👍 If you are looking for souvenirs in Cape Town then this is the place to visit. They have the best price compare to all the other souvenir shops and flee markets. They also have a shop inside the V&A mall and the prices are exactly the same. Even if you don't intend to buy anything, I recommend to... People often mention souvenirs, items, prices, African, beautiful, shop, visit, price, floors, staff,

A beautiful old building, from outside an eye catcher. Inside, sjoe so lovely, much different stuff to watch and finally to buy the one or other little something. In October 2020 undewr lockdown level 1 restrictions, there was so much space (pity,on ther other hand) to linger and enjoy due to less other touris.

Great little store with quite a few unexpected surprises available for sale - certainly worth perusing if you're in the area. While I did purchase a few items from the store, some of the selections on offer were worth the time simply to look at.

They also have a shop inside the V&A mall and the prices are exactly the same. Even if you don't intend to buy anything, I recommend to visit this place. There is so much to see. The whole building is like a museum. They sell souvenirs downstairs and have various types of African arts and crafts collections upstairs.

The most comprehensive range of African crafts from South Africa and other parts of Africa. Products are expensive and you cannot haggle but they are good quality and make great gifts. The large shop is spread over several floors with the collectors items located on the upper floors and souvenirs on the ground floor. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Large items can be shipped overseas. The shop is situated in a lovely part of the vast V & A Waterfront outside overlooking docks.

I was amazed to see this shop which is more like a museum. The lower floor has practically every kind of souvenir you might see elsewhere at very competitive prices... but it's on the 2 upper floors that things get interesting. They have so much art pieces there that they'd probably be justified in asking for an entrance fee. This is a must visit establishment when you're visiting Cape Town... so much so that you'd find yourself going there every day you have an hour to spare. The staff is very helpful, and absolutely non-pushy.

2 Sep, 6:30pm I bought quite a number of things here, it is spacious with a huge range of souvenirs. The sales lady at the ostrich egg counter was very friendly and helpful, except when she told me that testing of lamp, cleaning and packing request would be done at the cashier instead, that is where the nightmare began. The lady at the cashier was extremely rude when I told her my requests; she asked for payment right away, I repeated saying that I wish to test the product first, she rolled her eyes and said “waiting for your payment”. So I brought out my card, she went straight to attend to other customers, I then held back payment and the other guy doing the packing asked me to pay again. They were right beside each other so it was obvious that I couldn’t make any payment then, so I am made to be stuck in between, pay now or pay later? I asked both of them, one asked me to pay and the cashier ignored me. They tried to shame me and this was extremely disrespectful. The sales lady(refer to name on my image) at the ostrich egg told me to write to the management, here it is. The cashier should be ashamed of herself instead.

Nice place for shopping. The staff won’t pester you to buy things, price tags are clearly labeled so you will know what you’re paying for. Some of the items are even cheaper than the ones from Green Market. They have a postbox outside so you can write your postcards and drop it off, they will help you to send it to the post office.

They have every souvenir you need with four full floors of beautiful items. The staff wont pressure you into buying anything. Everything is price labeled and fairly reasonable. The upper floors had some truly beautiful and precious carvings and artifacts. The price range was huge depending on if you needed a small keychain to a giant statue or antique. We bought all of our souvenirs here.

Amazing collection of African art, artifacts, and hand crafted trinkets with very friendly service and reasonable prices. Make sure to see all the floors and the museum at the top level.

I'll echo what other people have said, it is by far the best prices for souvenirs and has a massive amount in one place (three stories worth). I did all of my Christmas shopping for 15 USD and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. If you are visiting Cape Town, this is the store to visit to find the best souvenirs at the best price (confirmed as I visited 6 other souvenir shops on the pier - none came close to these prices).

This place is horrible!!! For starters the staff there are very unfriendly and follow you around like your going to steal something. Second of all the majority of the sculptures were of naked people so it’s not child friendly. The prices are very overpriced. I had an incident while back where they offered to box it up so it’s easier to transport , they took half an hour and when we opened the box, a big piece of the sculpture had broken off and then hadn’t thought to tell Us but instead glue it back on And sell it for full price!!! Not only that’s but they’d had dumped it in the box and throw bubble rap on top. Like that was going to protect it. I’m surprised it didn’t break through transport. This place was definitely a low on my holiday.

Decent selection of souvenirs and I did purchase gifts from here in the end. However, I was considering leaving after I was followed from room to room. My sister was followed as well. I won’t be back. We were looking to buy more souvenirs for friends and family and will happily go else where.

Go for the museum if nothing else. A must see collection of some beautiful artifacts. It is free and you are simply blown away with the sheer volume of near perfect items, spears, shields, mask, and so much more. It takes a full 45 minutes to see all the things contained inside. Many of the items (most) of the stuff sold in the store are knockoffs for the tourist. There are some real nice items and a must see if you like African items.
