Wonderful park. So many people enjoying themselves with friends and family. The Park is beautifully maintained, rolling lawns and many types of trees. There's a small stream running through with a couple of ponds. Plenty of ducks and squirrels. The squirrels can be quite bold when looking for food. Plenty of braai and picnics areas. Public toilets also.

We attended a small family gathering here and it was not bad at all. Lots of space, shade and nice views of the dam / pond and animals. Nice grassy areas, well kept and maintained but bathrooms needed some TLC but perhaps because it is open to the public, it is not in the best state. Quiet, private and we had a lovely Sunday afternoon spent with friends and family.

It's always a pleasant experience coming here. Great for the kids and the whole family. Bring your camping chairs and come have a braai, picnic, or just a stroll. Lots of shady areas to keep cool on those hot summer days. The park could do with a toilet upgrade, it can be a problem on busy days and its smack in the middle of the whole entire park which is quite big. I will add more pictures at a later stage. It was a quick pop in on this day.

A well deserved day to relax by yourself or with friends and family. Wynberg park has braai facilities and is overseen by a lake and trees to shade you from the sun. Fun and games for the entire family

What a wonderful surprise. A mid-week visit will avoid the weekend crowds. We went on a Thursday to have an outdoor meeting and quick braai. Braai area was clean. Bring your own grid. The ablution facility was clean and working. If you travel all the way in, you find the play park and a small dam. There are plenty of birds and even a few Egyptian Geese families. We also had a squirrel or two dropping acorn shells on our heads. It's definitely a great place to come and relax and bring kids. As Arnie said, "I'll be back!" Well done, City of Cape Town Parks and Recreation!

Tranquillity, peace, in touch with nature, just what the doctor ordered. No loud music permitted. It's safe and secured. Grounds are neat, well maintained lawn, plants, suitable for the extended family, from babies to the elderly, to enjoy. Kids play safe, all amenities are provided. The restrooms are clean, tidy and fully equipped.

Beautiful park, toilets were clean. Braai spots galore. The place was full but it did not feel full. There was enough space for everyone. The kids park needs an upgrade. We had an awesome time.

Wynberg Park: A Tranquil Oasis in the Heart of Wynberg Nestled in the heart of Wynberg, Wynberg Park stands as a testament to nature's serenity and urban tranquility. Beautiful natural splendor. You have to be very early to get the best spots. Superb lawns with little streams and ponds. Some areas don't have green lawns but have patches of red dust in between so don't wear white shoes . Jungle gyms and Park areas for the kids as well as public restrooms. Designated braai areas You can put up your own gazebo for extra cover. Park rangers visibly patrol the grounds. Had an awesome day for our family reunion

It ok ...very nice for outdoor picnics...many have parties but not advisable as the ground is not that even..toilets are a bit distant and so are braai spots all clumped on the one side.. that's if you drive to the bottom. The top is dry not very green, bit braai spots more accessible....lovely flora....good for Sunday afternoon picnic.

There are few places that allow you to "braai" (BBQ) in a public place... especially for free... Wynberg Park, also known as Wynberg Gardens, is a magnificent place to take your family for a chilled day in nature, smelling the trees, plants, and fresh cut grass ... You have your braai spot and you can set up a tent or Gazebo... and if you'd like a romantic scenery there's always the fish pond further up with a bridge, closer to the back yard barking lot... You won't be sorry if you take your family out... That's a promise.

Beautiful park! You feel as though you're removed from the city, and time slows down, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors as it was meant to be enjoyed! There's plenty of space for your children to run around and play, and there are mature trees all over, providing shade for picnic-goers. There's even a jungle gym for young ones to enjoy! We'll be back again...

Just what I was looking for on this Sunday afternoon. Cool, shady trees and quiet relaxation. There were other groups, even parties, but the park is large enough to give everyone space. The restrooms are not spotless, but quite acceptable.

Amazing experience. More ponds. More parks. More fun. The whole family could finally be in one place and nobody had to do the dishes after. So many different trees and so much oxygen.

Well maintained and visible security. Awesome place to spend the day with the kids. Offers play park and braai facilities. Recommend taking your own braai along for those hot busy days. Great family atmosphere and reasonably safe. On arrival please make sure you have confirmed the location of the closest toilet to your picnic spot.

A beautiful park to take a break from daily life. Whether you want to have a picnic, take a walk in the park/walk your fur child or enjoy watching your kids express their inner child.. They have sought after facilities and a jungle gym section for under 14’s which I enjoyed far too much before being kicked off because I wasn’t young enough 🥹

One of the very few free spots available where you can spend quality time with friends and family. I like the play area for kids was revamped. They can, however, do something about the parking. But fun was had!

Great place to socialise. Very large municipal space, clean with running water. Securely fenced in. Paved walkway around the park about 1.2km. Great for taking strolls, walking the dog (T&Cs), or jogging. Braai facilities a plenty with space around it for large family gatherings. Great place for celebrating family events or just to get away from home and relax. Also has play park for children and mini gym. Various parking areas for large number of cars.

I visited Wynberg Park many years ago as a teenager and on Saturday at a family reunion I was pleasantly surprised to see how well kept and family friendly the park is run. The only problem we had as now all in our late 50's and 60's was the toilet facilities that was far apart and the one closest to we were picnic was locked. Otherwise it is a lovely venue for family and kiddies events even saw a wedding thank you Cheryl Peters.

I revisited Wynberg Park recently. It's not my favorite place on earth, however I enjoyed myself with the company I was with. It's not that bad. Ideal for a family/ group function. I am glad that there's greenery. ❤️

Peaceful, Clean and green. The park is well taken care of. Dog owners clean after their dogs and there's disposal bins located almost every meter along the pathway. The jungle gym and other play swings are functional and user friendly. It's quite a wonderful place to spend a day with family and friends

Park is satisfactory, don't expect to use toilets as it's open grounds they are in a state. Other wise park is big and fairly clean apart from ledt over glitter from parties. Park does have people randomly walking around

The Park is well kept, safe and relatively relaxing depending on the other visitors of course. Things to note that you should bring along: 1. Table(s) chair(s) because there are none 2. Grill for the braai 3. Gazebo or umbrella - the trees offer some coverage but may not be enough on some spots 4. Toilet paper and hand-wash The Park offers many play areas for kids and a welcoming connection with nature. The toilets however are terrible, and I'd avoid it, if possible. It only had one cubicle and was dirty. The Park does have security staff who make their rounds. This did however not deter multiple people from drinking. Fortunately it was a work group, that didn't get out of hand during our time there but is however a concern. Overall a pleasant experience. Another thing to note is that by 12pm most of the spots are taken so best get there early.
