A lovely venue and reasonably priced. The food at Rooibos Restaurant is very nice, but it did take more than an hour to get our food this evening. I think our order got lost between all the takeaway orders. After enquiring about it, the food arrived fairly quickly. The waitress was friendly and the bathroom was clean and neat.

I asked my daughter where she would like to go on a Daddy/ Daughter Date night, she Opted Rooibos. On very short notice I called Paul and asked him if he could set a special Table for the Daddy/ Daughter Date night, and that is just what they did. Thanks Paul and Team for a Super evening with Excellent Service and Food.

As always, good food and priced very well and our waitress did amazingly well with our big table. Bit disappointing that we couldn't see the Springbok test against Whales. No DSTV

Rooibos is great! It's burgers, pizza and ribs, chicken and salads. The service was good and the food was delicious... Big portions and well priced. Was there for lunch and it's also pretty beautiful. Vegetarians will enjoy the choices. There are tv's there for sports if you want to catch a game. Love it and will definitely be visiting there again. They said they have Wifi available but we didn't end up using it, there is a sign though.

Somehow managed to get both or our orders completely wrong. Puzzling considering we were there at a time of day that it was just us and another couple in the restaurant (and their order was wrong also). Inept staff and ultimately mediocre food in a dark atmosphere (at least the broken glass window we sat next to was letting in some light).

Had an amazing time with my family. Bartender is friendly and management is good.

Great ,, !!! no service, tasteful food.....I don't know...,,,atmosphere okay...had to leave on valentines day without being assisted properly. Drinks delivered was wrong and wrong food after 2 hours ???...was it because I was with a man...and I am one two...? nothing special here at Rooibos!! . Very disappointed .....beware.

Horrible service. Did not greet us. We sat at a table for 15min and no one approached us or welcomed us. We went there for a lovely father's day lunch and left with a sour taste of feeling very unwelcome. Will not be returning as this is not the first nor the second time this has happened. If I could give less than one star, I would.

It was our first visit to this establishment. I ordered the sirloin steak special. It was extremely sinewy. Not pleasant at all. The restaurant area was very quiet with only two tables occupied.

Absolutely pathetic service. Waited for our steaks for 2 hours, then only I was told they still need to go buy the steaks. No apology, we had to pay full price for milkshakes we had to sip on for 2 hours. Pathetic. On our way out they were serving steaks to other people. Maybe would have gotten our steaks first if we were of a different ethnicity.

Sirloin and T bone steak on menu. Really felt like t bone only to be told later only Sirloin. Wife ordered pizza and arrives with no rocket and told sorry there isn't any left. They weren't even busy. Never will I put foot in there again.

Overall ok; our coffee was a disaster but was credited off our bill. Unfortunately there was a wait for food although they were quiet....

Please don’t go here for lunch. We went on a Saturday at around 1pm. The place was empty. We ordered a burger and nachos. Wanted chilli poppers on the menu, told out of stock. We waited over an hour for our food, our waitress never even came back to us. Eventually I went in and found her having a chat with other staff. She said the nachos were in the fire oven. You be the judge. The food was just awful, we will never be back.

Decided as our last night in Strand to try Rooibos as it seemed good and it was a family restaurant. When we arrived, there was no one by the door. The waitress was more concerned to finish her chat on her phone than welcome us. She walked passed us without saying a word, turned around and around and asked table for how many people. We were clearly 2 adults and 2 children. They had a limited number of drinks available, and the single beer that was on tap was out of stock. It felt like we were in an episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. There was no one in the restaurant, the but pub had what I supposed was regulars. My daughter wanted to explore, found a kids playing area at the back that was so dirty and probably hasnt been cleaned in weeks, it's not months. There was rubbish laying around, empty beer cans in the kids play area and to top it off, the kids play area was in the smoking area. We decided we are there, let's order some food. We ordered spaghetti bolognaise for our daughter, a pizza for my wife and myself a burger for the list. I hope the bolognaise is for children only, as it was a bland unsalted tomatoe flavoured beef mince with some cheddar on top. I'm assuming they didn't make the bolognaise with some carrots, onions, celery, garlic, smoked/cured pork and optionally red wine. The pizza was some generic fridge base that was undercooked in a pizza oven. How hard is it to make fresh pizza dough the day before. Water, flour, salt and yeast is all you need. Lastly, the burger, besides that stale bread and wilted lettuce, you couldn't taste the whiskey aroma of the so called Jack Daniels sauce. My belief its some generic BBQ sauce that's overly salty and destroys the beef flavour. The patties had onions in them so they were closer to flattened meat balls than burgers. Luckily the burgers itself was cooked to medium rare. The chips were generic McCain steak house fries. While having dinner. We had to go ask in the bar if we could get something more to drink. The waitress was too concerned running up and down for I don't know what with 3 of the 15 odd tables having people. Overall, it was a terrible experience and the place needs to be cleaned ASAP. Also, don't understand how some customers, or regulars, to just go into the kitchen, laugh and make jokes. Think we lived a Ramsay Kitchen Nightmare experience.

Service was extremely great until the owner walked in and started swearing at his staff we immediately decided to leave.
