Updated review: I had a terrible first experience and the general manager contacted me to apologize for the incident. But when we went back on the weekend and made a booking for the Spanish brunch and it was only a minor upgrade. There were tons of miscommunications between the server, hostess, and the manager. They kept thinking I wanted the manager to come and explain the menu. The food took a long time and was cold. I understand that they have tapas but the set menu of two tiny portions of egg and paella was not sufficient for brunch for 190rand. I really wanted to change my mind about this place but didn’t wanna lie. I appreciate them making an effort to comp our meal to make amends for our first group of 12 but two strikes and I won’t be coming back.

Really good stuff here. The food was good, we got some salads pasta poke pork buns and desserts, all delicious. The vibe was great as well, fun atmosphere with nice staff. Definitely recommend.

Loved the cocktails and ambience. The service was quick and the restaurant wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a medium to well done lamb rump but what I received was well done. I explained this to the waitress but nothing was done other than her justifying why I received a well done lamb rump. However, overall the food was good.

La Parada is definitely more of a meat-eaters experience, however their mushroom pasta was devine and had some good variation. We were a big group, but service was lengthier than to be expected for one or two single drinks ordered.

The 3 stars for effort. The vibe outside was quite nice. The place is located in a very perfect spot and hard to miss when passing. We just popped in for cocktails and tapas before we started painting the town red. First time in a while that I'm served with a mojito with crushed ice. Big-ups for that. My friends also enjoyed their cocktails. But for 6/7 pieces of calamari R105? Then it's over-fried also? I was very disappointed in that, because I was looking forward to it. The poppers was okay.

A REALLY BAD SPANISH FOOD WITH A REAÑLY OLD FASHIONED DECORATION WITH TOROS AND FLAMENCO EVERYWHERE Really expensive for the food they offer . This lind of place need to start realizing that this days the tourists know much more about food and that we are not just tourists Good spot to maybe have a beer or a wine but not for eating

Great specials and lovely service. Location is also great for a break in the city. I love the de-alcoholised wines and the tapas. Gets busy on first Thursday!

Decided to go all out and have a 3 course meal. For starters i had the grilled prawns and grilled calamari which were absolutely delicious as always. I had the absolute lemonade to drink which was nice and sweet. For mains I had the mushrooms pasta with bacon added and my friend had the prawn pasta. Both were amazing but bare in mind the prawns ans the prawn pasta are both quite spicy so if you can't handle spice I'd recommend the mushrooms pasta rather. The staff were amazing we were served by Tim and the managers both came to us to make sure we were happy with everything which made us feel extra special. Definitely gonna become a regular spot

Whether it's Century City, V&A or Bree Street. La Parada always delivers on customer service and delicious, quality food at reasonable prices. Their Waygu beef burger is a must try in my book.

A bit more expensive compared to other restaurants, but the beef and mushroom pasta were delicious. The next day we came back and I ordered the shrimp pasta and unfortunately it was VERY spicy (and the menu didn't mention chili peppers).

Amazing tapas with fantastic service. Everyone we met on entering La Parada were very friendly and welcoming. The food didn't take long to prepare and was super tasty.

Nice service, fair price and in general good food. We liked everything we order (patatas bravas, croquetas & bikini sándwich) but the mussels, the sauce was amazing but the mussels itself were pretty bad… 🙃

The food was really good. Couldn't give it 5 stars because the croquettes didn't look fresh at all and the peppers were really small. The rest of the food was really good, the bravas were so similar to Spanish bravas in flavour so they do really well with flavours. Customer service was amazing. The waitress was looking after us non stop and every time the glass of sangria was empty, he filled it up straight away.

They had a tapas special, purchase 5 for R350 which was absolutely value for money and just super delicious. Highly recommend the duck croquettes and poppers. Service was also good and just a really nice vibe. Highly recommended! Not child friendly. Sustainability: they had biodegradable straws.

My partner and I joined a large group on Sunday and naturally, ordered from the bar. Awesome bar service however the manager seemed to be all over the place. I had to explain how the two for one special works about three times. What really ticked us of was the food. A veggie bowl? Have a look at the picture. R75, are you serious?

We ate there twice and it was delicious. The restaurant is just 5mins to walk when you're staying in or near the Holiday Inn so it's a perfect spot to eat and drink something in the evening!

Another lovely place in Cape Town! Came here on a lovely evening and had the opportunity to sit outside. What a positive experience. Greetings and service was professional, prompts and so friendly. Local beers on tap, nice, and very good portion sizes. Papperdelle was delicious, prawns cooked correctly and desserts were delightful. Recommend and would return. I want to try out the couches sometime.

Lovely decor and relaxing environment. Service was polite, friendly and quick. Had some amazing tapas and Ruby Apple Spritzer. Would definitely come back to try more of their food. Not your regular tapas, but interesting combos and flavors

I cannot give high score, but this is because my personal taste. Everything was ok. Good points: environment, service, selection of wine, delicious cheese cake. Lower rate because the rib eye. I asked for medium rare, but it was overcooked. Then I prefer meat with... Just meat. Here it was covered with a sauce of gorgonzola, not bad but not as I like it. Only three stars just because this is the main course, but I will give it another try, because the place is good, and eventually other food will fit better my taste

This large venue is a little hidden in plain sight because of the large sign belonging to a shoe store, but it’s worth looking for. Comfortable couches on the sidewalk were perfect for a relaxing fun time in the centre of the city’s nightlife action, excellent food and attentive service make it a great choice for a night out. Could do with more meal choices for vegetarians but also plenty great sides and tapas.

This is a busy happening place, evidenced by the crowds and noise. Upon arrival, hostess was polite, showed us our reserved table promptly. We looked forward to a goof evening of good food and chatting. Our 1st set of 7 food items came quickly. I have been to many tapas places and sadly, the food quality and taste was not as good as others I have experienced. The garlic prawns were not very fresh as the flesh of the prawns was mushy. The taste of the duck croquettes was gamey. The best tasting items were the beef short ribs and pork belly. Our bottle of Prosecco was served not well-chilled. It also took a long time (about half hour) to serve our desserts - churros and chocolate brownie. Only the churros were ok. The brownie was lukewarm at best. Overall, sorry to say, I was expecting La Parada to be better as it seemed to be popular. Won’t be back.

Cool place, nice vibe and cool setup but very below average service. 20 minutes for a drinks - over an hour for some tapas... Not sure I can recommend

What a fun evening. Food was amazing. So tasty and very generous portions. 3 tapas special and happy 2 hours. And then the groovy sounds of Acoustic Element. Perfect break out after lockdown.
