What a stunning place for every occasion. The restaurants are amazing and the drinks absolutely wonderful. We have been for high tea and drinks and each time, we are never disappointed.

One of the best high tea experiences I have ever had and I think my family will agree. The sweet treats weren't overly sweet and elegantly light with bursts of flavour coming through. The mini steak pie topped with sesame seeds along with the tikka chicken brioche bread were the highlights on the savoury side. I highly recommend the high tea experience.

Two weeks ago we had a reservation for the rooftop bar at the Silo Hotel. We were really looking forward to this, because this should be one of the best places in the city - unfortunately it wasn‘t. Only the view from the rooftop is beautiful, but the rest is nothing you expect from a 5 star hotel. Once we arrived at the rooftop bar no one was serving us, after 10minutes of waiting I had to ask for the drinks menu (worth to say, that we were there around 4.30pm and besides us only two other guest were at the bar), then the waiters were not so interested in doing their job, the bottle of wine and snacks arrived 20minutes later and were ok. In the end we wanted to pay, but forgot, that we already had payed a deposit for the reservation. After paying we went to the waiter and ask, if he could give us the deposit back. He set us up with the bar manager Fatima, who told us, we should get back our deposit on the next day, a cash back wasn‘t possible. Until today we didn‘t get our money back and the experience overall was a disappointment. We stayed at many places during our South Africa trip and we know what good service is and what you can expect from a 5 star hotel - the Silo Rooftop Bar didn‘t meet our demands at all!

The views are incredible and the food is amazing. I try to go for their Royal Tea whenever I visit cape town and it's a highlight of my trip. You have to experience it for yourself to understand.

An absolutely spectacular (yet rather terrifying) view is something you are guaranteed at the Silo Hotel! The staff are extremely friendly and hospitable. Their menu is very short but they ensure they perfect their courses, as a vegaterian I would love to see a few more options on the menu though. The barmen are spectacular and can make any classic or virgin cocktail you request which is not on the menu. The food is reasonably priced for such a high class establishment. Overall, I would definitely recommend the bar to someone celebrating a special occasion.

A Perfect Stay. Amazing location and the views are stunning. We especially loved taking baths to awesome views in their comfortable bathtub. We are vegan and they included a vegan chocolate and non dairy milk in the room. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Definite repeat value if we are ever in Cape Town. The hotel is unique and beautiful and location places you in walking distance of V&A waterfront.

Best hotel in the city, the rooms are gorgeous, everyone is always so nice and eager to help. The food and drinks are amazing, the rooftop restaurant is amazing for catching sunset. The Williamstown bar is a perfect spot to have dinner or for a date night

Daniel & Hendrick were absolutely amazing especially Daniel with his recommendations and cocktail making skills. I can always taste the difference when it is not Daniel who has made the cocktails. His are always consistent and delightful. I have to say Daniel is an absolute asset to the company. His service is exemplary 🩵🩵🩵

One of the best luxury hotels in the Waterfront. We went for drinks at the Willaston bar - they have implacable service, friendly staff and the space is absolutely beautiful! The have the best views in Cape Town. I loved every second of my visit to the Silo Hotel. After our drinks at the bar, One of the friendly staff took us on a tour through the Silo hotel and their interior design is breathtakingly out of this world. A definite 5/5 🌟

What a great experience, especially for a year-end staff party where we decided to do a high tea. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere was calm, and the bite-sized food was Devine.

Great views. Spacey rooms with individual styles but in sum not quite worth the price. Service is mostly great!

Stayed here on our honeymoon while in Cape Town: Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. 5 star views, food, and especially service. Amazing experience.

FABULOUS HOTEL IN CAPE TOWN! ---We recently stayed at The Silo for 6 nights during our 6.5 week African Adventure in a Deluxe Superior Suite that was stunning. Floor to ceiling windows gives you gorgeous views of the city, mountains and harbor. Nothing was sparred when building this hotel and the décor. The suite was so spacious with luxurious bedding, heated bathroom floors, large soaking tub, walk in shower, sitting area and balcony. The hotel won a big award for “Best Achievement in Design”. ---I wrote the concierge in advance to plan restaurants and other questions and they responded quickly with great communication. Thank you to Jessica and Cemone for your great service. ---Annelina brought us to our suite and explained everything in detail. She was incredible. ---The food at the Granary Café was exceptional. My husband said one it was one of the best breakfast’s he has had. The pastries were divine. There was a wonderful a la carte menu with many choices. Thank you to Rita , Peter and Rob for your attentive service. All the staff in the restaurant had the best attitudes. Thank you to Nigel (Restaurant Manager) and Daniel (Host). ---We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant 3 nights, that had creative delicious food and loved the views there too. ---There is a marvelous rooftop bar with great drinks- be sure not to miss going there. It is the place to be! ---We also used the lovely Spa. Thanks to Kashiefa and Wardah. ---We were celebrating a special occasion and there were so many treats in our suite including delicious sweets, champagne, rose petals and chocolate covered strawberries. We surely were surprised every day! ---What makes this so hotel FANTASTIC is the General Manager Luis Pinheiro. He is so engaging with his guests, always present and with a great sense of humor. Thank you Luis for making our stay so extraordinary. The beautiful book you gave us is displayed on our coffee table in our home. --Thank you also to Johandri (Deputy Manager) who was so lovely to us. ---All the staff had the best attitudes with the biggest smiles. ---The hotel is in a great location close to the V & A Waterfront Complex with over 450 stores and restaurants. ---Make sure to allow enough days in Cape Town to enjoy all it has to offer. A highlight was going up the Cable Car to Table Mountain. ---There was one staff member, that stood out to us. He had the biggest smile and we loved him! He brought treats to our room and took care of all our special requests. On night he knew we were watching a USA Playoff game on the TV and he brought us a big bowl of popcorn. Thank you Shingai for making our stay so exceptional! You are an amazing person! ---If you are looking for the BEST hotel in Cape Town with fabulous service, delicious food and gorgeous accommodations than The Silo should be your only choice! ---As I write this review it puts a big smile on my face remembering our 6 nights at The Silo Hotel.

One of the very best hotels you can stay at in Cape Town. Eclectic and quirky and very very classy. Great way to be based when you’re taking in the city.

High Tea at The Silo is a magical experience. From the moment you sit down you are immersed in a warm enveloping friendliness that exudes from the staff. And then the food arrives! Absolutely delightful, melt-in- the-mouth goodies, and in my case, gluten-free options which the pastry chef himself introduced to us. Next time you're looking for a special experience, consider spending a few hours relaxing and chatting with a cup of delicious tea and some scones with a dollop of clotted cream. You won't regret it!

We had a high tea for 12 people service was excellent, very friendly and professional waiters. One got an iced tea on arrival. Then the tea trays were brought to the table with a bit of savoury and sweet treats, tea or coffee. Anything extra was an additional cost to the R425.00 charge pp. Was enjoyable but I believe it's a bit overpriced. Lovely decor.

We booked the wisdom room for 11 people for a 40th birthday last Sunday. Things went wrong from the minute we arrived. As a group we collectively had a list of almost 10 things that went wrong but personally, these were my issues: 1) There was misinformation and poor communication all night. 2) The staff allocated to us were dismissive and not very helpful. Many times I found myself pouring drinks for myself and for my friends. Orders were ignored or mixed up and assistance throughout the night was hard to come by. 3) I ordered the lamb, which was delicious, but the foul smell of the fish, which was ordered by half the party ruined my lovely meal. We were later informed that they had used day old fish and not fresh fish brought in on the day. 4) The manner in which the staff handled our complaints at the end of the evening was off putting and it left me feeling extremely disgruntled. Overall, I will not return in a hurry and hope others will have better experiences than what we encountered.

An abysmal experience for such an establishment. We booked out the wisdom room for a private dinner, the waiter was dismissive, rude, incredibly slow and paid no attention to our requests. The meal was sub-par, at some point one of the staff told us we were served day old fish. As a group of international travellers, its shocking that your hotel is 5 star, our experience at McDonald's would have been better. Disappointing, an absolute ruin of a great evening. Neither myself nor anyone else at the dinner will ever consider the Silo for any event again, whether personal or business. Do better

Fabulous hotel located overlooking the V&A Waterfront. Close to numerous restaurants and attractions. Every room is decorated differently, each with curated art and vibrant color schemes. Service, from the valet/greeter to the front desk to restaurant/bar staff, is exceptionally friendly but professional. Excellent breakfast, beginning with a fruit and pastry tower and completed with a chef-driven hot main. From an architectural perspective, this is a very unique small boutique hotel (I've seen one other that converted a grain silo to a hotel in Buenos Aires, but not as upscale) that showcases creative space repurposing -- the windows in particular are iconic. Not inexpensive by any means but worth every rand spent!

Had a cheese platter and then scones in the bar area. Smallest scones I have ever had but still a very good experience. Very good service. Fantastic decor and views.

Lovely place and wonderful vibes around you. Food was good. Wine was great. Service was amazing. Just why weren't there any wine buckets?

New hotel in the waterfront and very funky. A great place to have a drink with pretty views and swanky atmosphere. Huge cocktail menu and nice seating. Make a reservation.

This is a great looking venue but the service is sadly inept. We popped into the bar for coffee and cake, after 20 minutes we got coffee (wrong type but close enough) and one cake, and by the time those were finished the rest still hadn’t arrived. Seriously how long could it take to put a scone on a plate?

We went for high tea at the hotel. The service was fantastic. Wide variety of teas to choose from, some included in your high tea package. I would recommend the berry tea. The iced tea welcome drink was also amazing. Petit fours and treats were all served at the same time.

Perhaps the best luxury hotel to stay in on the Waterfront, Silo surely delivers in every aspect. From beautifully appointed rooms, to impeccable service and friendliness of the staff, to sumptuous meals to be had at either granary cafe or the rooftop bar. Oh, and the views from the latter are simply stunning. Highly recommended!

A must do in Cape Town take a walk through the 6th floor bar then head up to the roof! Booking is highly recommended as it gets full fast! 360 views of the beautiful Cape 🤩

Nothing can compare with the views from this hotel. Watching the sunset was amazing. Great food and very friendly, professional service at the Granary Restaurant. Our Australian guest was in awe.

Wow! The Silo Hotel is amazing. Wonderful 5 star treatment throughout! Great and beautiful experience at the Willaston Bar and The Silo Hotel Rooftop. Amazing professional and friendly staff. All the staff attend to you and very efficiently. I highly recommend this place. A big thank you to Pule who made our experience great at the Willaston Bar and with the amazing cocktails and Lawrence at the Rooftop with the amazing view experience. Loved every thing and every moment. The food is also amazing. I was very happy. Definitely coming back.

Whenever we are in Cape Town we pay a visit to the rooftop on The Silo Hotel. Great view, food and drinks ... if you are able to get that far. Once in a while the management decide to act like a virgin avoiding a kiss from a respectable suitor. Once in a while there are hotel guests only allowed so they deny you access. Which is perfectly fine until you can see from the neighboring hotel rooftop that there is no one sitting. Well, have it your way. We do reconsider another visit, because there is a fine line between exclusivity and discrimination.
