The Glen Boutique Hotel and Spa is an incredible hotel in Cape Town. It’s located in a great area (Sea Point) and is walking distance to the water and Mojo Market. The staff are incredible and the quality of breakfast food, room service and room quality are all excellent. If you are renting a car and driving, they also accommodate free parking. We would recommend visiting their spa for a massage treatment as well as they offer couples massages and solo spa treatments. 11/10 recommend this hotel for a long or short stay in Cape Town!

The staff were extremely friendly, professional and helpful, definitely made our stay great. Hotel is cute and well located. However, we felt the rooms were outdated and worn, would benefit from renovation. Would have also liked complementary water in the rooms.

BETTER THAN PARADISE ! We are writing our feedback over a year late, but have thought about this since our stay. Our stay in Cape Town was more than memorable, thanks for the Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa. Our room was beautiful, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was by far one of the best we've had in all of SA. Massages and the spa were incredible and perfect. However, what really struck out to us was the staff and management. Incredible, kind, well-informed, caring, generous... those are the words that come to mind when I think of everyone at the Glen. Special thanks to Justin for making our stay extra special, as well as Mark for all the amazing gestures and thoughts. We loved every single moment spent at the Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa. You have truly made us live our best and most unforgettable experience ever, we are looking forward to coming back with our daughter now, Victoire. If you are looking for a place to stay in Cape Town, we HIGHLY recommend.

First and foremost the staff are wonderful. We had an overwhelmingly positive experience at the Glen. Lovely room, beautiful hotel in a great location. Food onsite was really good and very reasonably priced. Short walk to galleries, shops and restaurants. We walked back and forth to the V&A Waterfront all along the promenade. I highly recommend this stylish, comfortable home away from home.

The Glen Boutique is a hidden gem, with the most wonderful staff, rooms and service. Very seldom does one feel such an authentic positive energy from everyone, all the time. The level of service is outstanding and available around the clock. We felt spoilt and carefully looked after and want to thank the team for everything they did to make our stay so wonderful. We will be back, and next time with the whole family!

The Glen The staff and service is what made our stay absolutely amazing. From arrival to departure we can’t say enough good things about the staff there. Service is fantastic and the staff actually take time to get to know you, your likes and dislikes. Nothing is too much trouble! For that we are truly blown away and I’ll give the staff 5 stars! Room wise, we had some issues. Upon arrival we were first placed into a newly renovated room. Looked amazing but facilities wise not so much. We had some shower issues, the water pressure was terrible and the shower was leaking into the room - the new bed was amazing tho. The cupboard space does not give you much to hang things in, plus they’ve added the coffee machine and everything else in there too so your cloths hang over these things and it’s not practical. You’re given a coffee machine with no instructions or what the coffee types ore. We connected with management the next day and were then moved to a deluxe room. If I was paying for this room I definitely would have asked to be moved, the bed was old and I could feel the body shapes of everyone that has slept in it. The double shower was not effective and only one was actually good enough to shower under. The air conditioning leaked over the bed and caused a damp bed for two nights. You get a lovely robe - note don’t use this when you are wet - it’s useless and almost impossible to get into. They have Body wash and shampoo in the showers. Pool towels are also provided. They do a turndown service also that’s rather nice :) We were traveling with friends who also stayed there - the room was fine and they did not have any issues. We also have visitors (my sister) that joined us for breakfast and dinner - they were very accommodating and again can’t fault the staff for their service. They treated our guest very well. Food: Loved breakfast. Absolutely amazing spread, from the buffet to the actually menu selection. Everything was fantastic! Dinner - we had a table of 6 and let’s say they need to up their dinner game for sure. Ordered a T-bone and some pizza - not the best. A few other things, they ran out of some alcohol and coke - more than once. I don’t understand how this can happen. Location wise. It is situated in a peaceful neighbourhood, there are some main food stores and a McDonalds a short walk away - doubt you’d need it. They have some onsite parking facilities - check availability but there are a few lots. Would definitely recommend The Glen, and would happily go back for a revisit.

This boutique hotel has incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We spent four nights here and we had a great time. Breakfast options are excellent and plenty. Parking is gated and very secure. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Checked into our room in the late evening and gave us the wrong room. We booked a suite (300 EUR/night) and they showed us a deluxe room with broken fixtures, paint coming off the wall and stained carpet. The next day we complained that the room was incorrect but they couldn’t give any answers. We asked for a refund seeing as this is not the room we were promised. They said the room would be refunded in full. While we were out of the hotel, they proceeded to move our luggage to a random hotel and claimed ‘they had other guests on stand-by’ leaving us stranded without a place to stay for 3 nights. We returned to the hotel to ask what was going on only to be greeted by the owner Mark yelling and screaming that we get off his property. He continued to become aggressive and threatened physical violence against my partner. I’ve never seen someone who works in service become so violent ever in my life. Avoid this hotel! Two weeks later and we’re still yet to receive a refund.

Another 5 star review for the Glen. I returned this month after a 5 year gap and can confirm the service and standards are even better than they were previously (which is no easy feat). Thank you to Mark and all the team who make this such a wonderful place to stay.

A beautiful experience. I was part of a party and the setting is magnificent. As you step from the street to inside of the premises you are transported into an Experience. The ambience of the venue was calming. The food was gastronomical. Our hosts were staying at the Glen Boutique Hotel. The service was excellent and the personnel were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely visit again.

Truly incredible and wonderful ! The employees added to the surreal experience, everyone went out their way to make us feel special and welcome. The service is of the best, a lot of attention to finer details and very professional. Will be visiting very soon! Highly recommended!

Above and beyond anything we could have ever wanted. Amazing amazing staff, the pool area and outside was perfect, nice pools and hot tub. The friendly staff catered to every single one of our needs, bringing drinks and food as and when we wanted. Would 100% recommend!! The best part about this place is definitely the staff.

Just no comparison to any place I've stayed before. This is South African Hospitality at its best. Captivated by the beauty of the interior from the moment you enter the front door. Friendly, professional staff with a big splash of heart and soul. This is a home away from home in style and luxury. See you again soon Mark and Glen Team.

The Glen Boutique delivered far beyond my expectations. They have the right formula from polite staff full of positive energy to rooms that feel so much like home. You can wake up having a bad day and the Glen team will make all that go away. The rooms are neat and beautifully decorated. For couples looking to have their annual honeymoons, this is the place to go. Ask for room 1 (thank me later). This place, the people, the service, the whole experience. I give them a huge 10/10. I was extremely impressed. Thank you The Glen. I will be back.

We had a fantastic stay at The Glen! Beautiful rooms, great pool area, exceptional breakfast, very relaxing massage (thanks to Junior). Definitely the best here is the staff, who are genuinely friendly in a way that you're just not used to in hotels. I would have liked to hug them all at checkout. I am sure I will come back!

I will miss this place. We had such a great time so that we came back towards the end of our holidays. Lounging by the pool makes you forget that it is a city hotel because it is so nice and quiet. The staff is so nice, well-trained and a real team - always an honest smile on their face. I wish them all the success in the world.

I'm really saddened to write this review but at this point i'm tired of fighting and cannot get anyone from the hotel to get back to me. I booked a 5 night stay for this upcoming christmas week (2022). Unfortunately, I needed to cancel that stay and am entitled to do so according to the Glen's own conditions (no charge before 30 days and i am more than 6 months out). I emailed about 10 times over the course of a month asking them to cancel my reservation, I called 3 times incurring long distance phone charges. Each time I get the runaround from the team, telling me they will call me back (they never do), that the finance team will get back to me (they never to), to cancel with the platform i booked on (i booked directly with them) or they simply never answer. I paid a 50% deposit which I would like to see back but it's simply impossible to get them to cancel my reservation or return my deposit. I really wish I had not booked direct though them and had gone through Booking. Next step is to cancel the charge on my credit card. Really disappointing

An extraordinary stay in our trip to cape town. The staff and the owner are incredibly friendly and warm-hearted. They make you feel comfortable. The room was great and the bagel at the breakfast is sooo tasty. Also the spa treatment was very nice. Thank you for making our trip even better.

so excited to be back at The Glen - we’ve found paradise in the sun 😎🇿🇦. The entire team at The Glen are so welcoming, professional and attentive - from the amazing breakfast to lounging around the pool, evening sundowners and dinner if required - the food is excellent too. All the rooms are individual and luxurious. We do not say this lightly - but so glad we are starting our 2022 back at The Glen.

Overall a nice place to stay. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. However, I feel like the room we were in for six nights wasn’t really worth five stars. The suite was pretty dark, with the outside courtyard small, staring at a wall with no sun loungers. The noise from the seating area above the room started early with breakfast and went on until late. There was a bathroom leak that was fixed during our stay, and it just felt a little dated with two single beds pushed together to make a large one bed. The staff are lovely and the location make the place. However, feels a little in need of a tidy up and modernising of the room. Personally I’d check I wasn’t staying in Room 11 if I stayed again.

The Glen Boutique Hotel was the best part of our honeymoon. We booked through booking.com on a promo and the hotel was a delight. After having some payment trouble due to technical difficulties, Justin was able to maintain my sanity and assure me that my reservation would be honored. From the moment you walk you, you are greeted but many workers who show compassion for their job and their place of work. After check in, our bathroom had an unexpected plumbing issue which did not bother us however the hotel staff immediately upgraded our stay to the penthouse and showed deep apologies to something that I as a guest should have noticed sooner. We went to the spa, drank by the pool, and had dinner at the hotel in between very cheap ubers and sight seeing around cape town. Their dinner is delicious, best burger I have ever had and the massages put me to sleep! Their is a daily breakfast spread along with a hot meal of your choice which is definitely needed after the many activities you can do in town. The workers were so friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this hotel and location to anyone traveling to capetown that wants to be in a safe and welcoming environment. A few workers that went above and beyond were Justin, Joshua, Blessings, Shingchi, and Maggie!
