Pros: - Nice location - Staff overall helpful. The breakfast team was friendly Cons: -Very inconsistent quality regarding the rooms. The newly furnished rooms are up to standard, clean and nicely decorated. The old ones are shabby and furniture is falling apart, the worst is maybe the carpet which is old and dusty... also the room I was put in was not clean (cigarettes ends on the balcony etc.) and had cockroaches, which is unacceptable in a Radisson. - Below average breakfast despite the nice staff. Felt like a school cafeteria. - Asked for a cleaning lady at the reception to do a clean up in the evening, this never happened. - Overall impression of disorder / lack of management of the teams - This is NOT a business hotel (it’s not a criticism but people should know) - Overpriced for what you get compared to other places in Cape Town

What a great experience. The breakfast was amazing! Honeycomb that you can cut yourself and delicious smoothies. Just added that different touch to standard hotel fare. The pool deck is a good size and well protected. The rooms are great with private balconies on most. Great for views and smokers alike. Definitely worth checking out

Good value, excellent location Pros: Staff: everyone was friendly and professional, answered all our concerns, nothing seemed too much trouble. Shuttle to the waterfront was very convenient and drivers were excellent and helpful. Breakfast was very diverse, there was something for everyone's taste. (Although there were visibly much more choices when we came before 8:00 am, rather than after 8:30 when everything was swooped off by tour groups that stayed there as well). Location was excellent, hotel's proximity to the sea added extra value for us, there was always a fresh sea air and the magnificent waterfront. It was beautiful to walk along the promenade, running, watching sunset. We also felt very safe, even late at night. Parking was an extra bonus - if the property in the basement was full, there was a back-up lot outside which was safe and convenient. Cons: Room was on the smaller side, with a dated decor. Also, the bathroom: the wall above the bathtub was cracked right in the middle with a bare pipe sticking out. It looked as if it was done 5 min before we checked in and the job was still unfinished. The faucets and shower head were quite old. Cleanliness - on the second day, even though they made up our bed, the bathroom floor wasn't even swept. Overall, given the location, the price, and the recognized brand name behind the chain, the hotel was an excellent value. I would stay there again and would upgrade to superior rooms.

DON'T DO IT, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY FROM YOUR ROOM!!!! We stayed at this hotel, and I had money stolen out of the safe of my room on two different occasions during our 10-night stay. We took a specific amount of US dollars to exchange. We exchanged money once and left the rest of the US cash in the safe in our room where I was sure it would be safe. The first time I noticed money missing, a man showed up at our door claiming to be head of security and said that on of the cleaning staff found my safe open and that protocol dictated that they check with me to see if anything is missing. I told the man that I was pretty sure that $100 was missing, but that I first wanted to check my exchange receipts to be sure before getting anyone into trouble. I was right, but I decided to let it go and go about my vacation. Then a few days later, I got back to my room to find the safe open again. This time I know that I closed it before leaving. There was $300 missing this time, and I had done no further exchanges or touched that money for any reason. I alerted hotel security. They took a statement and never contacted me again or responded to any of my emails. I've contacted Radisson corporate several times. The response was "we will look into it," then silence. They are now not responding at all. Horrible way to remember an otherwise awesome vacation.

Stayed for 10 days in what seemed like an upgraded room. Shower was sloped improperly and caused the washroom to flood at the door everytime. Breakfast was frequently very busy with little to no service, frequently out of many things. The offer free shuttle which was good but didn't show twice. Staff was very friendly however, management needs to do a better job of deploying them ex. I'd rather have more service at breakfast than some guy to chase as down in the lobby every morning to ask how our stay is going. Good location however, will not be back, other options in Cape Town for this price point.

Having stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, the staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and ensured we were taken care off, most of the time. This lacked during breakfast as it seemed they could not handle larger volumes of people. It also seems that the newest place in the hotel is the restaurant as the rooms are really really old. It is in such a great location, however, not as good as you would expect from an internationally renowned company.

Rooms are neatly done however I think its time they change their mattresses, not comfortable at all. Breakfast was standard for all the 4 days of my stay with less options. Otherwise the place is okay

It's a really beautiful hotel. Kitchen staff are really friendly especially the senior sous chef, reception staff not so much, The bathrooms are really old school and mould is building up in our bathroom. They didn't offer us any shower gel, shampoo or lotion. For a 4 star hotel I'm not too impressed. Their travel desk is out of this world. The gents there are very friendly and helpful.

The service here is really good! The staff are very friendly and accommodating! There is a free shuttle every hour to take guests to the V&A Waterfront which is really awesome! The rooms are not the most modern but that didn't bother us at all, because they are clean and comfortable. We are on day four of our stay and I cannot fault this hotel at all. It's value for money. Friendly staff make all the difference!

The hotel has an old school elegance and aristocratic feeling. The staff are professional and very friendly, going beyond the norm. Checkin was very quick, under 5 minutes, and we were upgraded to a Sea View room (the sea view is from the balcony) which was a nice surprise. The sea is also clearly audible and it’s great to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The room was clean and nice, but obviously dated. Having said that, the beds were extremely comfortable we had a great nights sleep. The bathroom is also well appointed, but could do with a renovation. For some reason on day 2 there was no hot water in the shower. We called reception, went out for supper and when we came back it was sorted out. The swimming pool and deck is a nice addition. The pool was clean and we had a great swim. Once again the staff were on hand with swimming tiles and a smile. There is a designated parking lot across the road making parking a breeze (which is not common in sea point) All in all we had a good stay and will definitely consider staying again. Thank you.

Thank you for a nice stay at the Radisson Blu Le Vendome. We are very pleased with the nice service. The breakfast is fantastic. The hotel is in a very good condition and good locations for surroundings. We can walk around and feel safe. Nice service as a free bus to service facilities such as the pharmacy and the Waterfront. Wine, cheese and biscuits in the evening. Something for the future to think about is better bright in the buttons in lift. It's hard to see. Everything else is good.

The hotel was clean and neat. However, the hand sanitizers at the lifts are not working. The lady at reception had a bad attitude and was as unhelpful as possible. We asked her to let us know if we can check in a bit earlier. She then lied and said she tried to call me but I had no missed calls. She basically just told us what is not allowed. She did not explain to us where to go once we parked and we ended up wandering around the back of the hotel and had to figure out where to go. Our luggage was left in the foyer and when we asked if we need to move it to the 7th floor ourselves or would it be moved for us we got a rude reply that covid practices do not allow it. They could have just explained this from the start. Serious double standards by the staff with not adhering to the rules set up for the guests regarding the number of people in the lifts. It is a pity because this hotel is beautiful. The staff is letting the brand down.
