Incredible food and great service! Has a wonderful view as well. Was Incredibly busy but didn't feel the crowd, waiter was attentive and food quick and delicious! Well priced for what you received. We ordered the Kalk Bay Platter for R690. But you can check out the menu and prices on their website. Definitely recommend

This 40 year old Restaurant is a amazing get-together spot. One of our favourites. Food cannot be better (we had the famous fish & chips) Service very good. Although parking in Kalk Bay is always a challenge we manage a close by spot, without trouble. We always return 😁

Very nice and awesome seafood. Great vibe. For starters we had the mussels (incredible) and squid heads. For mains we had prawns and the hake and calamari. Everything was delicious! My favourite was the mussels. Our friend had oysters which were also yummy. I recommend making a booking to sit downstairs where you can see the waves crashing against the window.

Food was fresh and tasty and our waiter was lovely. We were seated in the bar area so we didn't get the amazing 360 views you usually get when seated in the middle, but the experience was still great and we did have some good ocean views.

Tasty food. Dog friendly. Cool venue. I like that you are seated so close to the sea, however I think it’s very over priced for what you get. The place isn’t what it used to be a decade ago. If you can imagine a pub in the sea then That’s what this is. Above average view. Average food and decor.

Always love coming here .... the seafood is fresh and oh so delicious... the service is great and quick and the staff are always friendly. The place is huge so there is always a table available to sit at...the views of kalk Bay Harbour are phenomenal and there is a Tidal pool attached to the restaurant where the waves crash over creating a beautiful relaxing setting 😎 😀 😊 this restaurant is a must when u visit kalk Bay

There was always talk about this gem in Kalk Bay and ended up here for dinner. Unfortunately part of the restaurant was affected by a recent freak wave but still open for business. The views are breathtaking and situated right on the sea where you can have a clear view of the water with some boats and surfers. Brass Bell was so unique in every sense. The food was amazing, well prepared and well worth the value for money. If you have not been here, make a trip and you will not regret it. Will be back on my next trip to CT. For sure a must for tourists.

The most delicious curry fish for a cold day. The restaurant was clean and the service very good. Enough space between customers and very tranquil atmosphere. If you love the ocean, you will truly enjoy this experience.

The Happy Hour cocktails on tap were definitely a highlight for us. These were enjoyed while looking out at a spectacular view of the ocean - we even saw dolphins! The relaxed environment allowed us to enjoy a calm afternoon sippin’ on delicious drinks.

Excellent service, great views, and amazing half price sushi... They even went the extra mile with some balloons when they heard we were celebrating my daughter's 15th birthday party... Excellent all round experience!

Love the 1/2 price sushi deal at The Brass Bell! Don't know where else you can enjoy views like this & spoil the whole family to a great sushi meal that is still friendly on the pocket. Thanks Brass Bell! We'll be back.

We were seated in the bar on the right, the one with the Tiki vibes. After being seated, by one of the 3 hostesses on duty, we were left dry-mouthed hoping for service. When a bartender finally appeared, no waiters, we were finally able to order. One table got fed up and left. Others walked to the bar to order. After dropping our order all over the bar counter, another 10mins wasted for 3 beers & a G&T, the manager drop our drinks off. She seemed to be the manager. No hostess assisted in clearing tables or running drinks. We managed a second round, only 20min wait, but soon decided to leave. When queried, the reasoning was that everyone was setting up for a function, so screw the waiting patrons. Not great.

Enjoyed their burger and chips and ice cold beers.

The views are quite nice while dining. However, the music playing was so loud I couldn't hear my partner speak at all... I asked a waiter to turn it down just a little only for the next song to be blasted again. The table we were served at was very sticky. The waitress got my order wrong. Really disappointing experience..

This is not a super fancy place but is great for a satisfying meal with great views and awesome staff. Enjoy their tidal pools as well, it's always a good time.

Dog-friendly! We had a fantastic lunch and delish wine. Mussels, oysters, fish and calamari topped off with a watermelon, feta and olive salad. A real feast. Our waiter, Alister, was attentive and friendly. This old favourite is still going strong! Well done and thank you.

Such a special restaurant with amazing food and views. I've had a wide range of their menu and would recommend all of it, however I always feel like fish and chips by the seaside is the perfect combination. Their drinks are also divine with yummy cocktails. Service always comes with a smile and is very efficient. This is definitely a must if you are going to Kalk Bay!

Seafood platter was really great! Views are spectacular. Brass Bell never disappoint. Please just clean the sand in the kids area. Full of sigaret buds, bottle tops and even glass.

Very good muscles in the lobster sauce 🦞 I had to try it as soon as I saw it. It's slightly tomatoey, creamy and has a light flavour. When you dip the bruschetta in, you're in heaven! Service was a little slow and not very attentive. The place was a bit quiet. Plenty of seating! Not very cheap, but fair for a good meal.

You are getting food with a VIEW !!! You will have incredible views to choose from, whether you want to look at the green lush mountain scape or the blue Atlantic Ocean you will have a lovely view. When the sea is rough or high tide is at it's peak you will see the waves slam against the tidal pool next to the restaurant. The food will have you talking for days after the visit. Choose from all varieties: breakfast, burgers, salads, tapas, sushi and even tofu Sip on a beer, wine or mocktail. Come and have fun !

With so many restaurants to choose from I found myself back at the brass bell. I was not disappointed. Wonderful food and awesome views right on the ocean!

Visited Brass Bell last night for a light snack and decided on sharing the Margarita pizza. Wow!! Best we have ever tasted In fact, it was so delicious that we tried their garlic and herb one as well. Just as fab!! It came with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and a small pot of tzatziki. Absolutely delightful.. We ended off with latte's which were as excellently made as the pizzas. If that wasn't enough - and indeed the cherry on the cake - was the waiter, Robb, who offered impeccable service at all times. Keep up the high standard. Will definitely be back.

Visited Brass Bell today. Superb location. Ordered steak - big mistake. The presentation and quality of it was EXTREMELY POOR. The service that we have received from the waiter was professional and friendly. Will maybe just visit them for drinks again.

It is some time ago - and with this pandemic still ongoing it might be some time until I'll be able to visit "The Brass Bell" again. But I miss it. The food is excellent, the service friendly and fast and the view, especially from the bikini deck, is stunning. I can't wait to see you again guys :)
