I
saw
this
hotel
during
an
earlier
visit
to
Capetown
and
wanted
to
stay
in
it
on
my
next
visit.
I
am
so
dissatisfied
with
both
the
decor
and
the
service,
that
I
wanted
to
write
a
detailed
review.
First,
the
service.
The
hotel
staff
wear
cool
T
shirts
and
not
the
usual
uniforms.
However,
it
is
not
the
casual
look
that
makes
friendly
service.
Good
service
starts
with
humanity
and
empathy,
which
the
staff
at
this
hotel
simply
lack.
I
was
very
sick
on
the
day
of
my
check
out.
I
asked
for
a
paid
late
check
out,
and
I
was
refused.
I
asked
to
pay
a
full
night
for
just
an
extra
hour,
and
I
was
again
refused.
A
hotel
should
have
some
understanding
that
middle
aged
people
can
and
do
get
sick
and
might
need
an
extra
hour.
But
no,
in
this
hotel
the
T
shirts
are
casual,
but
the
approach
to
service
is
as
rigid
as
it
can
be.
The
design
of
the
hotel
looks
good
only
on
pictures.
Once
inside,
you
realize
the
“design”
is
actually
a
cheap
building
methodology
that
restricts
inner
decoration
to
bare
concrete.
Add
loud
music
to
bare
concrete
walls
and
you
get
massive
noise.
This
is
what
the
hotel
check
in
and
restaurant
offers:
Massive
noise.
Talking
about
the
check
in:
The
computer
systems
seem
so
slow
that
they
cannot
check
in
anyone
under
10
minutes.
As
a
result,
there
were
travelers
waiting
up
to
30
minutes
to
start
their
check
ins.
On
the
day
of
my
check
out,
at
9
AM,
there
was
a
line
of
7
groups
for
check
out!
Once
you
check
in,
you
realize
that
the
rooms
are
tiny.
I
mean
minuscule.
And
I
used
to
live
in
New
York.
So,
when
I
mean
tiny,
it
is
really
Guinness
Book
of
Records
tiny.
For
example,
I
could
not
open
the
bathroom
door
without
hitting
the
toilet
seat.
Luckily,
they
had
a
door
stopper
right
in
front
of
of
the
toilet
seat.
Unluckily,
I
broke
a
toe
on
the
stopper,
when
I
had
to
use
the
toilet
at
night.
Great
design,
ha?
The
roof
top
bar
is
really
the
highlight
of
this
hotel.
They
have
a
2x7m
container
full
of
dirty
water.
This
makes
it
a
roof
top
with
a
“swimming
pool”.
The
cheap
patio
furniture
on
the
roof
top
was
dirty
when
I
went
there.
I
do
have
to
admit
that
the
food
was
very
good.
In
short,
one
has
to
be
out
of
their
mind
to
pay
this
kind
of
money
to
a
cheaply
decorated
hotel
with
tiny
rooms
and
unfriendly
staff
in
causal
T
shirts.
Please
find
another
way
of
torturing
yourself.
