a reservation ahead of time or simply walk in. You can choose to either sit inside or outside by the smoking area. You will find a variety of Mexican options on the menu. All mains are around the same price range. If you choose the R125/R130 option you can choose two fillings. I chose the chilli con carne option and to my disappointment it wasn't chilli at all. Not even a hint of spice. The other half of my flauta was filled with chicken. Even it wasn't spicy the flauta was good. I liked the crispy fried tortilla and it was really filling. The guacamole and the sour cream tasted like lotion. I couldn't eat them. I didn't order a drink because the drink menu was a bit disappointing for someone who doesn't consume alcohol, coffee or soft drinks. The atmosphere was calm. We had to wait quite a long time to order our food but we got the food quickly. Overall it was a good experience.

Sooo delicious! I love a good Mexican meal and this is my go to place. The portions are worth the price, super tasty and filling. The frozen margaritas are a hit and jugs are the best. The yummiest nachos, a super delicious burrito and I love their starters. The staff are amazing, friendly and always assisting. Will always be back!

If I could give 10 stars, I would🤩 Everything about Panchos was perfect, the food, the service, the atmosphere. Not to mention the margaritas, sooo yummy. I have to recommend the mixed margaritas, so sour and juicy🍓🍋 I’m definitely coming back, cannot recommend it enough!

This is such a great restaurant for for authentic mexican food. The restaurant has been serving patrons for a few decades! Thw vibe and atmosphere is great, the decor quirky and food delicious plus such good value for money. The restaurant is made up of various rooms, so you will never feel too claustrophobic. There is a security gate foe added safety. The entrance isn't strictly wheelchair accessible but it is doable up one step. Parking is a bit more of a challenge in the busy neighborhood.

Feels as if I went for a trip to South America. Vibes are great. Very hidden but don’t let that deter you. Food was great, drinks were also really nice. Not too expensive, which is great for a dine or date for students. I definitely recommend their guacamole and chips omg everyone ordered it.

Fantastic Mexican restaurant. Owners managed to squeeze us in on a Friday evening without a reservation. The food was absolutely amazing. Nice lively atmosphere.
