They just finished renovations and I must say it's worth it. You get amazing views on the balcony. Just be aware that they have 2 different menus for upstairs and downstairs .. we chose downstairs so we could sit on the terrace. I enjoyed the signature dish - sea bass in coconut rice with some chilli (exquisite!!), my friend ordered the rib eye and it was equally tasty and the other friend had the prawn sushi. For dessert we shared the molten chocolate cake with ice cream (exquisite). What's there not to love here? The service, the location, the food are just perfect!!!!

Enjoy sundowners and seafood here to start off your evening or night in Cape Town. I visited for the the first time by accident two years ago and made a point to make it my first stop on my next visit, and I did. The oysters were just as fresh as I remembered them and the staff were as attentive and friendly as always. In fact, the staff are a big reason for my 5 STAR rating. We were very fortunate to be hosted by the all so courteous Fortunate.

Walk in 3 course lunch on a Thursday for 2. Busy Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely waterfront views. Good decor and service. Food is yum and well presented. One of my dishes however lacked flavour and there was a menu item that was not available. The Eton Mess was not well balanced - or should I say not to my liking as it was too sweet. Requested cream to bring down the sweetness and was served a white chocolate cream. Wouldn’t mind giving Harbour House a second go.

Fine dining restaurant by the V&A Waterfront Sea Harbour. The food is expensive but worth every cent I had thee best Sushi and we throughly enjoyed our meal and the views. The staff is a bit slow but I guess the ambiance makes up for it.

I sat outside because it was quite a hot day, the day I went. Probably wasn't the best decision as the people who offered boat rides (next to the resturant) were yelling and enticing customers to take boat rides, a little too loudly. So in case that would bother you, it's something to take into account and maybe opt for indoor seating. But aside from this, I had a really great time. The service from my waitress (Ruva) was top notch and the food (both presentation and taste) was divine. It offered an affordable fine dining experience.

with the exception of the usher the service was overall very professional and great. the food as always very yummy n delicious, even though it's an upper class place the portions are big, which is not common. superb view and perfectly located @the center of VW waterfront. the place itself is very modern l, mostly made of wood & glass. for like 7 years now it's always a pleasure to return.

The host was very incompetent and unwelcoming. The waiters were friendly. The setup was beautiful but seating was congested. The food was plated beautifully but tasted average.

First time visitor to the restaurant, the service is mediocre. The waiter is always in a hurry. No bread for starter. I ordered scallops it took 40 minutes to bring the plate and they were burnt. The waiter never asked me what I am having for main course I had to call him to order. The main course took another 1 hour since ordering the food fish was disgusting, the prawns not bad. 0 star to this restaurant But the view on the Barbour was good. I did get a call from management to apologize for the bad experience from Chantal which I do appreciate

Beautiful restaurant on the ground floor. Stunning views but terrible service. Waited over an hour to receive starters at 4pm on a Saturday. Restaurant was not even at full capacity. The Manager did not take requests or complaints seriously. But just ignored us. Pathetic service for price paid for meals. Waiter did not give us feedback on meals and waiting time. Not worth the price or visit at all. Don’t waste your time with this pretty place if you actually want to eat.

Completely enjoyed eating at this fantastic restaurant. Location is great, right on the waterfront, with a great ambiance. Servís was outstanding, food quality was excellent and the taste was delicious. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Everything was great at this place. You must try it!

The atmosphere, staff and food were all incredible. The lighting, decor and music made for a very calm environment that you could easily lose track of time. The staff was attentive but gave enough time between checking in to allow for a relaxing environment. My highlight was the death by chocolate tart but everything else I had was a very close second. The only downside was that we sat at a table that was a little unstable but to be fair we did ask to be seated there so it does not fall on the restaurant. I would 100% recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going again.

We enjoyed a fabulous evening here as a group of about 20 with a fabulous menu and superb service. Evelyn was our main server and was friendly and helpful throughout. Thank you! My mussels starter gave me the biggest mussels I’ve ever eaten. I chose the vegan king oyster mushroom main - delicious - and my chocolate tarte dessert was super too. Thanks to all of the team.

The evening at Harbour House was exceptional. We opted for the whole claviature: starter consisting of great sushi and fresh mussels, followed by excellent fish and for dessert a great dessert of chocolate cake with lava and sorbet. But all this also requires attentive and professional service. Kay-Lynne outdid herself. She provided us with an extraordinary selection of wines. Whether for the fish, the dessert but above all through the range of options. We will certainly visit some of the wine estates in the next few days, THANK YOU Kay-Lynne for this evening at Harbour House Cape Town. We will see you again.

We've been coming here for years and it's a great venue for both lunch and dinner if you're around the waterfront area. The food is excellent and service is overall good, but you need to plan ahead when ordering. Attention from service ebbs and flows... we didn't get the wine we ordered with our mains until well after they were served on this visit for example. They will accommodate children fantastically, don't have an official kids menu, but rather cater to specific tastes.

My review of Harbour House V&A Waterfront is almost a year late but I just had to leave one! As soon as my partner and I walked through the door, we were welcomed with friendly service and amazing atmosphere. We were seated swiftly and were brought probably the best bread I have ever tasted with a stunning mixture of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip. 5 stars definitely does not do the food justice! We enjoyed every dish that was served and could taste the love and passion with which everything was made. Our dinner at Harbour House was the highlight of our holiday and we’ll be sure to visit again! A year later and we can’t stop thinking about it 🥰

Tourist attractions throughout the year. Even though Capetown is known for 4seasons in 1 day 😊..it's a day to enjoy yourself alone or with family, waterfront has many activities of which I thoroughly enjoyed the boat trip for 90 minute sunset cruise. Super amazing trip. Seeing the sunset is an awesome moment and feels like you want to keep going on boat trips. The sea is beautiful with its beautiful scenery. A trip I recommend anyone to enjoy. A variety of restaurants to choose from. A fun filled environment and amazing atmosphere. Make that trip today.🤩I did. See my pics 💖

I recently dined at the Harbour House restaurant and had the pleasure of being served by Kayla. The experience was exceptional from start to finish. Kayla provided great service, attending to our needs with a friendly and professional demeanor. The food itself was a highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered tasted amazing and was presented beautifully. It was evident that the kitchen takes pride in their culinary creations. Moreover, the service was remarkably swift. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and Kayla ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable throughout. When I got cold, I was offered a little blanky to keep me warm. Overall, my visit to Harbour House, with Kayla as our server, was a delightful experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and impeccable service.

My husband and I had such a great experience at Harbour House. Our incredible waitress Esona provided us with the best service I’ve ever received before and the food was so amazing with good value for money in my opinion. The seafood was sensational. They sat us right away and all the staff was friendly. Our Waitress was great! She took the kids orders while taking our drinks order so they were fed and happy by the time our food came. All the food was TASTY!

I had a fantastic experience at the Harbour House at V&A Waterfront. We had a reservation but were late due to our Robben Island Tour being longer than expected. However, the hostess was gracious enough to accommodate us still. We received excellent service and recommendations from our waitress Esona. Seriously, everything she recommended for us to try was divine! We tried the Salsa Verde Kingklip and Spicy Prawns….chef kiss! I highly recommend you make a reservation right now!
