Attended a function in the Atlantic Suites, so unfortunately I cannot comments on the rooms, check-in, room service etc. The function was good, venue looked stunning ๐Ÿ‘Œand the service was on point. A decent smoking area would be a plus, and parking is a bit of a schlep... Other than that... Good overall experience ๐Ÿ˜œ

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. When we walked into the hotel we were not greeted by any of the staff. Staff were totally unfriendly and could not assist us when we inquired about the menu and whether we could be accommodated as we are Muslim and need halal food. We were given blank stares and we were told that we would be charged extra for halal food which we could not understand as all we asking is to have food prepared in a different pan/pot away from pork and alcohol. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready yet. Eventually my wife had enough and we left to get something to eat for lunch as the hotel could not accommodate us. She then called the hotel 4 times trying to speak to hotel management. Eventually she spoke to someone called Alex and he also agreed that the service was not what they should be giving. The room was not the best in terms of view but overall the room fine with the exception that the bedroom lamp was broken and there were hair strands in the bath. Breakfast was OK but nothing wow. Again service is not great. We were not told upfront what can be ordered until my wife asked. We had no cups on our table and when I asked for a cup I still never received it. Overall not the greatest experience I've had going to a hotel but I expected more from a 4 star hotel. Only positive I can say is that the location of the hotel is great as it's right on the beach.

Cleanliness was an issue. The towels had stains and the bathroom smelled. The dishwasher did not have tablets. Overall the location is great, staff is good but the room's design and cleanness was substandard. I would not stay there again.

Don't waste your time. After traveling for almost a day, show up to find out they had cancelled my room, including over a dozen, all for a meeting that they were hosting. The front desk staff gave terrible service and offered zero apology for cancelling our rooms, probably because the conference rate was more expensive than booking through them directly and they wanted to force us into staying in the apartments. They lied to us and told us our travel agent had cancelled the reservations, which was not the case (and they apparently claimed this lie about all the groups for which they cancelled reservations). Even when booking a room on their website that says it was for a specific room that was available, they told us it wasn't and we'd have to stay in the apartments (basically selling rooms that did not exist or they did not have ready to actual house people in). Got shoved in the apartments for several days, the sewage smell was so bad one night we had to insist on getting actual rooms in the hotel. There was no control over temperature, they weren't on the hotel generator, the noise at night and light coming in from the hallway made it impossible to sleep. They couldn't recode their room keys properly, multiple days and multiple staff gave us keys that didn't work. The hotel room was much better than the apartment UNTIL there was a roach on my last day. The only positive aspect were the bartenders in the hotel bar, they were a delight. This is the worst venue for a conference I've ever experienced.

My experience with this place has been disgusting. Find another place to stay! This place is a disaster! This is the worst experience I have had from any place I have stayed. Every day here was spent trying to create a solution. After numerous emails prior to arrival and receiving confirmation, we arrived to find that our requests had not been fulfilled. Amenities had not been provided. The restaurant on site provides a good breakfast, but it's a joke when visiting for dinner. Do not waste your time. The rooms are not sound proof. The hotel does not enforce the non smoking policy. After being moved to multiple rooms, each had it's faults, including multiple cigarette burns in the carpets. We were woken up numerous times from the smell of other people's cigarette smoke. There was a haze of smoke inside the passageway when arriving at our room one night. Half of our lights did not work, the air conditioning was faulty. The curtains were onl half on the rails. The river that flows into the sea in front of the hotel is heavily polluted, making our stay unbearable. This is an on going problem as there are permanent signs posted on the riverbank, warning of the pollution. We had to end our stay early for health and safety concerns, as well as overall dissatisfaction.

I repeated my experience at the Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa after being invited by the manager following a first experience that was not very pleasant. Today I am very happy to say that our stay went very well and that I recommend this hotel, with a magnificent view of the sea and Table Mountain at breakfast. Moreover, the direct access to the beach is a real plus! I would like to thank Peter and the whole team again for their welcome and their availability.

Thank you to Pieter and the team for a memorable stay. The location is breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. It was a relaxing and peaceful stay. Tashreeq gave us excellent service upon arrival and the staff on duty at breakfast went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. Keep it up!

Great hotel with great staff. Sandile who worked in the buffet was definitely a pleasure to deal with each morning. Superstar employee right there! The food was great, ate almost every sandwich, pizza and the buffalo wings a few times and they did no disappoint. Excellent views from our corner sea view room. Iโ€™ll be back!

Clean and neat room with lovely views overlooking the pool area, ocean and Table Mountain. Reception and overall service very good. Simply Hair - hair salon is excellent, stock a good product range, great service - Simone will go the extra mile if and where possible. Spa - luxurious and relaxing with a variety of treatments to choose from. Menu - options are limited, can be improved. Food and drinks very expensive.

I general an excellent hotel with excellent service. But the were severe issues with my reservation. That was in fact a long story during which I had to pay the roomrate twice from which one was was refunded. Maybe a misunderstanding between reception and the booking department. The room and the service apart from the described issue was outstandingly good. Also the food offered in the restaurant can be meant to be excellent. Shuttle service to the waterfront is free of charge. All in all a very good place to stay in Cape Town and region.

One of the best locations with beautiful views on table mountain. Just wish the service was better. Waited over an hour for food. When it eventually arrived the birthday boy's food was delayed by another 30min. Waiter then apologized and told the boys that he will get them some ice cream for the trouble. The Waiter then just left without saying goodbye and the new waiter didn't know anything about it. Ordered water and more drinks from the new Waiter and guess what, that was also delayed. Management needs to be improved.

What a great family breakfast we had , it was overall the best face to face service received. Staff was friendly and very efficient . They are child friendly, my 2 year old son was so busy he had a big space for him to explore. A private section for more intimate functions. Beautiful view directly over the Cape Town Stadium and Lagoon on my right side. Thank you so much to the Staff of Lagoon Beach Hotel and Spa ....extended to Asanda, Olwethu. It was a wonderful breakfast buffet experience. Thank you so much.

Didnโ€™t stay at the hotel, I was here for conferencing. Overall I was happy with the conferencing service. The lunch buffet menu was good, and the location was good. I hated the fact that out of the 5 days there they only had sparkling water twice. Not everyone drinks soda/ or cool drinks for lunch, the least a hotel can do is ensure there are other alternatives.

We checked in 4 Jan and the staff was far from welcoming or friendly. There was no hot water up to the 5th with every person promising to speak to maintenence and zero feedback, instead we were told someone would arrange for us to go shower in one of the self-catering apartments. The hotel is undergoing maintenance on the outside, but that doesn't excuse why the rooms are in such bad shape. Doors don't close, curtains are falling off the tails, bed side lamps are broken, TV only worked on the 1st night. Room service is super early, between 9am and 10am. They do a half job of cleaning. The restaurant is a joke. They take forever to attend to you. Then when the order finally arrives, it's the wrong order. All in all, not worth the money. My family and I will definitely NOT be coming back to this fly by night establishment.

If it were possible, I would give this hotel -5 stars. We booked the Lagoon Beach Hotel or more precisely one of the associated apartments with two rooms, as well as a common living and dining area. After it was not possible to check in earlier than 2pm (we waited 4 hours) despite several requests, a hotel employee showed us the direction to the apartments and then let us walk the approximately 7 minutes from the reception to the apartments, which were located in an attached residential complex. When we arrived at the apartment, we found that one of the two rooms had a side sea view, which was okay, and the second room, however, only had a window into the hallway. There were unfortunately no fans or fresh air for this room. In addition, there were no curtains - only blinds - which nevertheless led through a lot of light. At night, it was hardly bearable in the entire apartment due to the volume of the neighbors that came through the thin walls. Unfortunately, the apartments did not have a generator, so we were affected by load shedding for several hours and had no electricity. The bathrooms were disgusting: mold in the shower, a hairdryer that went off by itself after about 30 seconds for several hours, hair from somebody else in the bathtub and towels that smelled like smoke. The balcony was filthy and the sofa was covered in stains. In addition, there was no room service to change the towels or clean the room. This is supposed to be a four star hotel? After we complained to the reception about this condition, we got another apartment, which was minimally better equipped. Nevertheless, we cannot understand the four star rating and would never want to return to this hotel again.

Arrived about 4am in the morning with 2 other friends, paid R2900 so that I could spend the night only to be told at 10am that same morning that we need to check out because that is "policy" if I am going to pay that money for a night then I expect to stay there longer than 6/7 hours before being told we have to leave, daylight robbery. Perhaps work on a half day rate so that people don't get ripped off. The room cupboard had very bad water damage, perhaps have 4 bottles of water in the fridge since this is a 4 sleeper, instead of me having to drink out the tap. This should be standard in this level of hotel. Terrible food smell coming into our apartment in the morning. Overall, very unsatisfactory. Also, the front desk agents should tell you breakfast times etc. Common practice. Apartment number: A139

I went for a company arranged training session, and was pleasantly surprised at the decor, cleanliness and style of the hotel. I would never stay here because I live nearby, but it looks like a great hotel. The snacks they provided for our training were extremely tasty and were a real highlight. I would recommend it as a venue.

The hotel is located right in front of the beach with some rooms facing the beach, and you can hear/see the tides at night while hitting the shore. The view of Table Mountain is also in sight, especially if the weather is permitting. The hotel has an amazing staff from reception to room service. The bed was also comfortable, and I felt like I was home away from home. The restaurant also accommodated my friend's request for his food as he doesn't eat pork due to his religious belief, so they had to prepare his meal aside from pork products, but overall, the food was delicious. I would recommend the place as I will be going again soon, as Cape Town has become my favourite place since I have started to travel my country.

Enjoying a wonderful stay at the Lagoon Beach Hotel. The mountain ocean facing room ha superb views, and you are constantly reminded of the ocean as you hear the waves crashing down! The breakfast on offer is also good!

Never stayed over, but I recommended Lagoon Beach to our team for sundowners. It was an extremely windy day, but a group of us went out to smoke.... the deck area looks a little worn and not as it was when I've been there previously. Maybe it was just a bad day because of the wind. I had a strawberry daiquiri, and that was really good and the view phenomenal.

Beautifully built along the beach. I'm happy with the warm welcome and staff are always on point with serving the guests. The beautiful ocean view and Table Mountains brings out the best. I enjoyed my stay and looking forward to be back again.

Worst experience I have ever had. Arrive at 19:00, room only ready after 23:00. Food service at the bar, as the restaurant was already closed, even worse. Waited for 2 hours + for a burger and chips. You have to ask for utensils, not even to mention the over escalated menu prices. Several waiters seemingly attending to the same table, yet the orders take forever to be prepared Get to the room, there is not even drinkable water provided, there is a smell like urine in one of the bedrooms I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever of this is the level of service provided If I could rate this experience negative stars, I would. This is my first and only visit to this hotel

Iโ€™m at a loss for words, it was literally one disappointment after another. First night, we were kept awake until 3am with a wild party happening in the corridors and roomsโ€ฆ nothing was done to address the party goers. Second night and after complaining about the noise, we were moved to another room. The initial lady helping us was annoyed at our complaint and I am convinced we were put into disgustingly filthy rooms in spite. There was urine on the loo, dirty toilet paper on the floor and spoilt linen. Again we had to return to reception (utter waste of time) thankfully we were assisted by a friendly member of staff who did try to rectify the situation and again, moved our room. Unfortunately, the damage had been done and we were no longer confident in the management and cleanliness of the hotel. While checking out, there were 2 gentleman with the same complaintsโ€ฆ it seems Lagoon Beach was not well prepared to receive guests this week, as such, they have lost the support of regular visitors. Itโ€™s a pity I canโ€™t share the images and videos of our experience.

A pleasant hotel superbly placed by the sea with a beautiful backdrop of Cape Town - Table Mountain- Lions Head . Excellent staff and very friendly. One star off though due to breakfast buffet and little thought towards Covid , people numbers and space. Appreciate though different cultures have different views and difficult to manage. Dinner in the restaurant was definitely 5 star - delicious and also quiet. Good job๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I was the photographer at a wedding and this is a stunning venue. The serving staff were attentive, but didn't intrude. The food was magnificent, and even though the music inside the banquet hall was quite loud, you could hardly hear it from outside. Stunning views and comfortably appointed rooms add to the attraction of this venue.

Lovely place, nice environment and amazing staff. Stunning view when facing table mountain when at the pool area. The breakfast buffet is very good, variety of things from ceral, breakfast, muffins and pastries. Everything tasted delicious The room was a decent size, bathroom was nice and clean and very spacious. However there werenโ€™t enough amenities such as microwave and no utensils but overall a lovely stay and would be going back. Also staff will kindly assist you with anything.

Staff is super helpful and friendly, the morning buffet is great and the stay was comfortable (we stayed in the apartments). Some of the issues though were that the bath water was brown and there is no security on the beach side so you do feel a little exposed in the evening especially not being able to open windows if youโ€™re on the first floor. The decor and tv were a little outdated, old and a little run down and some rusted screws were laying around in our room on the floor (big yikes). They do, however offer a shuttle to and from the Waterfront and Canal Walk. Our driver, Leeh/ Leigh was an absolute delight and the sweetest person!

Always a pleasure staying at Lagoon Beach. Endless, beautiful views. Some of the apartments has some maintenance issues but it is still a great option especially if traveling with younger children. In terms of conferencing, stay clear of the venue adjacent to the bar as it can become noisy. If you are a small team and don't mind a little noise(like us) , it is fine. Overall, I love this hotel.

What a breath taking experience. The hotel is beach facing so everyday when we have your breakfast you experience the beautiful sound of water and a beautiful view. The hotel has plenty of spaces and rooms the are big enough to enjoy. The hotel has a restaurant with a bar. You can host birthday parties there as they had hosted one but they separated the restaurant and party which is nice. The restaurant also has a beach view. The is a spa in the hotel which is ready to enjoy with reasonable spa treatments which I loved. The spa also has a roof top swimming pool that can be enjoyed if you don't want to go to the restaurant. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. And a bonus is a shuttle to V&A and to Canal walk.

Located in a beautiful spot overlooking the lagoon and beach against the backdrop of table mountain and the soccer stadium. Lovely white sand beach to sit relax and enjoy. Self catering apartment fully equipped for your needs. Apartment does require some maintenance though especially the door locks both main and sliding. The La Mizu restaurant is set up at a beautiful spot that overlooks the table mountain and the city. Very scenic more especially at night. Staff very friendly. Food was delicious. However booking is essential. Overall good security and very friendly staff. Must be on your bucket list.

It was Chelsea's second visit to the beach. Just an update for those that have no idea what I am talking about. Chelsea is my sixteen month old canine daughter. Our first visit to Sunset beach, had a great toll on Chelsea's mental state. Her very first sight of the oh so moving cold waters of the ocean, evoked a good amount of curiosity within her being. As for the touch down into the icy cold waters, Chelsea went from a medium size dog, almost to the size of a chihuahua (shrinking herself) After some effective 'shock treatment ' we kept our fingers crossed for a possible second visit. To our greatest astonishment, Lagoon beach turned out to be the most suitable beach and complimented Chelsea's nerves somewhat. She absolutely adored the atmosphere, even getting glimpses of other canine male buddies. I must say, we had trouble getting her into the vehicle. It was an upheaval battle to try and get a completely 'stiff' dog into the backseat of a two door vehicle, but we managed to eventually. Whenever Chelsea hears the word 'beach' I get a facial tongue bath, which I totally condone, even like as much too. ๐Ÿ˜‹

I stayed here for about a month and my experience here was good. It was a good welcome and the staff here were kinda and helpful. They were nice to give me an upgrade of my room since I was staying for a long time. During my stay here I had stayed in 3 different rooms, 1 was a normal room and the other 2 were sea facing. Overall Iโ€™d say the rooms were good. They didnโ€™t have a standard for the power sockets but this wasnโ€™t a deal breaker. The beds and toilets were comfortable. Although I would say the pillows werenโ€™t as comfortable. It would be nice if they changed them. As for the toiletries, it was a mess. They didnโ€™t change them regularly and even when they noticed there were non, they didnโ€™t add them. I would almost everyday not have body wash. I have stayed in other hotels and this is supposed to be changed everyday day. Most days the floor towel works be missing and they donโ€™t have and hand towel. Which is a basic necessity. The laundry was good and I always got it back on the same day but I felt it was on the expensive side. The breakfast buffet was good too but itโ€™s really unnecessary to have people serve us when itโ€™s a buffet. It would be much faster and easier if people just served themselves. I almost always had to wait at least 5 -10 min to get my food even though I was first. My experience at the beginning of my stay was great but towards the end it wasnโ€™t as good. I was initially going to give this hotel 5 stars but I feel this hotel has a lot of room for improvement considering the price of stay. Would I recommend this hotel? Most definitely!the staff here were really welcoming and the sea view experience this hotel gives you is like no other. I would definitely love to stay here again but I would hope they improve on the points Iโ€™ve mentioned.

Thank you to all the staff. Housekeeping was excellent. The restaurant has great food and very good service which we enjoyed. Reception and bookings thanks from the bottom of our hearts for all the questions and the perfect room accommodation for our wheelchair Lady. Thanks to the bell boys and security. We felt very safe. Thanks to everyone for all your smiles. We enjoy staff who love where they work. Thanks of course to the tours which were organized. We will be back..... We met so many African tourists, thanks for all the interaction and laughter.

Great for conferences and such lovely views! Very central for most people in Cape Town too. You cannot beat a west coast sunset. I cannot vouch for the rooms yet as haven't stayed overnight as I live 20 odd kms away.

A very nice hotel with spacious rooms. The exterior is a bit bland but once you step inside everything looks beautiful. I called the hotel directly and a gentleman gave me a price, promised to send me details but after a hour i got worried and called again and a lady by the name Nosi gave me a higher price, ofcourse i told her about the previous call and said it was a special and would give me that price( by the way this was the same price i saw on the website). If you are running a special why would you not tell your guests about it? Surely that should be the only price given for that period . The food was also very nice.

Beautiful beach with amazing views especially of the table mountain. Can see the sunset. No trees so must have own shade. Never really crowded but over crowded during festive season and sadly filthy dirty. Bottles and plastics in the ocean. Drink and play loud music.
