Stunning location for a laid back lunch. Our daughter had to dash early though and our waiter Godfrey made a special effort to ensure she had her meal before she left. The food was tasty and portion sizes generous. The chef grilled the steaks exactly as ordered for each person and the Pategonian calamari was of the better I have had. I would have given a 5 star rating except that the lamb shank was dry to the point of being chalky

Beef filet was like butter in mouth. Delicious. Béarnaise was a hit too. Great red wine. Lovely terrace!

Always a wonderful visit to Simon's. Ample parking, attentive and friendly staff. The venue is warm, welcoming and spacious between tables. Ideal for private events. The meals and drinks are expensive so be prepared to spend a little extra but one would expect nothing less from Constantia and its immediate surrounds. Elegant and dreamy.

We had tea and cake in the garden. Delicious carrot cake. Beautiful views. Friendly service. Dog friendly. A lovely restaurant in the winelands. Updated January 2024: We managed to get a table for New Years brunch - perfect after our forest walk and many other restaurants were closed.

Great venue amongst the green vas vineyards of Groot Constantia. Chilled vibe. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors and enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace..The restaurant is quite busy but one can enjoy the buzz and not be overwhelmed by noise. Our mains were good..starter portions maybe a bit too small. It was tasty though. Decor inside restaurant is quirky, but maybe need an update.

Attended my year end function here. It's not halaal but my food was ordered from a halaal supplier and served separately. Their bar one chocolate and New York baked cheese cake was divine. It was lovely seeing colleagues after 2 years in a lovely venue that had outside seating and Covid measures in place.

Simon's is set amongst beautiful, rolling hills and is ensconced in so much lush greenery. It's a great place for a sunset dinner particularly during summer. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating- both holding large capacity - and the decor is tasteful in keeping with the overall atmosphere. The food is delicious and I found the portions to be decent. Added on is some great service which makes this a very pleasant dining experience. Simon's is pet friendly, which is great for pet owners but not for diners who could be subjected to unruly pet behaviour. Directions to Simon's can be tricky so follow your navigator closely if it is your first time.

What a beautiful location!! The staff are friendly and amazing. The breakfast menu is varied, so it appeals to all tastes. The only down side is that I couldn't stay long enough to have lunch, which, by the description of today's specials is absolutely mouthwatering!! Oh yes!! The decor is lovely (including the ladies bathroom!!!)

Beautiful venue and restaurant. Food wasn't up to par though. Food quality could be better. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with an extra mushroom sauce as the waiter advised the chicken is dry. Chicken was dry alright, mushroom sauce was more beefy and the chips were cold. I just don't think the prices for the foods they offer are worth it, they are way over priced. Glad i got to see the ducks though😄

Absolutely stunning at Simon's. They were exceptionally busy yet managed to accommodate us. Godfrey was an excellent waitron, food and the Chardonnay were superb 👌 highly recommend a visit to Simon's at Groot Constantia. Oh.... and their carrot cake is to die for 😍

We thoroughly enjoyed a special Mother's Day meal at Simon's. Excellent service from Memory and the team. The Groot Constantia Rose was an extremely fair price. Lovely to get cellar prices at the restaurant. The food was utterly delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. Fabulous decor and ambience. The entire evening was a delight. For the vegans there is a terrific menu, due to be updated on 16 May 2022. Liesl is committed to ensuring that vegans get great options on the menu. We'll be bringing our international guests here soon!

Hi there, Wonderful place, and there was a LIVE music artist: Clare Webster. Her voice was amazing, the restaurant was amazing! You guys must definitely go check it out.Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Best with family and friends. Can definitely stay for three hours (with good company haha) Food and service was great, although they had a WiFi problem (cellular network is really bad) but they did fix it at the end. Anyhow, cheers.

Not the greatest value for money! Most of the food really did taste great, even if somewhat over priced for the size of the portions. That is except the most expensive dish at the table the lamb which was not just over cooked but we suspect might have even been reheated from the day before as it was dead and bland. We were very disappointed when we ordered three salads for the table and each person ended up with half a slice of cheese and half a slice of tomato. Really! R78 for Caprese with only three slices of tomato and two slices of cheese on a plate! Nah I don't think so! The staff were also not very perceptive delivering a shared cheese platter with no side plates or cutlery we ended up scavenging cutlery from another table even though waiter buzzed past us without assisting. Not something that should happen in restaurant of this class. It took about an hour and a quarter for our mains to arrive after the very meager sharing of salad. I am tempted to only give one star but the venue is really wonderful, the staff very courteous and friendly. As I said the rest of the meals were very tasty. I really enjoyed the pork belly. Best crackling I have ever had, but just not enough food on the plate. Maybe you are paying to enjoy the venue and the music, that was maybe playing just a touch too loud at times for normal volume conversation.

The best location and wonderful ambiance. However, the food was disappointing. I think they need to focus on the menu and flavour of their meals.

Food wasn’t as nice as I wished. Lacking in flavour, it’s quite average. The atmosphere is great! Good vibe, sometimes live music is provided. Service is is very average and highly dependent on who serves you. I’ve previously had good experience with service, this time the waiter called my food choices “weird”.

The wine tasting and tour were very enjoyable. Their bagel had the greatest bacon I've ever had. Unsurprisingly, the views were stunning as hell.

Spectacular picnic setting. Loved the lush vineyards. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We were there on Sunday for my birthday and the live music added a special touch.

Lovely place. Gorgeously situated. Summer afternoon favourite venue. Serves excellent sweet potato chips and huge cheesecake slices which makes me very happy. Server could have been a bit more upbeat.

The views are breath taking, the atmosphere was very calm and peaceful, and the wine was delicious. Loved the picnic experience, although the portions of food could be better, there weren't enough crackers for the cheeses and meat.

Beautifully decorated and well layed out venue. It has such an old school charm about it. The cooked food however was quite normal, slightly underseasoned and a bit dry. The oysters with their mcc was the pick of the dishes. The croissant wasn’t good at all and the cheescake just ok. I hoped the my experience would be better with more enjoyable food, and seeing that I usually stay nearby I will try this again.

Went there for our company end of year function, it was the picnic baskets out side. Nice location and everything ran smoothly. Food was decent too. Long line to the toilets was the only thing that was negative

We had our staff party here. Awesome place. The staff is friendly and had us in stitches with her beautiful attitude. I wish I could remember her name. I'm taking my family there for a meal. Beautiful surroundings. It was memorable. Thank you to all at Simons.

On a trip to Cape Town, I visited this gem. Nestled in the vineyards of Groot Constantia, the surrounds were unparalleled. We were served by such a warm and professional waiter. Food is great - try the chips! Lots of vegan food and I had the vegan burger which was outstanding. Apparently the beef burgers are also very tasty. Its worth a visit.

Tucked away on Groot Constantia Wine Farm, Simon’s has enough tables to seat a garrison and the waitrons to match. The food and service are outstanding and the setting is hard to beat. Live music on Sundays too, very festive!

Such a stunning restaurant situated in Groote Constantia. Very friendly staff and the wine tasting is exceptional. The waiter also explained the wines very well and made some good recommendations. After our lunch we did some reading at lawn.

A stunning place to sit for hours and chill. Great food. Great wine selection. Stunning scenery. A new favourite place for me to spend days sitting and working in the sun, and ending the day with a drink and dinner after dark when the lights go on. On a day with good weather, you couldn't ask for a nicer spot.
