The main street with the different colours of houses is something to see. But I suggest to stay in this main street, as we were walking one street down ans the next street up, there was a bunch of small children with sticks that felt like they were going to attack us and rob us. We just wanted to get out of there not wanting to go back. This is a downfall for this area, because Bo Kaap is a must for all to see. What I enjoyed seeing was the Mosques being so close to eachother and pink house with the blue car in the front.

Free visit. Nice neighborhood. Safe. Little shops. Artisanal créations, some artists. Very cute things. The road is perfect for a walk. Very beautiful point of view of the table mountain.

A lovely and colourful neighbourhood in Cape Town. It appears this place has become popular in the Instagram and unfortunately was just full of girls wandering around trying to get the perfect photo and nobody seems to be interested in the history of this neighbourhood. The neighbourhood has some wonderful restaurant gems and spice shops that are rich in history. It is a wonderful place to visit and is a great walk from the V&A waterfront, be sure to grab lunch!

Nice place. A few muggers around but mostly nice people. Don’t take pics of them as they react angry. As I would btw. There is a little cafe around the corner of the Hyatt Hotel. Highly recommend.

Lovely neighborhood, super calm and colorful. Lots of art galleries and small coffee shops. To visit during the day time.

We only drove up and down because it was raining, but the bright, cheerful colors were great! I would have loved strolling around if the weather had cooperated, but even just driving was completely fun and worth it.

It's a block of painted buildings. It's a nice walk in the neighborhood for sure.

Doing the guided tour is very interesting to know the history of the neighborhood. There are mosques, museums, colorful houses are beautiful. There are also restaurants with local food.

Such a colourful street. Amazing when the sun is shining on the houses
