So the first I went, had brekkie... was great... loved it... This time around... some good and some not so good. Cappuccino... holy wow... incredible... hot chocolate, milkshakes all good... My friend had the nachos... half... loved it I had the pineapple chicken schnitzel stack... loved it... Other friends had variety of pizzas. All good. Except 2 cases... Avo, biltong and fig pizza was ordered. Got a bacon and something pizza. When my friend pointed it out the waiter proceded to say that it was what was ordered. She said she prdered the biltong one and he went away with the pizza, just to bring the same pizza back a few mines later with biltong shavings on top... another pizza had to be ordered after we complained with management. Second case was a bit bizarre where a staple (yes, the ones you use in a stapler) was found on another friend's pizza. When we called the manager, he immediately removed the pizza and brought a new one. Great service on management's part. Besides the waiter's attitude, everything was really great and would definitely go again...

Beautiful location just of the Botterlery road but it feels miles away. Cute little pond with ducks and an amazing play area for the kids with lots of space. Prime location for a children's party. Food is delicious and in big portions. Pizza is cooked with a wood oven. Nice snug inside area for a cold day with a warm fire burning. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Incredible experience overall.

This places food is amazing 👏 The pizza ate all woof fire pizzas. The steak and pork belly meals looked amazing!!! I regret not taking a steak. But ... still very satisfied with my choice of a pizza I made. The play area for kids a good and well maintained. The place also has a good and comfy family vibe. The staff is top notch 👌 I recommend 👌

First experience were my worst experience at saddle Bottelary. When I spoke with the Manager I would give her a 1 for customer service. Waiting period for service and food took more than an hour. Advertising beef burger but selling mince burgers even raw. Food quality very poor. I won't recommend restaurant to any family and friends.

Was great sitting outside in fresh air cool breeze enjoying a most Harty breakfast, very friendly service and very reasonably priced, definitely going again.

We were a bit confused when we arrived at the gate, since there was no explanation on how to enter the place. But eventually the gate opened and we were pleasantly surprised with our find of the day. We sat outside in the shaded area right next to the play area which is equipped with a soft play jungle gym and a small bike track for scooters. The kids enjoyed it a lot and were playing the entire time. We enjoyed the food (Biltong Salad, kiddies pizza, another salad) alot and the kids were keen to go for the dessert: a waffle ice-cream clown. This was a big hit and they ate it up all :) A super family-friendly restaurant with idyllic views, space for the kids and amazing food.

Searching for a mid-level, predictable steak-house sort of place but in a more rustic and rural setting? Look no further than Saddles Steak Ranch on the Bottleray road beyond Kuilsriver. I remember the Saddles franchise from the mid-eighties in the Durbanville area. I think the idea was a better-specced Spur with more generic decor less offensive to an entire nation of original peoples. This place looks like they’ve ripped out the interior in it’s entirety from a folded franchise and plonked it down next to an over-sized duck pond. That said, the menu is perfectly reasonable, the wine list steak house-lite, and the service excellent. Food quality was perfectly fine at the price point. The fourth star is for the delightful service. And the ducks.

One of the best family spots out there. Good restaurant BUT for families with kids its a must. Great play area but also putt put and bike space outside. A real family space and nice for the parents to relax while the kids can play...

Devine, Delicious, Delectable, Mnandi, Yummy, Exquisite are some of the words that come to mind. I had the bread I know it looks like pizza it's not, it has cheese & bacon so tasty and filling. The lamb chops come with a potato salad and braai brotjie which I opted not to have. I have never tasted lamb chops like that they had a citrus/rosemary flavor to it, well seasoned. I had the perfect taste. The place itself my Lord, if you have little one they'd love it, the whole family actually. The owner came over to out table just to check in which topped for me. And lastly Logic our waiter beautiful gave us such awesome service, he was patient, attentive and just fun to be around. I'm coming back I have finally found my it place

Excellent service and lovely food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended for families or groups of friends to meet up and enjoy a filling and tasty meal. They also have some nice craft beers from Saggy Stone on tap, as well as gin and tonic on tap.

What a great experience the drive was amazing and the food delicious. Best breakfast in Town. Love the service and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The playing area for the children is very nice and big. Friendly friendly. highly recommend.

Such a great experience. Desire is an awesome waiter who served us brilliantly. Love the kids play area and being made felt so welcome. The food was also delicious and well priced.

This is still one of my favorite places to go for a quick bite. Their Eisbein was perfect and their burgers are always delicious. The kids play area is definitely used as the kids enjoyed playing there the whole time. So for a nice and quiet, outside the rush of the city. Saddles on Bottelary is a Must!!

I had one not-too-good food (fish) experience here and wasn't interested in going back again, but when I did, I had probably the best steak I've had in several years. It was truly outstanding. The play area for children is a huge bonus - right next to the covered verandah, so that parents of young children can watch their little ones while remaining seated at their table.

The food was good, but the options at the time were limited as many of the ingredients were apparently out of stock - pizzas were not available at lunch time and there were no jalapenos available either. The outdoor seating area was very unpleasant due to all the flies. The kids play area was also disorganized, with tables and chairs stacked around the jungle gym and play area.
