The rooms are neat, well kept and everything you require. There is a desk to work as well as a couch when you want to relax. The linen is clean and there was enough towels. I really enjoyed the breakfast as well that was served.

Fantastic Stay !!! Super helpful staff. Roseline Davids ( GM) really took care of us and went out of the way to make our stay just superb. The hotel is really lucky to have her take charge. Central to most attractions and amenities. It's great for when you know you will not be spending most of your time at the hotel because it is situated near most attractions. Can walk to most places. Recommend 💯 will definitely be visiting again

We had a wonderful few days and a great experience at the City Lodge V&A. All the staff was helpful and kind. We were greeted by Chante Petersen who assisted us gladly, Thank you Chante. Rooms were clean and pricing affordable. Excellent security and parking. All the Restaurant staff also offered a wonderful service. Will definitely be back.

The lady at reception (forgot her name) slightly chubby, short and round was quite rude and unwelcoming. The one allergic to fresh flowers im sure management will know which one from this description but others were polite and welcoming.

Lovely hotel....very clean tidy hotel..badly let down by serving staff...got given old smelly t-bone steak..not cooked properly...sent back to kitchen....never at any stage got an apology...given a pizza and expected to pay the steak price...then given the cold shoulder the next evening...was very ill the night of eating part of the steak and my wife had to clean up after me. Cleaning staff do an excellent job. Probably won't stay here again!! As an overseas traveller I have spent alot of time in different hotels and coming from Northern Ireland know Belfast hotels and this hotel has very little good comparison ...!!

It was a lovely stay, would have loved a small fridge in the room and room service, but it's not far to walk to the bar to collect your order.

Large mid range hotel a pleasant 10 minutes walk from V and A Waterfront proper. But "swimming pool" is 10 feet long, and may have otters in it. Has a terrace overlooking a waterway which extends along the path to V and A.

Always good service and hospitality. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food is good and so is the service. I will recommend you to stay here. Walking distance to the V&A waterfront and many resturants and attractions

Horrible check-in experience. Check-in is 2pm and our room was not available until 3.15pm. In addition, the bar is advertised to stay open until 2am and it was closed before midnight. We woke up in the middle of the night to our Aircon dripping water which was incredibly noisy and we could then not use our Aircon. The buffet breakfast was great.

The location is great. however, with the services provided I think it’s overpriced. Some of the receptionist were unwelcoming. There’s no fridge and no drinking water provided in the rooms. The location is great

My partner and I stayed for the weekend, with friends joining us on the Saturday. From our personal experience, we would have preferred rooms to have a mini-fridge in them. Very happy otherwise. However, our friends' rooms were not ready by check-in at 2pm, until afyer 3pm. This was extremely frustrating and the front desk would not give us a reason as to why this had happened. The cleaning team had been on the floor we stayed on since 9am that morning, as I had seen them throughout the morning. The lack of priority for the issue was unprofessional and unpleasant.

We have stayed here many times before the location is great and staff friendly and helpful. The rooms decor is a little tired but I understand there are plans for refurbishment which will improve the atmosphere and ambience. One thing they do get top marks for is the introduction of plastic free soap bars great lather and good for hair and body.

Just had a business meeting here. Service was perfect and hotel looks newly renovated. The location to the Waterfront is perfect. I did get to see a room and it is exactly what you would expect from a City Lodge.

We were there for a buffet breakfast & it did not disappoint! What a lovely spread! They even have a little pancake/flapjack machine which works at the press of a button. There was hot dishes, with eggs on order, muffins & pastries, fruits, cereals, variety of spreads, cheeses & cold meats. The staff was friendly & helpful, pouring hot beverages at the tables. We will definitely visit there again. Mayb next time we will stay overnight?

The rooms were amazing. Love the upgrades done. The only thing to watch out for, is the breakfast cost. At the entrance to the breakfast, i was told it was included in my room. (the person checked my room number) & then asked me to sign. Then at checkout, we were told breakfast wasn't included and we had to pay R190 pp. That was appalling! We could of eaten out for less and for a better breakfast.

Blown away by how friendly and professional the staff are here. So helpful, couldn't do enough for us. Really great advert for South African hospitality. Hotel is in a great location with easy access to the V & A Waterfront. Rooms were clean, modern and well appointed. Loved it here.

This hotel may be small, but it checks off everything on our list. It is located within walking distance to the V&A waterfront, also suitable if you have a morning tour booked for the Robben Island museum. We had a nice view of the canals from our room. The hotel is clean, comes with bathtub and hot showers. The staff helped us with our luggage without being asked. We didn't add on the breakfast as there are many food options nearby. It is located in a very safe neighbourhood in Cape Town. Overall, a wonderful stay here, except for the construction noise during the day (please take note), especially disturbing if you are a business traveler.

The hotel was good, location is great, they provide you safe and comfortable vacation. Room was clean. Staff were kind, cheerful and helpful. Dinner was good enough. I recommend the hotel for everyone. If we stay again, it will be probably the same hotel.

Very reasonable and it has a small splash pool, bar and restaurant and even a fitness room. The beds are comfy and the rooms are clean. Definitely recommend for the price. They also have delicious buffet breakfasts😋.

A great experience at the City Lodge Hotel at the V&A Waterfront. Situated perfectly to get to any restaurants or offices nearby. The staff were warm, pleasant and very accommodating. Will definitely come back again.

Just right. We stayed here when it was very busy with an annual bicycle ride. The place is well run and is located within walking distance to the waterfront actives at a very reasonable price. The staff is very helpful. I like the way the rooms are laid out and was impressed with how clean our room was. A very good reasonably priced option close to the waterfront.

The rooms are absolutely beautiful and clean. They are hygienic. The staff is very friendly and respectful to the customers. They also have great communication. I would like to come back next time I’m in the province.

The staff is very friendly, we stayed here with a 11 month old baby and the camping cot they have is a chelino and very nice and big. We had breakfast every day the staff was very friendly and helpful with assisting and going the extra mile when taking my baby with and also accomadating a baby chair. I struggled with my baby to get housekeeping but the housekeeping lady was very sweet and assisted when I need a few things done with I and the baby in the room. This was a very easy and comfortable stay with a baby and the staff is extremely friendly thank you guys so much.

This place is great, good value for money, clean. Only reason for not getting 5 stars is that it is getting a little old but still nice.

Brilliant. We thoroughly Enjoyed our Week Long Stay. Lovely location, a brisk walk from the vibrant V&A Waterfront. Very friendly Staff, made us feel very comfortable. Our room was clean and tidy, overall real value for money. Also the breakfast was enjoyable and wide spread, catering for Vegetarians as well. A real Home away from Home, will surely return. Great hotel. Marked down to 4 star due to the limited items on the food menu. Sad that both chicken and beef burgers weren't up to scratch, as it's my favorite cheat when away from home. However, if you want a great pizza and beer, they cater.

Value for money! The rooms are a good size and really clean. The position is excellent as it’s a short and very easy walk to the waterfront. It’s also very pleasant to sit on the bar/restaurant terrace with a drink and snack. The canal sightseeing water cruise does a convenient stop nearby.

The Hotel staff were very nice and professional. The cleanliness of my room was awful. The Tub was covered in a brown dust and was covered with hair. At the end of my stay I took off the sheets on my bed and the bottom of the sheets were stained yellow, patches of hair everywhere. The only reason I am giving a two star and not a one star is because the hotel staff were very friendly but the housekeeping? awful, if you are a clean freak I would search for another hotel. When I explained to the front desk about the tub, I asked for a bucket, sponge and soap to clean the tub and they brought it down and that is when I started to see the brown layer, the more I scrubbed the dirtier the tub got.

It was just the greatest experience staying at City Lodge V&A Waterfront, all the staff that we came across was so friendly and helpfull, from cleaners, concierge, front desk admins...everyone. I would like to thank you for having us. It was a great stay and I would recommend to anyone!

The ambience of the entire facility is truly homely and warm. The staff are friendly and the rooms are warm, it's definitely a good spot for those cold days. The food menu and offering is a bit constricted as compared to others, but despite that the food is tantalising and appetising. It is situated right along the canal but the view along the deck is to die for! Lighting is exquisite especially during those waking hours for some family photos or updates for your Insta. However the pool is a tad small but I guess that's what Cape Town's beach is for (lol). Pricing is reasonable as the quality meets the buck.

If they can put drinking water in the rooms for tea and drinking.housekeeping to put in an extra effort.front office staff is super...waiters in the restaurant are great too.Then you get not so happy chef and breakfast staff ..only a simple smile can make our breakfast extra special..I loved it

Decent size rooms - some with both bath and shower whilst others have a shower alone. Restaurant has good variety for breakfast. Situated about 10 minute walk, or 5 minute drive away from the V&A Waterfront. Friendly and helpful staff.

Can’t fault this hotel on anything. The reception staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. The location is conveniently situated, walking distance from the V&A waterfront.
