Epic hidden gem of a ramen bar above the hidden gin bar. Booking essential and not many seats upstairs. Limited menu and super quick to be served our food. We loved the charred cabbage dish & chicken Karaage. But the miso pork ramen was the highlight for me. So flavorful. I slurped I’m down in no time. Loved the homey feel of the place and the music was banging. Like they had switched on my Spotify playlist. Old school RnB & hip hop tunes. Highly recommended.

What a cool place. Bit of a hidden gem above street level. Small menu but perfect fit when done well, like the evening we visited. Location and limited menu (food and drink) could be a deterrent to some but worth the visit if you are able and in the area. Quite romantic dining area, especially candle lit during load shedding. We especially enjoyed the vegetable dishes. Recommend and would return when hungry for house made ramen noodles.

Location is hidden inside the gin bar. The ramen wasn’t bad. Broth was decent and the noodle itself is much better than other competitors in Cape Town. I wouldn’t return though. Not wheelchair friendly. Very dark ambience. The service was exceptional and friendly.

Great! We went during load shedding and the atmosphere and mood lighting of candles was out of a movie! The ramen was all good, although the hand made noodles a little soft for my liking. The service and place itself was nice as well. The appetizers were amazing as well. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Best ramen spot in Cape Town by a long shot. Owner is super cool and friendly. His dishes are delicious and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I have been back too many times to count. Strongly recommend!

I was filled with excitement as I embarked on my first-ever visit to try Ramen. Arriving with high hopes, I eagerly entered the restaurant. Seeking guidance, I approached Kerry, a charming and delightful waitress. She graciously offered a suggestion: the Beef + Kimchi Ramen. To my delight, the Ramen surpassed all expectations. Its delectable flavour was a pleasant surprise, and I savoured every bite. I indulged further by enjoying a delightful dessert, which proved to be a perfect ending to the meal. The ambience was genuinely enchanting, enveloping me in a captivating aura. The decor exuded magnificence, and the staff's unparalleled kindness added to the overall experience.

The food, the fresh noodle quality, the flavors of the chalked down menu at the restaurant changing items for appetizers when the owners want to spice up their a-game in the kitchen are all reasons why you must go here. This is THE BEST RAMEN in Cape Town. You should wake up those claiming three wise monkeys is the best. It’s clearly not. Bodega fan 4-ever

Due to loadshedding, it was a candle lit kuier. Be aware that many of the fried small plates are NOT available during loadshedding! Pretty good food, and excellent broth in the ramen, BUUUUT their small plates could be more reasonably priced. The ramen came with two solid slices of pork & was well-presented. The noodles were small & al dente - I would have preferred softer udon style noodles, but overall it didn't detract from the dish. The karage chicken was crisp, fresh & tasty (needed more kewpie on the side). I absolutely adored the fried cauliflower & would honestly have eaten two helpings of that as my meal had Eskom allowed. You definitely need to book in advance via Dineplan - the place was PUMPING when we arrived. Limited on-street parking even on a weeknight, which seems to be the norm for Cape Town.

What a gem of a restaurant. The menu is small but the food is fantastic. My daughter loves Ramen and she realy enjoyed her meal. Next time I am definitely going to try the tapas. They look delicious. The ice cream sandwich was very different with the black sesame but oh my word it was brilliant. Definitely going back

My first time at Bodega was lovely. Though not a fan of Ramen bowls, I enjoyed the flavours. What was really impressive though was the small plates, I would definitely recommend the chicken and cabbage plates, they were my favorites. We will definitely be back.

I did not know what to expect from Bodega, it was a great experience. I loved the woman who welcomed us. She was friendly and I loved her vibe. My only critique is I would have loved a little more to my portion size ramen.

This is THE place to get Ramen. It’d be a crime to miss their small plates. Small plates are small only technically but the portions are big. Highly recommend the Tofu-Mushroom Ramen, Burnt Cabbage and Korean Fried Cauliflower (last two go really well together). I shall be back.

An awesome hidden little ramen shop in city center! The ambiance is great, such a vibe. dark and lit with candlelights all over the place. But the most important thing is the ramen, I had the spicy sichuan hotspot twice. If you like spicy ramen this is the place u should visit. Egg was good, noodles were fresh and chewy, the eggs were perfectly cooked and lightly marinated, the pickled cucumber was a nice chinese twist to traditional japanese ramen And i'd also recommend the cauliflower if you like korean flavors! The prices are also fair :))))) A hot bowl of ramen after a hike to complete my day, thank u Bodega Ramen Have a blessed day @abusnaakie

What a lovely hidden gem at the heart of the city! This place was recommended by a friend and we would never have found the entrance had someone we knew not shown us the way! The atmosphere is friendly and intimate, the food hearty and the service superb! Definitely a must for Ramen fans! Book in advance.
