Very friendly service and homey atmosphere. The dishes are well portioned, I recommend ordering less and see how it goes.

Really lovely African restaurant in Cape Town near the Woodstock area. Would highly recommend visiting and trying the food out. I would warn that the portions are huge so air on the side of ordering less, trying the foods and adding on if you’d like more. Ordered the peanut and greens, grilled chicken wings with a sauce, and two types of pap. Overall, it was good. The service was amazing and everyone there is so friendly.

Love the place been coming here since they opened. New staff not understanding service though and it has become slow. Love Guru but have given up coz every time it has sand. Besides that I always come back to support with other dishes. Also not even one staff had mask on with all Covid compliance in all restaurants 🙊🙊

Everytime I ask them for beef trotters, they sell me pork trotters. The staff will always say with confidence that the trotters are beef, I ask that for a reason, my wife doesn't eat pork. Please be honest with your products, dishonesty for halal customers is not ok. To add on, every time I call for braai chicken wings, they always complain that it takes long for them to make, if you complain about your products on the menu revamp it so that you can supply within your capabilities. Disappointed

Wonderful restaurant serving typical cuisine, great experience. No utensils so you eat with your hands which is always the best way to eat! Super welcoming as well, couldn't recommend enough.

Great African food Definitely reminded me of home. Simple African cuisine though decor and feel can be upgraded. Food was so great that I only remembered to take a picture when I was halfway through my food

My first time to tryout your meals and it a dissapointment. I was really missing the road runner just the way we make it back home. The road runner was merely boiled and tasteless. As for the green veggies - I could taste it was fertilized. A never to repeat order.

Very good African Restaurant. We had a wonderful experience trying different types of African food. The price was also very good ca. a bit more than 1000ZAR for 5 people. Die Bedingung war auch sehr nett.

I don't believe there's a better African food in Cape Town. The food is always fresh and their quality is very consistent. Pricing is very competitive as well and the seating options are inside and outside. With new spacing requirements this type of seating is very ideal. One more thing, generally African restaurants make Pap/ Sadza and store it to be microwaved, Pahari Restaurant does not do that, every plate comes straight out of the pot per order and into your plate. That is attention to detail. You may also want to try their popular Mazowe orange juice while uou wait for your food. In this economy where value for your buck is important, Pahari is one of those "must try" places😊

I went to Pahari Restaurant with a group for a cooking class. The owners were warm, loving, and encouraging as we connected with our heritage through food. We learned about history and culture, cooked, ate, and laughed as if we were in their home. And that chicken was so good I could NOT stop talking about it. I can’t wait to return to Cape Town and Pahari is the first stop on my list!!!

Enjoyed the African traditional food. Faux pas on my part, eating pap with a fork. 🤭 All worth the trip to the restaurant. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a good African food experience.

  • 4/5 De C. 3 years ago on Google
The portion may be small, but the price is great. Beyond the affordable price, is the refreshing green veg served with the menu. The taste graciously sticks in the brain, calling you from time after time, whispering 'it is time to visit Pahari African Restaurant'. - De Critic (decritic.com)

I ordered Tilapia fish with curry sauce and beef tripe from UberEats. The fish came with no curry sauce and it was very dry. The beef tripe tasted like it has been in the fridge for a very long time. So dissapointed!
