The waiter was super friendly, explained quite well the menu. They have happy hour free cocktails when you buy one you pay half price. I quite enjoyed their 3 course winter special. But the prices were different from the one's on their website. I really loved the atmosphere, where I was seated I could easily see the Signal hill and the harbour.

Excellent! Top quality food! I ordered a sirloin steak and it is one of the first places where they served it perfectly medium-well. My husband had Hake-filet and it was very well seasoned and tender. Dessert was excellent! A very tasty chocolate fondant. Service was espectacular! Our waiter, Prince, was very kind and friendly. He recommended us the best red wine we ever had: De Grendal. Very recommendable!

Incredible sushi! Super fresh, attentive service and lovely to see the hustle and bustle of the Waterfront get back to normal. Great views of boats and ocean too if you sit outside.

Wow. This used to be such an Amazing restaurant. Absolutely shocked by how the standard has dropped. The sushi was the level of all you can eat cheap Chinese take away sushi. Avoid at all costs. You rather go to Sushi box for a fraction of the price. The chopsticks were also the cheap ones you get at the cheapest restaurants. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this place

Very noisy at night, very crowded. Especially on the terrace. Service is slow. Messed up the order. Rolls from the Elite section were so-so, in the nearby Willoughby it is much tastier. Shrimps are better in Baia. I would recommend visiting another place.

So fresh and so good! Same owner and similar menu as Grand Pavilion (in Sea Point). Loved the ceviche and the beef carpaccio! Server was also very attentive. Highly recommend if you’re in the V&A waterfront area

Highly enjoyable evening spent at Sevruga. Atmosphere is sublime, & the staff tremendously helpful and professional. Portion and excellent food quality justifies the expense. Menu could do with one or two more items per section for variety. Recommend sticking to their regular dishes and avoiding the specials - I had the special and it felt a bit disjointed, but still tasty. Their set menu is very delectable and sushi is top notch. Desdert fell a bit flat, as very plain and one-dimensional in both flavours and texture.

Sevruga is such a delight. After being disappointed by another establishment, we made a last minute booking for lunch & they accommodated us. Our waiter, Freddy, was amazing. So attentive, kept our glasses full & was just very pleasant. The restaurant was very busy but the service was still impeccable as the waiters were on the ball. The food came to us quickly; it was fresh, delicious and the portions were generous. We had sushi, the seafood pasta (which had lots of seafood), the fish special & some chardonnay. We will definitely be returning soon.

It was my first time there, took my wife for some dinner for our 6th year anniversary and could not have decided on a better restaurant for this occasion. The food was out of this world amazing, kudos to the chef and the welcoming staff of Sevruga Restaurant. Thank you for allowing us to have a memorable evening with you guys. 10/10 would go there again.

Splendid! Came here as last ditch place and it was exactly what we were looking for. I got the sushi and gazpacho and they were great. The service was great and the place was clean and nice view of waterfront. What a great vibe.

Came here for dinner with my colleagues, unfortunately I don’t eat seafood nor am I a fan of red meat, so I had the vegan pasta and dessert (I forgot the name but the picture is attached). The food was okay but the service was great. I also forgot our waitress’s name but she was amazing and managed to handle a group of 17 people really well.

Location and atmosphere is good right on the water in V&A waterfront, bit busy at times. For the price you pay (R1000 avg per head accross a group of 8 for starters, mains and a couple of drinks/glasses of wine) one would expect top notch food and service. The seafood, sushi, oysters were average to good. The steak was disappointing, thin tough cuts, which is going to end up little over done, la ked flavor. I didnt have a scale but definitely didnt seem like the weight of the meat slice matched the advertized weight. The service with a default 10% service fee and a deposit required for a large group, was average to slightly disappointing. Had to call our waiter a couple of times with dry throats, no checkin on food, food arriving in drips and drabs. For the location in V&A id expect to pay more, but at R1k per head I would expect the food quality and service to match the price which it did not. It left me and my guests a bit disappointed to be honest, wondering of we should have gone elsewhere.

Probably one of the best services I've received at a restaurant....ever! Amazing food. The view over the harbour is so soothing. Not my first time going there and definitely will go back.

Amazing atmosphere, the settings and the decorations are beautifully put out. Quick service, even with the new curfew laws. Nice Harbour view on the open side. Love that they have specials and half prices. Food was delicious and well presented.

Sevruga in the bay area serves up fresh seafood and sushi with a nice view of the marina. The atmosphere is classy, but the prices are high and service can be hit-or-miss. Great for a special occasion if you're focusing on the food and the scenery. The sushi is excellent, offering a fresh and creative selection that is served beautifully, alongside an impressive wine list that caters to various palates. However, the steak misses the mark, lacking in flavor and texture, which can be a letdown considering the price point. While the seafood and sushi are the stars here, steak lovers might find their experience falling short of expectations. The menu includes an extensive wine selection that highlights South Africa’s renowned vineyards, featuring both well-known labels and hidden gems. Guests particularly appreciate the local Cape Winelands offerings, allowing for perfect pairings with sushi and seafood specialties.

We want as a group of 4 people, arriving in 2s. It was the rugby and the waterfront and restaurant itself was packed at 3pm. However by like 4pm it was emptied and first impressions really count. 1, we did not receive any complimentary bread for the table. 2. Service was rather slow and while professional it just lacked any memorable elements by the waitron. The food was good, however, to point #2 one would expect the mention that mains do not come with any sides and there isn't a side option on the menu either. The steak was slightly overdone though but not badly so. As a first impression, perhaps their speciality is sushi and seafood but there are better places in the restaurant if you are looking for a good dining experience.

We went here for our company team lunch yesterday (08 Dec 2023). The food was absolutely amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals, no complaints. The portions are very generous. The restaurant is beautiful and has some great anesthetics. The only issue I had was that it was quite packed, very loud. But that doesn't take away from the great time we had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant 👌🏾

Best ceviche and sushi I’ve had in AGES!!! And Pat was an unbelievable waitress, she is the best!! She gives you detailed explanations of everything on the menu, listens carefully to what you want and points you to the right direction to exceed your expectations. I’m definitely coming back and telling all my friends about this place!

It has a beautiful setting. The food was okay with decent portions. I had sushi, the rice could have been cooked a bit more. Overall, it's a great place with great waiters.

Best Sushi I had in Cape Town. The food is fresh and delicious and the service was really good. Overall a great experience. We ended up staying longer than we thought coz it was that much enjoyable. I would come back again and again and again. Will definitely return when back in CT.

This place has the best food. The quality and presentation is perfect. Staff are friendly. We went there at every opportunity during our 3 week visit. The Thai styled oysters are a perfectly balanced dish. All our capetonian friends also agreed this place is the best. Also provide high chairs, which was quite a challenge for us. Anywhere which was considered slightly upmarket to eat failed to have high chairs. Thankfully, Sevruga did.

The food was excellent and the service too, once we got in. It was frustrating being asked to wait while other customers without a reservation for tables because they happened to speak with a different member of staff. It was very noisy at times because of a few customers but still a pleasant environment for a meal.

What a wonderful venue located at the V&A Waterfront that balances good food with excellent service. The place is seafood focused and they know what they are doing. They stick to mainstream dishes rather than anything experimental which shows that they know what their customers want. Seating is decent and also caters to wheelchair users. Toilets are clean and acceptable. Recommended dish is the Kingklip which really brings out its flavour.

Had quite a lovely evening out at Sevruga. Staff were amazing and 5he ambiance great too. The food was delicious and the special of R235 for 3 courses was amazing. It was real value for money. The courses were served quite quick with little time to breathe but overall a great time was had.

Great to know that my review got ignored.. Before you get wrong impression, the food was good. Sushi tastes great and was fresh. Cocktails are nice. The waiter were also nice. Reason for the 2 stars is as follows. (Was mid day and not very busy at all) 1) we arrived and was escorted to our table and the waiter said he would bring us menus and 15 min later still no menu. 2) we were helped by another waiter and placed our order of cocktails. We wait 20 min and still no cocktails, I went to the bathroom and saw our 2 cocktails just sitting at the bar melted... We then received the same cocktails which were half melted at this point. 3) the table were we were sitting at was rather dirty, the floors had bits of stuff around them. 4) the cutlery was also dirty, which put me off...

Me and my husband love trying new places and we decided to visit Sevruga Restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day, which was definitely a good decision. We were seated on the terrace section with the spectacular view of the harbour and the interior of the restaurant was so beautiful. Me and my husband enjoyed a 2 course meal that was both so delicious and their cocktails was refreshing and lovely. We both absolutely enjoyed it. The waiter was really kind and friendly. This is definitely a place I would go back to and would recommend anyone to visit this beautiful restaurant.

The place has simple yet elegant decorations, the service was awesome ohhhh and the food amazingly delicious from the starter, to the main to dessert wow and the portions are quite generous. The only reason I'm not giving 5* is that the ice cream was melted and a bit on the icy than the creamy side

This place is a pleasant spot has some yummy food and tasty cocktails. The look and feel is interesting not my fave but I’m sure some people love it. The toilets are clean and well kept be careful if you tall you might hit your head as it’s low. The waiters are helpful and be friendly and well trained. The floor manager always seems out of breathe and very busy not a nice feeling to walk into that. They have some great deals so if you on a budget check it out.
