Outstanding and extraordinary location and views! One of if not the best hotels to see sunsets, whales and the ocean. I've visited this hotel now 7 times in 4 years and they have been brilliant. The staff honestly and genuinely go out their way to accomodate you in the rooms if you want to swop or have issues, at the restaurant when ordering breakfast, lunch or dinner, and the bar, no matter where you are in this establishment the staff are kind, friendly and helpful. It's such a nice atmosphere and vibe. Fridays to welcome you, the hotel offer you wind which is stunning. I've stayed in the penthouses with jacuzzis, the big balcony 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suites and the normal one bedroom hotel rooms. Some are great, some need attention and updates. Overall I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It's views and staff are above 5 Stars.

This was my mom and mines 3rd visit to the hotel and boy oh boy it never seems to fail us. Our little weekends away are always so memorable and its mostly that way because of the beautiful accommodation we get to stay in. The rooms are beautiful sea- facing rooms with the most devine views over looking the bay. The house keeping staff are super friendly when they come and do their rounds and always have such a positive attitude when it comes to their jobs. The check in and outs at reception are always super smooth and easy with us and we can never fault it. The new layout of the reception amped up the ease of this even more so. Even though the one elevator was out of order they were completely apologetic and made sure the lift was running as a back up. The shuttle drivers are incredible and know the Cape off the back of their hands allowing for them to make sure you arrive at your destination on time and safe , and give good recommendations of places to go . The bar and restaurant never ever leaves anyone unsatisfied, from the devine drinks to the amazing cuisine , it's again not easy to find fault. I cannot wait to do another visit soon. Thank you Peninsula Team for making our weekends away so memorable !

Rooms / suites are generously proportioned with good, but dated, facilities. Overall, the rooms were ok. Highlights: variety of facilities including 2 x pools (1 heated), nice lawn with sea views & loungers, bars, restaurants etc. We stayed in the family suites on floor 1. Whilst the layout and space was good, they are directly behind the bar which plays loud music until 11pm. Luckily my kids fell asleep but, parents with more sensitive children may struggle. Also, if you need any help from reception, good luck! I needed bedding for the sofa bed as I could not find this anywhere in the room. I phoned reception every 30 mins over a 2 hour period. Every time, I was told that "Don't worry, we will call housekeeping". Annoying that the bedding wasn't available in the first place and even more frustrating that it took so long to resolve. That said, staff are generally very helpful and friendly though so, although they won't be proactive in helping you, they will happily meet your requests.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of November with two small children in a 2 bedroom suite. The suite was on the first floor right in front of the bar. Even though we were there on a Monday and Tuesday, the bar blared loud music until 11pm each night. The suite was also right in front of the lifts with the only usable shower having a window opening onto the internal corridor in front of the lifts. I'm sure some guests enjoy overhearing loud music, but perhaps not appropriate for guests with young children. We requested bedding for the sofa bed for the first night - this took two hours to come after three reminder phone calls. The travel cot was also only delivered very late. Quite tricky when you have small children who are ready for bed. The doorstop for the front door had come out of the floor and the pull switches for the fan in the second bedroom had broken and been fixed by tying a string to them - but the pull wouldn't work unless you stood on the bed to get the right angle. The suite was not in great condition. I had booked through the Dream Resorts website and paid 50% deposit. On check in, I paid the other 50% and they charged me another 50% on check out. I have contacted them but have not yet received a refund for this. Breakfast was incredible slow on both days. The hotel is in a good position and the warm pool was heavenly (although the gym was often out of towels). The staff was friendly when we encountered them, but very slow.

Our apartment had Amazing views of the ocean!! I saw one of the most breathtaking sunsets I've ever seen.. The staff including the restaurant service were all very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a 6 sleeper and there was ample space for everyone, it felt like a palace. πŸ˜‚ I will definitely be back..

I visited in October the service is outstanding, beautiful rooms, I liked the fact that its close to the beach I enjoyed the walks in the morning. They have a Taxi that can take you to town for free. They also had a live band at the restaurant this was truly the highlight of my stay.

The staff is professional, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The rooms however really let the side down and are really quite tacky and outdated. You can get better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Great venue for a holiday. Situated in an ideal location amidst the buzz. Super friendly and helpful staff. Loved the rooms which are spacious and clean.

Week before schools reopened in July 2023 we stayed at the Penninsula. 5th floor apartement. Views are to die for. The facilities excellent. Some of people are plusses like Happiness and the security guard the night before we booked out. Allthough we knew that they were busy with renovations on their lifts, which by the way are very needed, we did not expect the constant banging daily right through the hotel. No notice to warn anyone. Banging started early in mirning and carried on to late. As we entered on our first day one could see that the reception area are in serious need for a total makeover. The tiles, the furniture etc. In the rooms the furniture are in serious bad shape. Our bucket seats in our room had very bad legs. One was scared to sit and the legs might break off. Being rated a 4 star hotel and being guests at this hotel for at least last 10 years(timeshare), one could see the dropping of services, looks of the rooms, etc. etc. The carpets in corridors, and in units are in serious need to be cleaned. Maybe its time to think of getting in new service providers as the current ones are not doing a good job. The undercover parking was turned into general storage at certain places. It did not look neat and upmarket at all. The security sits in their little ofice at parking area. Do not make any person feels secure at all. No one offers to help carry luggage or even offer a trolley. This visit was a total dissapointment and to be honest. Complaints was given in to the general manager etc. Not one word from his side. In our time there, several guest complained about same situatioms. Couple of guest booked out earlier due to the noise levels and the bad service delivery. On our last day we spoke to a very kind lady who admit certain complaints of us were given in by several other guests as well. (Mrs, or Me Essop) In general my opinion is that this hotel definite are no 4 * hotel anymore. They need to have a serious "pick me up" in looks, in service delivery etc.

They are upgrading their rooms and the lifts. The service is excellent. This hotel is ideally located. My citi bus service station is a few steps from the entrance. They also offer breakfast and dinner in their restaurant Strolla. It's a great beautiful beach front hotel.

Very centrally located, close to beaches and shopping district, walking distance to very popular Mojo Market. Rooms are neat and well-kept and recently renovated. Bathrooms are tidy, with very good water pressure for a relaxing shower, although it seems the tub was left out of renovations as it was stained and a bit grubby looking. Enough electrical points to charge all your devices. On our floor, all windows opened wide for a sea breeze, although the restaurant right below the room windows was a poor choice as it can get loud and rowdy. The kitchen is equipped with two plate stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, lots of counter space, toaster, kettle and basin. Couch in living room can be pulled out for double bed. While we were there the generator was broken, but they provided rechargeable lights and candles. The wi-fi is off during loadshedding and very spotty otherwise, do not depend on it, especially if you have work to do. We water leak from the room above onto the extractor fan and stove, reported it to reception and housekeeping, all they did was leave extra towels to mop up the water. Busses stop right outside the hotel. They have safe and secure parking at R70 per night

It was my Daughter's birthday and I used of my Timeshare points to book here. It has been upgraded and they still renovating on some floors including the lifts. The kids enjoyed the warm pool as it was cold outside. They have a restaurant on the premises. Their cocktails are divine.

Woke up with a cockroach on my face... Decided I would address it with management before leaving a review.. Only to have her laugh at the fact that I woke up to something on my face. Won't come back ever again because of this. Cockroaches are one thing but to have one crawl on your face when they Cary many diseases and then have someone laugh at you.. No thanks 0 stars

It is 20h13 on a Friday night. 4 guests at Strolla and what an immensely dissapointing experience. Being spoken down to by a waiter who has is clearly not proficient in the English language. Speaking to guests as if we are his friends. No Robert, waiter at Strolla, we are your guests, your patrons and we are paying customers. May I suggest that you leave the speaking to your supervisor, she clearly listened to our concern and understood that your service was lacking and at no stage were we given the information to follow your process. You were clearly not interested. If this hotel is interested in service and welcome constructive feedback, please make contact with me. I am happy to engage you. Also, we are not interested in being treated with special attention, we are only interested in courtesy and good interpersonal communication. Your waiter, Robert lacks this. His behavior has been in very poor taste. We do not recommend this venue tonight.

Timeshare for 7 days yearly for the last 30 years. They have maintained their special high standard. Though we really would like to see a full menu when ordering at the restaurant. If you leave your phone behind πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ as we did your choices are limited.

Beautiful and intimate establishment, very good service. I did not stay over therefore can't comment on the rooms.

While there was one staff member in particular who made this a wonderful stay, the general helpfulness and friendliness could have been better.

Excellent stay great location for a vacation in Cape Town and brilliant spacious room with a view of the ocean. Hotel was a bit old and service wasn’t the best also had my car hit in the parking without any indication as to who did it, but otherwise lovely room would come and stay again if I ever was back in Capetown!

Love this place, close to Woolworths and SPAR deli. Beautiful fresh flowers and the staff are amazing. I really like that you can open all the windows, even though you are on the fourth floor.

These are more like apartments than suites...so much room. Perfect for a family of 4. Couldn't be more centralised.off street and undercover parking for your guests. Beautifully renovated finishes.

I have never had such an experience before. The ability to be transported to nearby places as a courtesy offered by the hotel was amazing. The welcome dinner was exquisite too. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is amazing too. Luxury at it's best.

Timeshare self-catering units are well thought out and stocked with all you could want...outstanding views with sunsets that could transcend almost any other similar experience, anywhere else in the world. As a creative soul, I couldn't have restored my inspiration any better than from this uniquely positioned piece of paradise. ❗ not to be missed and will never be forgotten.
