I had accidentally made a booking via Dine Plan at the ground floor Cafe, instead of at the second floor fine dining "Brasserie". Luckily we had an early reservation and so we were seated quickly at the Brasserie instead as there was a table available. Customer Service was impeccable, like a fine dining experience should be, which made us feel incredibly special. There was a nice variety of dishes to choose from. Oyster starter for me, while my husband ordered the risotto. I had the duck, a dish which I love to enjoy, but rarely find offered by restaurants and when offered, seldom done well. The Bailey had the duck perfectly prepared and I was in 7th heaven! My husband had the venison loin... also perfectly done. We decided to treat ourselves and share dessert moving to the upstairs Whiskey Bar. I love that The Bailey's desserts come as a plate of small portions of 5 different treats! We thoroughly enjoyed each tantalising bite. It was a wonderfully romantic evening.

We’ve always wanted to go to the Brasserie for dinner, but it was so hard to get a table at the times we wanted to. We walked by one morning and the bistro was open for breakfast, luckily no booking was required for breakfast and enjoyed our breakfast so much, that we went again for breakfast, but I’ll do the breakfast review later. We finally got a booking for dinner. The night we finally ate at the Brasserie, the experience exceeded our expectations! The food was amazing, we had paired it with great wine. It feels so great to be getting your money’s worth. The service was great as well. I have no complaints at all. It was the 1st Thursday of November and felt very much needed after all that gallery hopping 😅!

We hosted an event here, and it was really amazing. Our clients and staff loved it. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere we created through the entertainment we provided was wonderful. It's definitely a lovely dining experience. Of course, like most venues who host large groups, there's always room for improvement with beverage service, but overall, it was absolutely amazing 👏. They really did put on a good show for us and pulled out all the stops from the beginning to the end.

I'm giving The Bailey 5 stars as it would not be fair to give it less. There were some small issues, but it's very new so I'm sure when the teething period is over, the experience will be entirely superb. I was blown away by the decor. It's a 3 story place, with each floor offering something different while all being beautiful and opulent. You food and drink bill won't be cheap, but when you think how much it cost to create this place, it seems fair. It's a fantastic addition to Bree Street. Our food was mostly top drawer. It was exciting to have the steak tartar made at the table. The chowder doesn't have a 'soup' element, which took us by surprise. The bouillabaisse main (for 2) was epic. Deep and rich in flavour as it should be, and packed with seafood. The venison and steak options did not disappoint. The wine list is good. Even the bottom end had delicious options. The staff (there were a lot of them) were friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.

Bumped into this place on my way to meet a client , they have only been open for 3 weeks and it was a well run operation, the chef sent me an extra boilt egg for my salad, which I really appreciated. Thank you for the great service and yummy salad I will be back for quick lunches at this spot, as I am always chasing the sun and a good meal :)

I love and visit regularly Liam’s restaurants, his food is full of flavour and interesting, while decor is usually well done. At Bailey the feeling is different. While the food is still tasty, the lighting and the decor are slightly off. The building itself has potential, but the black industrial ceiling ruins the mood, as well as the spotlights that are too weak compared to the overly bright chandelier. I think the food is superior to the interior design, which needs to be fixed to create a warm and cozy ambience. It’s still a new restaurant, so I have hopes that it will improve.

Stopped in for some oysters and a snack. I believe this is part of the Chefs Warehouse chain but more casual. Decent spot for a quick bite to eat.

Absolutely loved our dinning experience at The Bailey. The food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make this a truly special meal! We LOVED the mushroom gnocchi, chateaubriand and the eclair. A dinner we will never forget!

Visit The Bailey Brasserie!! Next Level French Cuisine 👌 Absolutely Loved my Pork Belly dish. Perfectly roasted, plated on a sea of blue cheese sauce with a ball of pulled-pork croquet. Garnished with some walnuts...this tasted heavenly 😋.Compliments to the chef and team PS:Also had Beetroot Risotto for starter🔥👍

Amazing restaurant in Cape Town! This was my first time eating lamb rump and it was the most tender piece of meat I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t mind flying 22 hours for this again! The sauce was so flavorful and the quality of meat was just there. I was impressed. I’m still impressed. Well done Bailey!

10/10 for everything. I had the Chicken confit which was absolutely magnificent, and would highly recommend. The side of honey roasted root vegetables were wholesome and cooked to perfection. Everything is just so tasty! Dessert was delicious, and do yourself a favour and order the Chocolate Coupe; it is to die for! Our waiter was kind, helpful and looked after us so well. I will definitely be back!

With so many restaurants in Cape Town, it's often difficult to find one that blows your hair back. The Bailey was one of those select few that I would visit time and time again. It was incredible! The food, the wine, the staff - all wow! This is a perfect date-night place and offers French-style cooking without the pretentious undertone.

The food was so good and the staff so friendly :) The Vietnamese Oysters, the beef tataki and Rosette waffles were super yum! The interior at night time is just yikes, bright spotlights shining on you, no thought put into where the spot lights are pointing, no mood lighting, classic furniture that looks good but out of place against the bright setting
