Ordered several masalah steak Gatsbys as well as chicken, I’ve had the full house steak sandwiches as well as hot dogs and steak salomie, I’m yet to try the rest of the menu. I can honestly say I have not been disappointed on any occasion as yet. Finding it quite weird that there are as many negative reviews though. Perhaps those people should stick to eating the bland food they use to. Count me in as a customer for life, would be great if they could expand the menu though 👌🏽😂

Why are you selling food with mouldy rolls? You should consider training your staff on general hygiene requirements. Makes me wonder if your establishment and suppliers has valid R638 certificates. It's absolutely pathetic. This only happening once is one time too many. If your in the food industry

Ordered this evening, it’s soooo expensive for the low quality and lack of care! We had masala steak sandwiches and it was dryer than the Sahara Desert. There was this unpleasant flavourless spicy burn, I’m not sure if that makes sense. I don’t mind hot food if it’s tasty and adds to the dish but this was not the case. The sandwich was so thick, the chips tasted like nothing it didn’t even have seasoning!

Food was okay.. ordered a full house steak gatsby it needed some more sauce and the steak was a bit dry. I suggest you don't choose peri-naise.. Ordered a pure steak curry salomi as well its quite pricey and that steak was also dry😩 We had high hopes.. because there are no really good halaal gatsby places in the area it's a bit disappointing 😕 But home made samoosas are good though👍

I received the worst Salomie I have ever had in my life. I had a bean Salomie, made with baked beans and Sambal mixed in. Imagine vinegar and raw onions mixed into your stew like curry. From my perspective this place has nothing going for it. Not even paper packaging to attempt to be eco friendly. 79 bucks for a hotdog roll sized Bean Salomie, is expensive compared to any other competitor.

I've been a loyal supporter of mariams kitchen growing up in CBD and constantly driving from brackenfell to cbd now that I'm older.. I was blown over the moon when mariams opened in goodwood.. but to be honest you spend 260 bucks on a Gatsby that's half the weight and size of a foreshore Gatsby...you pay for extra saurce and constantly need to remind them you paid for extra so extra it what you want not for them to forget to add entirely happened so many times to me...I still kling to mariams hopping they will come right but I suggest if you look for consistency rather take the drive and go to mariams foreshore....mariams goodwood how are you going to correct this? I extremely disappointed...a 260 rand Gatsby that fills 2 people ...is ridiculous.....this is NOT the mariams way!! I can count the chips on their Gatsby sad thing is mariams does not reply to thier complaints

Second time buying a full house Masala steak Gatsby. The steak was dry and had burn, no flavour. Some chips were also cold? I like hot foods but it needs flavour which this definitely did not have which was disappointing.

On two occasions they've now given me stale gatsby rolls then to make matters worse, they barely put any spice and sauce on which results in a very dry and bland eating experience. Overall I feel Mariam's Kitchen is overrated and overpriced for such mediocre food especially considering their extortionate prices, their Gatsby's should be top tier but it's nowhere near.

Don’t understand all the negative reviews. This is one of the very few places that still understands what masala steak should taste like. They hit the nail on the head. Add a sauce if you want it less dry, but for me, I prefer without. If you want to know what true masala steak should taste like give them a go. People that are commenting negatively have no idea what they are talking about.

Masala steak gatsby: very little steak, very dry and tons of mushy steamed potato chips. So underwhelming for the price will not try again for the next few years
